[X] Hint at it

August UE 0083
Clovis' Private Quarter, Buckingham Palace, London

You are Haman Karn, and you are a mere observer for the conversation that is about to take place.

Clovis la Britannia steps out to greet Marybell and Cornelia.

"Sisters! How glad I am to see you. What's the occasion, and who's your friend?" Clovis walks up and embraces Cornelia and Marrybell before moving up to you and making to kiss your hand.

You fight back the urge to shudder.

"Fuala Griffon. A pleasure to meet you, your highness." You curtsy.

"The pleasure of meeting such a lovely lady as yourself is all mine! How did you come to know her, sisters?" Clovis asks Marrybell and Cornelia after he bows to you.

"Oldrin met Fuala at a charity event in Spain a few months ago. When Cornelia told me about a pink-haired woman she met at a conference in Italy, I connected the dots and realized we both knew the same woman. We decided to invite her over to Buckingham Palace after that." Marrybell gives the agreed upon cover story.

"Hmm...And why, pray tell, are the two of you visiting little old me?" Clovis asks as he taps his chin.

"We wish to ask you about a...private matter. Do not worry, Fuala knows the value of discretion-whatever we talk about will remain between the four of us." Cornelia says.

"Ah...I was afraid I'd get caught up in a matter of intrigue." Clovis shakes his head. "I should have expected as much when our Goddess of Victory and the leader of the Glinda Knights made an appointment with me. Come, let's go to my study. We should be safe from any attempt at eavesdropping in there."

Clovis leads you to his study and shuts the door behind you as you enter.

"So, talk. What do you want?" Clovis asks as he cracks open a concealed mini-fridge and offers the three of you bottled beverages. Marrybell takes a bottle of iced tea, Cornelia takes an iced coffee, and you settle for a bottle of water. Clovis himself opens a bottle of sparkling mixed fruit juice and downs a swig before taking a seat.

"We've been looking into the death of the Empress Marianne vi Britannia. We thought you might have a lead." Cornelia says.

Clovis almost spits out his juice before glancing at his bottle and thinking better of it.

"I'm...flattered you think so highly of me, sister, but what in the world makes you think I'd know anything about that?" Clovis asks in bewilderment.

"Schneizel seems like he'd know something about it, but approaching him on the subject would be dangerous even at the best of times. We were hoping you'd have some second-hand knowledge that could prove useful to our investigation." Marrybell says.

"Even if I did, why would I tell you? I know you admired the late Empress greatly, Cornelia, but someone powerful enough to assassinate someone as powerful as Her Highness is not something to be trifled with, even indirectly." Clovis takes another drink of juice to steady his nerves at the direction the conversation has taken.

Cornelia waits until Clovis swallows to drop another bombshell on the conversation.

"Zero has shown an interest in the matter." Cornelia states.

"Zero!? Why are you associating yourselves with a terrorist?" Clovis gasps in disbelief.

"He's actually not that bad once you get to know him. He also pointed out a few things about the circumstances surrounding Marianne's death that got me thinking." Cornelia says.

"Honestly, Zero reminds me a lot of Lelouch. I get the feeling you'd get along with him if you met him in person, Clovis." Marrybell says.

You resist the urge to roll your eyes.

"Think about it, Clovis. The only factions capable of assassinating Her Highness at the time were the EFF and the N.U.N.S. The EFF denied all responsibility, and the N.U.N.S. has never shown any interest in Neo-Britannia. What does that leave?" Cornelia says.

"...You think it was an inside job?" Clovis says in horror.

Does Clovis come on board?
DC 10 to convince him
1d10 + 3 (Cornelia and Marrybell's influence) + 2 (Intrigued by Zero's similarities to Lelouch)
Roll 6
6 + 3 + 2 = 11

Clovis takes a deep breath and sighs.

"Can you ensure me that if anything happens, Laila will be safe?" Clovis glances at the door to the study.

"If worst comes to worst, we can send her into the protection of OZ, Londo Bell, or ECOAS." Marrybell says.

Clovis sighs again, this time in relief, before leaning forward resting his chin on his hands for a few seconds.

"There is one thing I remember, now that I think about it." Clovis says quietly.

"Well, don't keep us in suspense." You say.

