[x][ACUA] Plan Unite the Union for Political Action
6 actions, 68/68 funds
-[x] Make a Newspaper
--[x] National: The Continental Worker 20 funds, -10 per turn.
-[x] Do an on-the-ground campaign in California, talking to AFL workers to convince them to switch over to ACUA unions.
-[x] Invite the American Railway Union and their Chicago allies to associate with the ACUA.
--[x] Offer their president, Debs, a leadership role within the association.
-[x] Reach out to the New Orleans and New York unions who had participated in the strike last year (RFAA/FAM associated + Tailor's Unions) to associate with the ACUA.
-[x] Require associated unions to officially support the Socialist Labor Party and encourage their members to vote such, improving election chances in each state they are in.
-[x] Direct your members to campaign for the UF.
--[x] Illinois, 36 funds.
--[x] Colorado, 12 funds.
-[x][UF] Budget Secure the Statehouses
-[x][UF] Vote against expelling the anarchists, but attempt to stay even if they are.
-[x][UF] Only support socialist revolutions.
-[x][UF] Socialist revolutions must be lead by the industrial proletariat.
-[x][UF] A political party must be organized around so it can lead in the eventual revolution.

[x][UF] Budget Secure the Statehouses
-[x] Build up a proper electoral apparatus in states using local org members.
--[x] New York City, 27 funds, 27 per turn
--[x] Chicago, 11 funds, 11 per turn
--[x] Other Illinois, 27 funds, 27 per turn
-[x] Actually campaign in a state
--[x] Illinois, 10 funds
--[x] Colorado, 10 funds
-[x] Send delegates to this year's Second International meeting, 3 funds.

ACUA takes steps to fulfill its ambitions of becoming an [inter-]national organization, both uniting existing United Front-affiliate unions under its banner (and defending its home turf from AFL encroachment that exists only to divide the working class by race as well as by organization), and continuing the ongoing campaign to organize the northeastern stevedores. This means bringing on board a lot of anarchist-inflected unions and elevating an anarchist to the executive council of the Association (I may delete this depending on what the RFAA plan looks like, negotiations are ongoing), but I'm hoping the national newspaper and northeastern organizing campaign will offset this partially or wholly (and also spread Marxism to the midwest and east, where it has been largely absent hitherto unless you tell yourself a lot of comforting half-truths about the SUS). The requirement to support the SLP in its election campaigns is both an act of UF solidarity and the correct application of Marxian doctrine; as is the directive to members to support the electoral campaign in Colorado, where the ex-Populists have asked for aid (the northeastern organizing campaign is getting delayed a turn to make room for this).

That those election campaigns be concentrated in Illinois and Colorado is an investment in the actual (Colorado) and potential (Illinois) new branches, with chances of retaining or securing the governorships. It also happens to, in concert with sending delegates to the International congress, work out nicely to spend exactly 61 funds (before the addition of 27 RFAA funds to set up a campaign apparatus in New York City). ACUA's positions at the International congress reflect its commitment to working with the anarchists in the framework of the UF and on integrating its new members but not at the expense of the international unity of the class-conscious proletariat; opposition to imperial adventures in Cuba under the cover of supporting an anticolonial revolution; status as a primarily proletarian organization ("farm unions" notwithstanding; these are associations of migrant sowers and pickers more than they are agricultural cooperatives); and commitment to political action.

Dark Times, Dark Tidings in the Dark Darkness of Uuuuuh.
[ @Magoose wrote almost all of this so any credit goes to him, and I just edited on some of the political stuff to fit.]

Dark Times, Dark Tidings in the Dark Darkness of Uuuuuh.

Corner lit, and sunken, near empty candles were lighting the meeting hall, as the young men blew smoke rings with their cigars. It was late in the evening, but they were not concerned with the lacking, and the keeping of time. They were more focused on a great deal of the things that were soon to occur. And there were many things that were soon to be discussed.

"The Northeast is burning black with the banners of freedom." One spoke as he took a drag and felt so much calm as the smoke was exhaled. "it is growing dark and frightening. They are seeking to destroy the Edan of this world, and much more."

"The Govenor has already been informed, but due to the nature of these organizations, while distasteful, are not considered illegal." The second spoke as he tapped ash from the cigarette and took another drag, yet he himself could understand. "Discomforting as it may be, it leads little. This will be, as all events that occur in America, that are not powerful, a passing fad."

"And what of the South?" another spoke. "we are in deadly competition, as those Jeffersonians have decided to swear off the progress we are bringing them."

Another spoke, but this time, smoke only came bellowing, as he coughed. "They are key to the south, even as they are growing more radical, keep them under control, and their followers will be greatly demoralized."

"But what of the Breakers? They push the collectivists further and further by the month. They increase in power every day and I fear that should the worst come to pass . . ."

