[X] Rocks Fall, Enemies Die

Time for some extreme Rock, Paper, Scissor.
Also the elite seems familiar but it's on the tip of my tongue.

Part of it just has been a lack of time on my part, but I'm enjoying the way things are going.

I'm also plotting.

[X] Rocks Fall, Enemies Die
- grab hold of the largest piece of debris you can find, and use your uncharged energy whip like a slig. Try to take off the graffiti bot's head. If nothing else, big rock will hopefully distract so you can maneuver out of firing line of the nadesico

What you have so far seems good, but what will everyone else do? If you don't clarify and this plan wins, I'm going to assume it'll be some variation of Divide and Conquer.

Right now there's a tie between Divide and Conquer and Rocks Fall, Enemies die. People, please vote, I know there's more than 6 of you watching this thread, and I don't want to have to flip a coin to decide the battle plan.

March UE 0083
Just past orbit of the moon

You feel a sense of dread as the Unknowns turn as one to stare at you. The Graffiti Robot in particular seems to be looking at you with pure hatred in its eyes, even though you can barely see it from where you are. The Graffiti Robot raises its arm, and all of the Unknowns start moving toward you. An idea comes to your mind, a terrible idea thought up in a moment of panic, but an idea nonetheless. First, you contact the Nadesico.

"Captain Misumaru, is the Gravity Blast ready to fire again?" You ask Yurika.
"It's ready to fire at any time. What did you have in mind?" Yurika responds with uncharacteristic seriousness.
"I'm about try something dumb. Be ready to fire when I give the signal. Jeeg Team, Build Angels, scatter immediately!"

You immediately spring into action, powering down the Energy Whip. You cast your eyes about for the largest piece of debris you can find, and settle on a piece around the same size as Jeeg. You wrap the Energy Whip around it in an improvised sling before winding up and chucking the piece of debris at the head of the Graffiti Robot.

Result: Minor damage to Graffiti Robot, you now know it has some kind of barrier

The piece of debris sails through the void. You find it odd that none of the Unknowns are making a move to destroy it. To your dismay, you find out why a few seconds later. Just as it looks like the debris will take off the Graffiti Robot's head, it collides with an off-white energy barrier of some kind. As the debris breaks apart on impact, it looks like a wasted effort, but the pilot of the Graffiti Robot evidently miscalculated something, and the barrier falters for a split second, allowing a small chunk around the size of Mobile Suit's arm to get through and strike it in the right eye. When the dust clears, you see a small gouge in the right eye of the Graffiti Robot, but no other visible damage. You gun your thrusters and go straight up.

"Captain Misumaru, fire now!" You urge Yurika.
"Roger, fire Gravity Blast, danger close!" Yurika orders.

The Graffiti Robot and 'Big Horn' Super Robots evidently notice that the Nadesico has gotten closer, as they immediately hard burn to follow you. The 'Fish Bowl' mechs notice their superiors hauling ass and move to follow as well, although a pair of them are too slow to react and are subsequently destroyed by the Gravity Blast. Unfortunately, that's the only damage the Gravity Blast managed to inflict, all of the other Unknowns managed to cleanly escape the area of effect and are now converging on you. Thankfully, you're not alone.

The Build Angels are first to strike, peppering a Fish Bowl mech with autocannon rounds and missiles. It doesn't immediately destroy the enemy mech, but the damage disorients it enough to cause it crash headlong into a chunk of debris, taking it out of the fight in a detonation of black and green plasma. Another Fish Bowl attempts to fire one the Build Angels in retaliation, but they manage to scatter before unfurling enormous rings on the back of their jets, firing green beams at the enemy machine and carving it to pieces.

Ryoko's team is next to spring into action, with Hikaru emptying a magazine at the closest Fish Bowl, hitting something vital and causing it to go up in flames. Izumi charges at another before feinting and catching it in a Distortion Field ramming attack, tearing the enemy machine in half. Ryoko opts to simply pummel the remaining Fish Bowl mechs with her Aestivalis' knuckle dusters, and despite the size difference is able to punch one full of holes while tricking the other into flying directly into a pair of missiles that Tsubaki fired from Big Shooter, causing it to go up in flames. With no smaller targets left, Gai and Akito opt to go for one of the Big Horn Super Robots.

"Akito, follow me and match my timing!" Gai yells.
"Got it!" Akito says.

The pair of Aestivalis rocket forward, Distortion Fields at full power. The Big Horn doesn't realize it's being targeted until the two Aestivalis are too close for it to try and dodge.

"Eat this, evildoer, the fists of Justice!" Gai yells. "Double.."
"Gekigan..." Akito joins in.
"FLARE!" The two of them let out their battle cry.