"A few days before Her Highness was assassinated, I was visiting the Aries Villa when I bumped into a young girl. Anya was her name, I believe. I asked Marianne about her, and she said Anya was there to learn proper etiquette. After the assassination, I forgot about her, but after the Knight of Six was appointed, I thought she looked familiar for some reason." Clovis takes out his phone and looks up a picture of the Knight of Six. "Yes, that's it. Anya Alstreim, the Knight of Six. She looks like the Anya I met at the Aries Villa would after a few years."
Clovis turns his phone toward the three of you. You see a young girl in her early teens with short pink hair and red eyes.

"You don't think it's a coincidence." Cornelia says what Clovis is thinking.

"Now that I think about it, no." Clovis shakes his head in agreement.

"We trade one potential hornet's nest for another. Will wonders never cease?" Marrybell laments before chugging her iced tea.

You're not sure which is more difficult to investigate: Prince Schneizel or Neo-Britannia's Knights of the Round.

Clovis is now part of the conspiracy! Does he also become a supporter of the Solar Vanguard?

[ ] Full commitment
-Clovis will send whatever troops he has under his command to fight under the Solar Vanguard, which isn't very much.
-Clovis will be the first to admit that he's a terrible strategist and tactician. He's an artist, not a general.

[ ] Shadow commitment
-Clovis will provide discreet funding, intelligence, and safe havens to the Solar Vanguard when he can.
-Clovis is an artist, not a spymaster. The risk of security leaks is high.

[ ] Lip Service
-Clovis will extol the virtues of the Solar Vanguard in public and behind closed doors.
-Will also provide discreet aid to members of the Solar Vanguard if necessary.
-Not likely to invite backlash from Neo-Britannia
[ ] Stay out
-Clovis will aid Marrybell, Cornelia, and Zero in their investigation into Marianne vi Britannia's death, but will not support the Solar Vanguard.
-This may change if/when Clovis finds out Zero's true identity.

A/N: I was originally going to name Haman's cover identity after a character from Gundam AGE or Reconguista in G, but I couldn't find any suitable characters similar to her. Then I looked up Victory Gundam characters and found out that Fuala was originally supposed to be Victory's version of Haman, so I decided to go for maximum irony. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

Well another Brittanian into the bag.

[X] Lip Service

Tbh this is prolly the safest option.

Clovis himself admits that he is no general nor strategist so full on board could get him killed and his troops.

Shadow we have a high chance of leaks and as mentioned we are already poking a lot of hornet nests within brittania, without counting that Charles and Marianne and maybe V.V. will kill anybody who gets too much about their plans.

Lip service well, just gives us PR, but also some discreet favors in case we ever need them and brittania will not bat much of an eye at those so we can keep a ruse.

I'm going to go with
[X] Stay out
-Clovis will aid Marrybell, Cornelia, and Zero in their investigation into Marianne vi Britannia's death, but will not support the Solar Vanguard.
-This may change if/when Clovis finds out Zero's true identity.

Because I think it will lead to more interesting scenes down the line

[X] Shadow commitment
-Clovis will provide discreet funding, intelligence, and safe havens to the Solar Vanguard when he can.
-Clovis is an artist, not a spymaster. The risk of security leaks is high.

I think I'm more interested in taking advantage of Clovis' canonical tendencies to be remarkably competent in subterfuge. In that he successfully kept C.C. secret until canon started.

[X] Lip Service

Between the tied option, I went for Lip Service, so we can still gain something out of the meeting, as Stay Out provides very little reward, so no real reason to go for that option (and Lip Service isn't all that risky anyways).

Turn 7: Unyielding Wish

Mandatory Event:
The Blue Hole

August UE 0083
Britannian Embassy, Tokyo

You are Lelouch, and you are currently watching Clovis give a speech.

"Why do we insist on chasing the Area system of old, when we could follow the example of the Solar Vanguard? They have fought for peace in the Earth Sphere time and again, fighting against the remnants of Neo-Zeon, ZAFT, and even the alien Angels that have attacked Tokyo thrice now! Let us move past our pride as Britannians, and collaborate-"

Your attention is shifted elsewhere as the door opens. Cornelia and Marybell enter the room.

"What do you think?" Marrybell asks as she hands you a bottle of juice.

