I was thinkin that as the jutsu becomes colder it would wreck stuff in Leaf even without nuke-level, so perhaps Akane and Hazou could travel to the Iron Mine to test it at full power, only for them to find it becomes a nuke

I like that plan! It'll take a little justification to support Hazou this level of caution, but 'I think the jutsu may behave unusually and become a threat when stressed like this' could be sufficient. Hazou is a sealmaster, after all, he's used to habitual paranoia and the benefits it provides.

AFAICT the only weird stuff it does pre-nuke is the snow, which is cool and all but not 'we need to be miles away and train only via Shadow Clone' cool.
To be clear, we still have several ways the naive vote may not kill us:
- There could be a non-nuke outcome
- QMs could be nice and use uncharacteristic caution
- QMs could be nice and model this in a continuous way where we can see it ahead of time
- etc.

IIRC the in-universe reason Hazou suspects it may do more if she improves it is because it makes stuff more brittle when used, imo this could be rationalized in-character to make them hesitant of its use at full power in Leaf, otherwise it may cause accidental destruction to windows, homes, plants, etc.

None of this justifies 'we need to be miles away and train only via Shadow Clone', therefore it kills you and destroys Leaf.
No plan has specified any sort of caution and currently Akane is learning how to Nuke.

- Since Hazou has improved ES time to make another replica of the Jreat Seal
- Use a much time as possible.
- Have Noburi refill Hazou's chakra
- keep your focus on your out memories while the replica is mad
- Spend a day on seal production with the spider summoner
- Make 10 explosive seals and 10 extra dimensional seals to give to all the entry level ninja that are instructed by the clan
- Invite all 12 of them to a party that involves dice, chance and fun
- let them have the seals and spend some time to discover who they are