The Big Horn clumsily attempts to swat away the two of them, but is too slow. The pair of Aestivalis barrel into it side by side, tearing a large gash across its torso. Kenji sees an opportunity.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiOpYJuTles

"Time to die, whoever the hell you are! Spin Storm!" Kenji yells. Jeeg flexes its arms before firing a black and red energy beam from its torso at the damaged Big Horn. With the damage it's taken, the Big Horn is unable to dodge in time, and as a result the Spin Storm is able to core the torso, causing the entire unit to explode.

Unfortunately, you have no time to admire the handiwork of your teammates, as the Graffiti Robot and remaining Big Horn close in to engage you in combat. The Big Horn rushes at you before unfolding an oversized machete from its wrist. You dodge the first swing before blocking the second with the gauntlet on the Rose's left arm. As you struggle against the Big Horn, the only warning you get that the Graffiti Robot is attacking you is a flash of dark green in the corner of your eye. You kick the Big Horn away and are barely able to avoid getting cored by a wrist mounted energy blade. Even so, the Rose takes a nasty hit to the armor plating on the left shoulder, and though you can still move that arm, you're certain another hit like that will cut it off. You snarl before turning to the Graffiti Robot.

"Nina, raise the Diffusion Crystal Drive's output to maximum!" You bark out.
"Got it, raising Diffusion Crystal Drive output to maximum!" Nina confirms.
"Eat this you bastard, Domination Overdrive!"

The Rose fires a pink and black beam from its chest, causing the Graffiti Robot to be encased in translucent pink crystals. The Rose rockets forward, and the Energy Whip crackles to life in a surge of pink and red.

"On your knees!" You yell. The Rose lashes the Graffiti Robot with the Energy Whip, breaking it out of its crystalline prison but cutting it badly in the process. You lash the Graffiti Robot more before grabbing with the Energy Whip and pulling it close to you, then start stomping it with the heel of the Rose's left foot. You hurl the Graffiti Robot away, slamming it through a chunk of debris.

Unfortunately, in your fury, you forgot about the Big Horn, which grabs the Rose from behind. Nina yelps in fright and surprise as the Graffiti Robot reorients itself. It ignites a wrist mounted energy blade as it moves to impale the Rose. Unable to break free, you clasp Nina's hand in your own as you brace for the end.

Thankfully, someone up high seems to like you, as you detect an enormous Dimensional Distorion. A burst of orange plasma hits the Graffiti Robot in the face while a pink and green blur you can only assume is some kind of rocket punch slams into the Big Horn restraining you. You break free and jet back toward your allies while getting a good look at your saviors emerging from a fading portal. One of them is some kind of Gundam, with oversized red wings and a blue red and white color scheme reminiscent of the original RX-78-2. The IFF says it's a ZAFT model called the Destiny Gundam. The other is a Super Robot with a lion face on its chest, what looks like a bullet train for shoulders, drill knees, and a green jewel in its forehead. The IFF for that one says it's called GaoGaiGar. The pilot of the Destiny Gundam opens a comm line with you.

"Mira, are you alright?" A young man with black hair and red eyes wearing a ZAFT redcoat helmet greets you on the screen.
"I'm fine for the most part. Who are you, and what the hell is going on?" You ask.
"No time to explain. Cargo should be arriving...ah, there it is." The Destiny Gundam points to a pair of Dimensional Distortions you've picked up on sensors. A few seconds later, they coalesce into portals, and a single cargo container emerges from each of them. "Grab the cargo and go, we'll take care of these guys." The Destiny Gundam readies a beam rifle while GaoGaiGar assumes a fighting stance.

TACTICAL INFORMATION
-The only remaining enemies are the Graffiti Robot and a single Big Horn Super Robot
-The Graffiti Robot is moderately damaged, but still fully operational. The Big Horn is lightly damaged from GaoGaiGar's surprise attack
-There are a pair of cargo containers a fair distance away, apparently earmarked for your use. You don't know what's inside them
-A Gundam called the Destiny Gundam and a Super Robot called GaoGaiGar are assisting you
-You have no more usable spirit commands, FOCUS is going to wear off at the start of the next round of combat
-The other pilots are confused and starting to get a little exhausted, you're not sure if they're up to keep fighting except Kenji and maybe Gai

What do you do?

[ ] Cut and Run
-Do as the pilot of the Destiny Gundam advises, take the cargo that's been dropped off for you and run, it and GaoGaiGar seem like they can take on the Graffiti Robot and the remaining Big Horn.

[ ] Stay and Fight
-You appreciate the gesture, but you are quite pissed at the Graffiti Robot for almost killing you. You'll help the Destiny Gundam and GaoGaiGar while the others retrieve the cargo.