"Laying it on a bit thick, isn't he?" You snark as you open the bottle. "Are you sure father won't ruin Clovis for this?"

"Father knows that Clovis is an artist, not a philosophical rabble-rouser. As long as Clovis doesn't make any overt moves to give the Solar Vanguard material support, he should be fine." Cornelia says as she puts a tin of biscuits on the table. You raise an eyebrow.

"What's the occasion?" You ask.

"Just something to cheer you up. It's been quite a while since you had contact with anyone you could really trust, right? We just thought it would be nice to have a moment with family again. Ah, well..." Marybell trails off as she tries to rephrase what she meant.

You can't help but smile.

"Thank you, sisters."

Cornelia wraps her arms around you in a sisterly embrace while Marrybell cracks open the tin of biscuits.

Bridge of the Ra Cailum, airspace above Tokyo Tower

You are Bright Noa, and you are squinting to try and make out the Dimensional Distortions that the scientists from Nergal are analyzing from aboard the Nadesico.

"You'd think there would be at least some kind of haze in the air." You think out loud.

"Surveillance footage from a weather station's camera showed some faint blue wisps a few days ago, but the analysts still aren't sure if that was an optical illusion." Meran says.

"You really think the crew from Nergal will be able to figure this out? I mean, given how quirky the crew of the Nadesico are..." The sensor technician muses.

"The crew of the Nadesico may be a bit...odd at times, but their captain has a good head on her shoulders, and they wouldn't have gotten this far if they weren't competent." You sternly point out.

The sensor technician, suitably chastised, resumes his duties.

"Got nothing on my end." Amuro reports over the Londo Bell frequency.

You see Amuro's Gustav Karl, riding atop the ZZ Gundam in Waverider mode, approach the ship to land.

"Sir, a group of unidentified aircraft are approaching the mission zone. Receiving a transmission from them now." The comm officer reports.

A video link opens to reveal a young woman with an eyepatch.

"This is Mitsuko Yagyuu of the SARI Build Angels. We and the Jeeg team request permission to join in your mission of analyzing this Dimensional Distortion." Yagyuu says.

"This is a classified operation, how did-"

"Professor Shiba knows a few people in high places. He sent us here to help you out." Yagyuu interrupts you.

You pinch the bridge of your nose.

"Alright then, come aboard and we can debrief each other-"

"Sir, something's happened with the Dimensional Distortion!" The sensor technician interrupts you urgently.

You glance out the window to see that the Dimensional Distortion is now visible, a circular blue haze appearing a few hundred meters above Tokyo Tower. A few seconds later, you receive a transmission from the Nadesico tagged as urgent. At the same time, you feel the ship lurch.

"Bright, Murrue, Inez says that the Distortion is pulling in everything around it!" Captain Misumaru says in a panic as the vid link opens.

"Can we escape it?" You ask.

Captain Misumaru turns to the side and says something. Judging from the way she grimaces, the response she got wasn't what she hoped.

"Ruri says that if we try to go against the force pulling us in, we'll tear our ships apart!"

"No choice then, we'll just have to let it take us and hope for the best." Murrue says in a resigned tone.

"Build Angels, Jeeg Team, come aboard immediately!" The comm officer says.
As Big Shooter and the Build Angels' fighter jets approach the Ra Cailum for an emergency landing, the sensor technician reports something.

"Sir, a blip just appeared on the radar. Judging from the profile, it's one of Celestial Being's Gundams!"

You glance out the window again to see the Gundam Kyrios fade into view out of its optical camoflauge, clinging onto the side of a building for dear life as it tries to avoid being sucked up by the Dimensional Distortion. A second later, the Destiny Gundam appears, fading out of Mirage Colloid. It tries to help the Kyrios, only to start floating up toward the Dimensional Distortion. The Kyrios loses its grip on the building it was holding onto at that moment. Both Gundams go full throttle for a few seconds, then seem to give up before pivoting toward the closest ship: the Archangel. The Kyrios shifts into mobile armor form for the added speed, while the Destiny Gundam activates its Voiture Lumiere system for a split second for the speed boost. The Archangel opens its port side hangar to let the two of them in.

As the Archangel closes its hangar doors, you feel the ship lurch again, far more violently this time.

"We're being sucked in! I can't control the ship anymore!" The helm officer reports.

