Oh dear. Everyone, be careful and read the update before you post!
Just to be sure, I take it the XP loss only applies to posts made after this one, yes? I don't dare check how many times we've used that letter across the entire thread, but it's probably sufficient to dropkick Hazou's XP totals back to the Academy.Seal failure!
Severity = 78
Type = 4
Hazō's brain is infested with a small amount of the Out. It has effects on his awareness of reality and his ability to think. The effect will wear off when the next-but-one chapter drops, BUT:
Hazō is in zero G mode! No, that doesn't mean he's floating, it means that he loses 1 XP for every use of the seventh letter that appears in a post in this thread. We will overlook uses of the forbidden letter in QM posts and in what we decide are troll posts. This effect will wear off when the second-next chapter (i.e. the one scheduled for Thursday December 1) is posted.
This 'seal failure' is a fun activity that the QMs are extending the opportunity for you to play with us. You can treat it as an annoyance or you can play beside us. If you find it an annoyance, please don't ruin it for those who enjoy it.
I'd assume for the sake of play that si-natures don't need to be chan-ed as that is just annoyin-Do the user specific post postscripts count? Mine is blank, but Faflec's has many letters, some of which are forbidden. What about link urls?
You can, but it's limited, both in uses and it needs to be approved, etc.
The amount of forbiden leters that are on the tread since its inception by users that are not with us anymore, would be sufficient to reset mr warcrimes XP to pre academy days if that is the case.Just to be sure, I take it the XP loss only applies to posts made after this one, yes? Maybe if we spam the FORBIDDEN LETTER sufficiently we can break free of the Illusion Technique the Mist Academy put us under to test our loyalty!The amount of forbiden leters that are on the tread since its inception by users that are not with us anymore, would be sufficient to reset mr warcrimes XP to pre academy days if that is the case.
They did say "troll posts" would not be counted, so is likely fine as far as XP "is concerned", but im pretty sure SV have a rule that penalizes that behevior.Maybe if we spam the FORBIDDEN LETTER sufficiently we can break free of the Illusion Technique the Mist Academy put us under to test our loyalty!
[this is a joke, please do not spam the FORBIDDEN LETTER]
Well, there are several ways to read that sentence. Did Hazō find a... relic?
Finally someone who UNDERSTANDS IT. ("It" means Project: Omnicule)So you have somewhere between [8] and infinite [paramours] [who run] around
Not yet you can't. We work on it. A man who doesn't UNDERSTAND IT."Exc-c-cuse me," Harumitsu said. "Isn't it [bad] t-to [datz] so many women? You can't marry th-them all."
Lavabender, metamorphic power, or stone seals by chakra ways/shifts in the stone in another dimension? All well.There was no part of the stone that was beyond his control. So why did the technique's chakra feedback make him feel like his chakra [permeated] the stone in a way he couldn't yet feel, much less control?
I swear to Tobirama's abysmal fashion sense, if there was a secret code to the dance at all, and it was for Hazō to decode at all, and it was in the rhythm rather than in the pattern (such as morse)..."That's the pattern of my footsteps, from when I danced with Ami,"
There's a solution to the tune of "Tower-mandated paid intellectual property and licence to teach with veto from the KEI" but that will have its own issues. There may even be ways to enforce this with personal seals (think ROOT loose-lips seals in canon) but that's a bit dark side of the force if you ask me. (V: I did SAY that I [represented Belkar]'s viewpoint in this.)KEI has no more power over our chūnin than the [disliked clan] do, which means that any ninja that shared ninjutsu with our adoptees now have to deal with those ninjutsu [that are no more a] secret. It's not just that our chūnin can freely teach it to others in the clan. The ninjutsu are fully ours now – we could trade them to other clans, sell them to the Tower, or [whatever] else we wanted. Worse, if the ninja that [did a teach to] our adoptees their ninjutsu died before [they did a teach with] it to anyone else, the ninjutsu could end up our clan secret. Sure, the teacher's dead and [rots] either way, but it's a [bad] insult to [all that] the KEI stands for if the cooperation and sacrifices of their members ends up [an asset to] clan coffers.
To be a waterbender is incredible.Somehow, despite the sounds Hazō had half-[believed] he'd heard, her eyes were dry. He looked down and noted a [...] wet patch on his shirt.
Please please for the love of all that is Jashin, avoid the forbidden letter (between F and H in the alphabet)! I know you didn't see the post where we were warned before you posted this, but please make sure you are aware of the restrictions we are currently under before you post any further.Well, there are several ways to read that sentence. Did Hazō find a... relic?
Finally someone who GETS IT. ("It" being Project: Omnicule)
Not yet you can't. We're working on it. A man who doesn't GET IT.
Lavabending, metamorphic power, or stone sealing by arranging chakra highways/changing the stone in another dimension? All good.

Long-term, if nothing is done, the KEI will essentially be a non-voting clan politically, except its best members get bought out, and its secrets sold, all the time. If they start parcelling out their secrets, everyone loses. If they don't, only they lose. Also, there's the ever-increasing risk of a radical betraying their adoptive clan and distributing clan secrets to the KEI. Which would be a huge landmine. Of course, there's the matter of the Kei clan and its obvious ties to KEI. To prevent that eventual explosion, the Tower should probably step in and do something that values the KEI for its jutsu production. To prevent jutsu poaching, encourage selling the jutsu they create except at a super high cost, which would be Tower-enforced?
Being a waterbender is incredible.
Generally, you can assume good faith on the part of the QMs.Does this include quotations?? IE if I quote your post, does it count the FORBIDDEN LETTER for XP losses?
Edit: What about Discord?
Well that's a relief, at least.Generally, you can assume good faith on the part of the QMs.
It does not include quotations. It does not include Discord. It does not include usernames.
It DOES include unicode or etc characters that look like the seventh letter but are not. "Chi-instead-of-X" is for tricking machines, not people.