A/N: And here's the update! I apologize in advance if there seem to be jumps in quality, @afreaknamedpete updated his own quest Super Robot Wars Ø as I was writing this update, and I invested brainpower into a plan vote for that. Vote and discuss please, and as always I welcome constructive criticism! Also, I'm disappointed that there wasn't any speculation for what the transdimensional assistance would be. Please, speculate and air out your thoughts!

Frankly, we have the best robot to make sure that everyone else stays safe, naturally discounting the Braves. I cannot in any good conscious step back until everyone else is clear of the battlefield.
[x] Stay and Fight

[x] Stay and Fight

I know in my heart of hearts that the cargo is obviously important in the whole grand scheme of the bad end timeline, but screw leaving our friends from the future to fight alone. Also the boss baddie does still have an AC within reasonable roll range thanks to our bonuses, so we stand a decent chance of getting villain loot along side the save the future stuff.

Oh boy, I think I overstated the importance of the cargo. Also, keep in mind FOCUS is going to wear off, so you're losing that +2 bonus to Mira's rolls. As stated, Mira and Nina have no more spirit commands that they can use. Also, to clear up a misconception of sorts, these aren't from friends from the future so much as friends from...somewhere else.

That's mostly just how I've been referring to it myself. For whatever reason, People who were friends with Mira in their dimension/timeline/world etc, are sending this version of her information and or equipment that are useful towards increasing her odds of victory in this world.

I like to think of it as averting the Bad Future because of the Buddy Complex interlude at the end of the last fight.

[x] Stay and Fight

These other-timeline people have been helping us out so it's time to return the favor a bit. We can just provide ranged support if needs be (unless that needs to be specified in the vote).

[X] Cut and Run

Still feels we are in tutorial mode. With either week pushover enemies that die no matter what we pick, and between super bosses we can barely scratch the paint job even when we do desperate stuff.

Just past orbit of the moon

Your emotions war against each other for a few seconds before you decide to swallow your pride. You open a comm channel to the Nadesico.

"Captain, I know it's not really my place to ask, but-"
"You want us to retrieve the cargo containers and retreat right?" Yurika finishes your question for you. "No problem! Everyone, get the cargo containers the Destiny Gundam indicated into the ship and then get on board!"

The Aestivalis pilots are the first to move toward the cargo containers, followed by you and Kenji. The Build Angels and Big Shooter move into a screening formation behind you. The Graffiti Robot and the remaining Big Horn take offense at this, with the Graffiti Robot unfolding a massive cannon from its back before firing an enormous beam at you. You have no time to evade, but you don't have to, as GaoGaiGar immediately puts itself in front of you.

Result: GaoGaiGar takes no damage

GaoGaiGar raises an open palm, and an orange barrier springs to life in front of it, deflecting the beam harmlessly. The Graffiti Robot is clearly unpleased with this development, as it smashes its fists together in what looks like frustration before igniting its wrist mounted energy blades and charging headlong at GaoGaiGar. The Big Horn likewise unfolds its machete and rockets toward GaoGaiGar, but appears to have forgotten about the Destiny Gundam, which takes the opportunity to strike.

Result: Destiny Gundam takes moderate damage (3000/5000 HP), Big Horn is destroyed

The Big Horn sees the Destiny Gundam approaching at speed, and quickly shifts its target. It takes a wild swing, and, despite the pilot of the Destiny Gundam's best efforts, is caught on the flat of the blade and slammed against a piece of debris. The Destiny Gundam doesn't actually seem to be damaged, but the pilot is apparently injured by the impact, as you hear a hacking cough over the comms. Your fears that the pilot was killed are quickly assuaged when the pilot lets out a bellow of rage before taking out an unusual beam sword and activating a mechanism that causes the Destiny Gundam's wings to begin spewing pink light.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SgfOM32aQs

The Destiny Gundam seems to disappear, but you realize that it is simply moving incredibly fast. So fast, in fact, that it appears to be leaving after images. The pilot of the Big Horn seems to panic as it starts to swing blindly at the Destiny Gundam, while the Destiny Gundam fires rounds from its beam rifle at it. Most of the beam rounds deflect off the Big Horn's armor, but a few hit the joints in its shoulders, causing its swings to slow down. The Destiny Gundam then hefts its beam sword with both hands before blitzing the Big Horn with a flurry of strikes, carving an x shaped gouge on its chest. The Destiny Gundam then unfurls a long, thin cannon and fires a beam of plasma at the x shaped gouge, breaking open a large hole in the chest of the Big Horn and exposing the inner layer of its torso. The Destiny Gundam rockets forward, slamming its right hand into the hole it created, and firing what you realize is a beam cannon integrated into its palm, destroying something vital within the Big Horn. The Big Horn shakes and vibrates for a few seconds before the upper torso and arms are consumed in an explosion, although the lower torso and legs are still intact. The Destiny Gundam turns toward the brawl between GaoGaiGar and the Graffiti Robot, looking for an opening to assist the leonine Super Robot.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAg1k413GYs&t=85s