"I am in agreement. They seek to destroy the country, to sunder the great edifice, and break it down into small pieces to be remade to their own designs. Whichever form it takes, it will not be America." the first said as he took out the cigarette. "But for now, we are pointed at the same people for is it not said that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"? Perhaps, once you all remember that so much can be-"

There was then a knock from above. and all the men looked towards the stairs. A shade cloaked by lights, a figure of a dear devil or something close. "Boys!"

Or to the man known as Geoff, embarrassment. "Mom!" he raised his voice to show authority, but at the moment, they were all brought back into the world, their carefully coded words and ideas, and many many plots were placed on hold. "We're in the middle of the meeting.

"Well if you can have a moment, I have dinner ready for you all, and I do not want it to get cold, so get your sorry red hides up here and join us for dinner."

Everyone was quiet, before Geoff's friend... asked. "Is it pork?"

There was a great laugh from Geoff's mother and she smiled, the white from her teeth was seen as it reflected from the light. "Yes, Peas, Pork, gravy, and I have some cake from Lucy's and Martian's bakery."

All the young men then rose from their seats. "Wait, guys, the meeting!" Geoff protested.

"Hey if your mom put in the effort to make us dinner, were not going to spit in her face." His friend replied.

I choose to believe Geoff is one of those fellows who calls his wife "mother."

[X][TFAM] Plan The Worker-Peasant Alliance

@Random Member plan is good, and as an aside we should throw money into getting farms every turn if we can, try to snow ball it.

...How feasible would it be for the Minuitmen to encourage or at least support investigative journalism, or at least help form it? Considering while not exactly in their current wheelhouse, the ideas behind investigative journalism is something that is quite compatible. Detective reporters that do deep dives on topics they cover, exposing the hidden truth of stories or places they'd rather not get out. Such as the backroom deals and sabotage that built the hidden foundation of Standard oil's sheer dominance.

I asked Physices about something along those lines, establishing a school of journalism, and they said it'd be 50 funds.

EDIT
Specifically, I asked them because it's something that the SUS is going to be doing.

[X][SUS] Society for Universal Suffrage 1896 Action Plan
-[X] Make a standardized bureaucracy for the organization to maintain cohesion in it and all its branches. Gives +1 action, 30 funds, -5 funds per turn (cost scales with size).
-[X] Have the credit union bureaucracy automatically expand the credit union to any areas SUS has a presence in.
-[X] Use the Chicago ethnic clubs connections to formalize the language federations as part of SUS.
-[X] Establish "The Chicago School of Journalism", a dedicated campus for teaching the vital skills of writing accessible, honest, and persuasive articles, and the investigative, interviewing, and research skills needed to find the truth that those in power want to obscure. 50 funds.
-[X] Establish training for members in regards to teaching them against prejudice towards minorities and against misogyny. -2 funds per turn
--[X] Make this training mandatory
-[X] Direct your members to campaign for the UF. 18 funds.
-[X] Approach governor Altgeld to run for the SLP.
-[X] Accept the Salon's proposal (free action).
-[X][UF] Budget Secure the Statehouses
-[X] Second International Positions:
--[X] Demand the anarchists are not to be expelled, and walk out with them abandoning the Second International if they are.
---[X] Division in the face of the enemy brings disaster. The very existence of the United Front is proof of the power of unity in the struggle for liberation. So many of our own members are anarchists, we will not abandon our comrades.
--[X] Only support socialist revolutions.
---[X] The liberatory struggle must be united, as any piecemeal efforts will be used to drag the people back under the heel of the tyrants.
--[X] Socialist revolutions can come from agrarian societies as well as industrial.
---[X] Socialist revolutions in agrarian societies are more likely to falter in the face of the industrial bourgeoisie order, yet that is no excuse not to try, or to ignore the plight of the farmworker.
--[X] The working class should focus on direct action, not electoralism.
---[X] Electoralism is a weapon, not the battlefield. Yet it is a weapon that should not be ignored.

Zimmerwald taking over ACUA, locking out old WCUA hands out of leadership... You gotta admire that confidence.
We were good socialists you know? Yes, a little spotty on theory, but we were doing hard work that needed doing, when and where no one else did.
Just throwing the founders out like trash, no respect.

13 funds
[]Plan Minutemen foundation.
-[] Set up a research committee to figure out the best old and new small unit tactics. 2 funds, -2 funds per turn.
-[] Establish democratic elections for committee appointments in which the top candidates, as voted on by the whole organization, are appointed.
--[] Additionally, overall leadership of the organization will be elected in this manner. (Optional)
-[] Send agitators to publicly speak supporting your cause.
--[]The Colleges. 6 funds
-[]Look for a group that would be interested in creating something like, say a nonlethal air-gun for training/experimentation purposes. 5 funds

Looks like investigative journalism may be way out of m groups price range at the moment. Though, considering the comment of what would make the path to non-lethally air gun less brutally hard, I am gonna try and aim for a write-in to try and look for a possible prospective group that would be interested in taking on the challenge. While recruiting in Colleges due to them being paces of learning, and could bring new perspectives and knowledge.