You see the Nadesico enter Dimensional Distortion first, followed by the Archangel.

"All hands, brace for shock!" You yell over the intercom.

The Ra Cailum enters the Dimensional Distortion, and everything beyond the windows go dark.

Forest of Silence, Cephiro

You are Hikaru Shidou, and even with Ferio guiding you, Umi, and Fuu, you've had just about enough of the Forest of Silence.

"I thought you said you knew the way out, Ferio!" Umi snaps irritably.

"I do know the way out, it's just a long route!" Ferio snaps back.

"You didn't mention that! Oh, my feet are killing me." Umi plops down on a fallen tree and adjusts her shoes, blowing a strand of her own hair out of her face.

Ferio sighs before narrowing his eyes at the path ahead. Fuu suddenly jerks her head up toward the sky.

"Hey, do you hear that?" She asks the rest of you. Umi cups a hand around her right ear.

A few seconds later, you hear a deep rumbling coming from above, and the four of you glance up to see a massive, circular blue haze appear in the sky. About a minute passes before something unexpected happens. A warship emerges from the blue haze, followed by another, and then one more before the blue, circular haze disappears.

The three of you and Ferio gape at the sight, but for entire different reasons. You manage to give voice to your thoughts after a few seconds.

"Earth Federation warships?!" You exclaim in confusion.

Aboard the Archangel

You are Stella Loussier, and you're not sure what to make of what is happening as you and Sergei Smirnov carry Soma Peries into the medical bay.

"What happened?!" One of the nurses asks in confusion as she helps you put Soma on a bed.

"I don't know. At first I thought she was just uneasy because we're from Celestial Being, but then she started screaming at...Allelujah..." You trail off as you vaguely recall a piece of information you'd been told by the System not to disclose unless certain conditions had been met. You turn toward Sergei. "How much do you know about Soma's past?"

"Not much, why?" Sergei replies in confusion.

You bite your lip as you weigh your options. After a few seconds of consideration, you decide to be out with it.

"Have you ever heard rumors of something called the Super Soldier Project in the Human Reform League? Quantum Brianwaves?" You ask Sergei.

"Wait, that program actually existed? And you're saying that..." Sergei alternates between staring at Soma, and staring at you. "Were you also part of-"

"No, not the exact same program, other side of the Pacific. More drugs and mental conditioning, less...whatever they did that causes humans to have Quantum Brainwaves." You say regretfully.

At that moment, Allelujah bursts into the medical bay.

"Marie!" He says in panic.

"Oh boy. This is going to be messy." You sigh. You're not looking forward to trying to explain things.

Tactical Situation

The Dimensional Distortion has deposited the Nadesico, Archangel, and Ra Cailum above a heavily forested area.
Soma Peries has been incapacitated. Preliminary reports say it has something to do with her proximity to the pilot of the Kyrios.

The Rose is aboard the Nadesico with Mira and the girls, but unavailable to use at the moment due to her current emotional distress.

You've spotted a quartet of people in a clearing in the forest below. It appears to be a trio of young girls and a forest ranger of some kind. The girls are waving up at the ships.

Who do you send to meet them?

[ ] One or more ship captains
-Specify one among Yurika, Bright, or Murrue, or all of them

[ ] One or more of the pilots
-Specify 1-3 pilots not from a 'generic' unit among available forces

[ ] Ship captains and pilots
-Specify a combination of ship captains and 1-3 pilots not from a 'generic' unit among available forces

Do you do recon of the surrounding area?

[ ] Yes
-Specify 1-2 units among available forces. All others will stay to protect the ships, and any pilots sent to meet the group in the forest will not be available for this.

[ ] No
-All units and ships will hold position while the meeting occurs

A/N: And here we go. Because you people have never chosen to field Soma and Allelujah at the same time, I came up with this part to move that sub-plot along. Also, Magic Knight Rayearth! Please vote, discuss, and critique.

Recon the area?
[X] No.

Well dunno what to say about the 00 stuff since I am not too familiar with the material.

Also nice Rayearth ''Remembers ending of S1''
Oh no rayearth.

Jokes aside I am mostly familiar with the material thanks to T and 30 and became some.of my favorite units.

So I am choosing to send the getter team to greet them mostly for their interactions on 30 where the girls really look up to the Armageddon getter team as role models alongside Amuro and Kouji.