The Graffiti robot swings down at GaoGaiGar, and GaoGaiGar moves to block the strikes with its arms. Although the armor of the Super Robot appears to start heating up, there is no visible damage. The struggle continues for a few seconds before GaoGaiGar eases it arms for a split second in a feint, causing the Graffiti Robot to unexpectedly swing further down. This enables GaoGaiGar to grab the Graffiti Robot's arms by the wrists, whereupon the leonine Super Robot headbutts the Unknown. GaoGaiGar takes the opportunity to sucker punch the Graffiti Robot in the face while the latter is disoriented, followed by another punch and a haymaker before activating one of the drills on its knees and slamming it into the enemy's lower torso. The Graffiti Robot manages to push itself off GaoGaiGar in a moment of desperation, but it's clearly in bad shape. It glances to the side to see the Destiny Gundam drawing a bead on it with its plasma cannon, and seems to come to a decision. It flashes a middle finger toward GaoGaiGar before disappearing in a flash of green and white light.

At this point, you and the others have managed to push the cargo containers back toward the Nadesico. The Destiny Gundam and GaoGaiGar turn toward you and salute before being consumed in a golden orange light.

Back aboard the ship, you've managed to bring the cargo containers on board. Uribitake has eagerly cracked them open to find what appear to be spare parts for the Blühende Rose, along with several data files on how to maintain and repair the Super Robot. Uribitake notes with irritation that none of the files actually go into detail about how the Diffusion Crystal Drive works. You're just glad to be alive and that no one was killed.

As you look around the hangar, you see Lucia and Yukari come in. Yukari rushes forward and grabs Nina in a tight embrace. The two of them stay that way for a few seconds before letting go of each other. Lucia walks up to Nina and hugs her as well. Looks like the girls are close, although given what little you know of their circumstances you're not surprised.

You glance to the side and notice something is happening near Akito's Aestivalis. Akito is talking with Megumi, the communications officer. You can't hear what they're saying from where you are, but there is evidently affection between the two of them, as they then kiss. Then you notice Yurika standing a short distance away from them. Looks like she saw the whole thing.

Oh this isn't going to end well. Isn't the captain crazy for Akito? You think to yourself. Then you realize how messy the debrief is going to be and barley manage to keep yourself from groaning.

Kenji goes back out in Steel Jeeg to manhandle what's left of the Big Horn into the ship, and once he's back inside, the Nadesico resumes its course toward Mars.

Items of interest gained
-Wreck of Big Horn Super Robot, consisting of the lower torso and legs
-Plentiful spare parts for the Blühende Rose

After the debrief, Nina approaches you and tells you that the Destiny Gundam sent over a data file. It's unencrypted, but small.

What did the Destiny Gundam send?

[ ] A photo of a young woman with short blonde hair and amber colored eyes accompanied by a single line of text: 'My little sister will be coming over in a few months to help you and give some answers. Don't worry, unlike us, she'll stick around.'
-Receive in-character knowledge that Stella Loussier will arrive to assist you and provide intelligence. You have no idea when or where she'll arrive aside from the vague indication of 'a few months'. Not taking this option will not erase Stella from existence, but when she appears, you'll have no idea she's an ally in-character, and depending on the situation, you might have to burn favors or political capital to actually meet her.

[ ] A set of coordinates in deep space around where Jupiter will be in a few months, and a message: 'Bring engineers and all the Super Robot tech you can carry. This'll be messy.'
-Receive in-character knowledge that a presumably friendly Super Robot will emerge heavily damaged in orbit of Jupiter in the future. Like the above option, not taking this option will not erase the Super Robot in question, but you'll have more questions when the event happens.

A/N: And here's the update! Sorry it's a bit shorter, I couldn't think of much else to put in for the end of this turn. Next turn won't have combat, but you'll have plenty of opportunities to socialize with the other people on the Nadesico! Vote, discuss, and speculate please! And as always, I welcome constructive criticism.

I think we should go for Stella because providing answers to the rest of the crew could help us build social links for whatever our team grows to become.

but I think I'm going to go with
[X] A set of coordinates in deep space around where Jupiter will be in a few months, and a message: 'Bring engineers and all the Super Robot tech you can carry. This'll be messy.'

I'd rather have warning for the damage rather than finding a damaged ship and patching with whatever we have on hand

I recall Stella has a few screws loose. Really easy to mistake ally for enemy here.