[X][RFAA] Plan Horse-Trading and Rural Outreach
-[X] Send organizers to set up mutual aid networks and soup kitchens in a region.
--[X] Philadelphia, 16 funds, -8 per turn
--[X] New Jersey cities, 20 funds, -10 per turn
-[X] Send organizers into the New York countryside to find former Farmers' Alliance farmers who have been hit hard by the recession and try to convince them to form councils, joining the RFAA.
--[X] Also impress that, in addition to the coop stores and mills they already have, they should turn their farms into mutuals or coops, sharing workloads and equipment.
-[X] Find farms that have gone bankrupt and in danger of being bought out by capitalists and buy them yourselves, combining them into coops that the former residents are welcome to work at. 30 funds.
--[X] First talk to the farmers involved for their permission.
--[X] Keep them more integrated with the federation like your factories, still democratically run, but profits (after a healthy wage) put towards the federation as a whole.
-[X] Find whoever legally owns the land of shuttered factories in New England and give funds to members to buy them and run democratically. 30 funds.
-[X] Accuse and defame the most influential and reactionary of the New York police department to try to get them fired, allowing your members to get into a better position. 24 funds.
-[X] Do a test run of buying houses and other livable buildings in New York and using them as communal living. 10 funds, -2 per turn.
-[X] Contribute extra funds to the UF. 27 Funds.
United Front Votes:
-[X] Support the SPA's request to join the United Front.
-[X] Demand the anarchists are not to be expelled, and walk out with them abandoning the Second International if they are.
-[X] Only support socialist revolutions.
-[X] Socialist revolutions can come from agrarian societies as well as industrial.
-[X] The working class should focus on direct action, not electoralism.

As part of the horse-trading with the ACUA, the RFAA will be donating enough to the United Front that it can set up an electoral apparatus in NYC. Also want to keep expanding Mutual Aid, buying shuttered factories, and expanding said Mutual Aid to include more housing. Sending out organizers into the countryside and buying out farms to give the RFAA something of a rural presence. Oh yeah, and screwing over the most reactionary of the NYPD.

I'm sure everyone is very shocked that the Anarchists are going to walk out of the 2nd International if it expels the Anarchists.

[X] [SPA] Plan Coops and Wilmington Prep
-[X] Stockpile guns. 8 funds.
-[X] Integrate the already existent coop mills and shops into the organization, and set up a committee to do the same as more Farmer's Alliance members join. 6 funds, -2 per turn.
-[X] Test out voluntarily forming large coop farms out of their willing members.
-[X] Form a committee to organize reaching out to the Farmer's Alliance members to try to convince them to switch over, to be disbanded once the SPA is bigger. 5 funds, -3 per turn
-[X] Request to join the United Front.

For the SPA, I'm gonna say that they're joining late in the year, so they won't be voting on United Front issues.

Oh, and since we can only vote for two organizations the Van der Linde Gang dies. Maybe it's their canon fate, or maybe there's an argument with another would-be allied gang that turns into a gunfight and Dutch gets killed.

I think your plan is better than mine so I'm going to go for it

[X][RFAA] Plan Horse-Trading and Rural Outreach

[X][TFAM] Plan The Worker-Peasant Alliance

[X] [TOD] Plan Focused Actions
-[X] Promise funds to any Ohio candidate who supports the women's suffrage amendment as well as campaign for it. ? funds. (32 Funds)
-[X] Use the success of the New York strikes to continue pressuring the city government into adapting labor laws to ensure it doesn't have to happen again. ? funds. (32 Funds)
-[X] Lobby various politicians to support progressive laws in a state (choose one). ? funds. (31 Funds)
--[X] New York

Focusing on Ohio and New York for the moment. Not 100% comfortable with all of the SLP points, so not comfortable officially supporting that specific party.

[X][TFHM] Suffer a moat, grow in wisdom
-[X] Set up branch offices, many permanent meeting halls in towns all across the West. 40 funds, +1 action.
-[X] Help organize the rest of the Chinese workers into unions who can, such as restaurant workers. 20 funds.
-[X] Set up soup kitchens in California cities and associated towns. 4 funds, -4 per turn.
-[X] The Anarchist Plan
-[X] Have railcars made by the FMC be rigged for Yellow Scarf secret control, allowing them to be quickly shut down. 5 funds. Gives +50 per turn to the above action.
-[X] Store funds for later use in aiding Sun Yat-Sen's revolutionary activities. +9 Funds (free action)
-[X] Work with the west coast unions to buy out their (often near-bankrupt) factories. 20 funds.

Get another action to offset add to the one that was moved in the Anarchist Plan
Do some outreach
Do some more outreach
Get another action and most of the obvious benefits
Get the +50 per turn early on, we can determine if we want to push through with the actions later
Seems to be a free action, so we can store funds so we don't get a repeat disaster
Gain more ground and outreach

Expand as much as possible and acquire much as possible. We will not fail China again.