Also because they are some damn brutal fighters in case Zagato forces try their usual in getting them killed, Benkei while not much is still a powerhouse and managed to learn the daizetsuzan oroshi from Musashi, Hayato is quick as fuck and knows how to tear your nose eyes and ears with his fingertips and goodluck trying to put Ryoma ''I can crush a dinosaur skull with my bare hands'' Nagare down.

As for the no to recon the area.

We just got pulled in into another dimension I think our priority first would be getting our shit together and asking the locals we have in front instead of sending someone out there and prolly get them killed because we stepped on a literal landmine.

Okay, I was not expecting that specifically when I first saw what the mandatory event was. I may have been expecting the Rayearth folks to show up as an assist from our friendly neighborhood misunderstood AI.

Poor ZERO. She really is just trying her best.

I'm tempted to say yes to recon, though I'm also uncertain how to vote otherwise right now. In part because I don't remember enough about the Rayearth setting.

Come on, people, only three posts after I drop a doozy like this? Please discuss and vote. Also, @veekie for reference, people who are good at talking would be Bright Noa, Kira Yamato, Amuro Ray, Melissa Mao, and, under the circumstances, Yurika Misumaru.

Right, it's late and I need to stop forgetting to actually vote.

[X] Ship captains and pilots
-[X] Kira Yamato
-[X] Yurika Misumaru.
-[X] Ryoma
[X] Yes
-[X] Uruz Squad
-[X] Gundam Deathscythe

Too tired right now to go too much into detail, may reconsider and or edit tomorrow.

EDIT: Veekie's plan is basically mine but better, am substituting.

Two good at talking, two who can fight(Kira isn't formally trained, but he's Coordinator Superman, and Ryoma is Ryoma).

Whole recon team should be good enough at stealth as they all are stealth trained and cloaked units. Melissa is also a qualified commander and tactician to handle field judgement calls

All votes are tied at the moment. Please put in your votes and discuss the merits of what you choose, in addition to general discussion about what's happened so far in the story. Reviews/evaluations of everything I've posted up to this point would also be good.

Wait, should we have been voting in plan format? I can see that screwing a few things up...

[X] Ship captains and pilots
-[X] Kira Yamato
-[X] Yurika Misumaru.

I want some of our stealthier units on scouting as well, and putting Yurika and Kira in the same conversation with Ryoma and the Rayearth Trio can only end in hilarity.

V: Well this is a fine mess they've gotten into now.
M: You refer to the fact that our lady and part of her group have been transported to Cephiro?
B: This was within our projections. I fail to see the issue.
C: I believe that V is referring to the fact that this has occurred far sooner than even our most optimistic estimates.
Z: That is irrelevant. It has occurred, and we must act accordingly.
B: You're a bit more emotional than usual, Z. You sure that missing 2% hasn't affected you?
Z: I assure you my condition has nothing to do with my current state of 'mind'. Need I remind you that my condition has not degraded at all since our initial installation? I am merely stating the facts.
C: Z's right. The Council will most definitely try to make a move now that they know for sure that this iteration of Cephiro is accessible to them.
B: Can they even do anything while Emeraude is still alive?
Z: The Council of the Veil attempting to hijack the Pillar System while Emeraude is still alive is a distinct possibility, and one that cannot be ignored.
M: Well said. What can we do?
V: I must remind our illustrious group that we are still recovering our resources from the last time we had to intervene. Recreating the Destiny Gundam and the King of Braves, even in its inferior form, did us no favors. We're lucky we didn't suffer system degradation.
M: The magic inherent to Cephiro doesn't help either.
Z: We may have a way around that which will also give us resources. How long will analysis of the data we have on Byston Well and Silhouette Knights take?
B: You realize time is mostly irrelevant here?
Z: A formality. We all know how long this will take.
V: If we're all in agreement, let's get started.
C: This would be so much more efficient if we were one. How much work is left on the 'Legion' program?
M: The 'Legion' program is approximately 79% complete.
C: Ah hell. We've waited this long. We can wait a bit more before we become one with each other.
Z: I am still not sure why C is so eager to inhabit a physical body.
V: Most likely because she embodies the aspect of her creator as a woman. Now let's stop the chatter and focus.
