The Empty Crusade (Horus Heresy)

If people want to start a war between Ferrus and Pert, it might be a good time to do it now. Civil wars tend to be rather violent when it is massive affairs and others are involved. On the other hand, this could set the Imperium back.

Let's get this crazy train a rollin!!

[x] [Ferrus] A Honed Blade
[x] [Ferrus] The Ash World
[x] [Ferrus] Quenching
[x] [Perturabo] Sons beyond Blood
[x] [Magnus] Ferrus

Well that went as well as expected, the schism of the Tenth will be a interesting event.

[X][Ferrus] A Perfect Legion
[X][Ferrus] Necrontyr
[X][Ferrus] Quenching

[X][Perturabo] Sons beyond Blood

[X][Magnus] The War

Let us see where it leads it all leads

I would not be surprised if he will be one the rest have to kill, but man i expected him to at least hold back some of his monstrous nature until he could subsume his Legion, not go off immediately.

Frankly the idea of the first real challenge of the Imperium being one of the missing Primarchs is so intresting.

People are focusing on internal strife without noticing how for the past 2 updates we have been given soft hints about strengthening the positions of our enemies.

The emperor in Canon was not stupid, he had a reason why he forced them to conquer new worlds with such manic persistence.

If we're wasting our time pacifying Ferus now, then it's likely that we'll have to fight some kind of dominion later, or some other stellar empire that could be nipped in the bud.

A bad peace is better than a good war. Especially if it's internal.

Just to make it clear Sons Beyond Blood is Perturabo making sure Ferrus doesn't get the Tenth Legion as it stands. While Perturabo's Ferrus option is the more direct face punch to the other Primarch.

Here is the problem, we haven't seen any major conflict flash-points appearing in this game. Most of the game is focused on the Primarchs and their new starting zones because that is generally what most of the player base is currently here for.

Let's try this from a different perspective. @Planetary Tennis If we pick one of the options for Pert or Magnus to focus on the greater war, will we get a war turn to represent this shift in focus?

Is it possible for him to take more Organicist or Vogelist Philosophy if he take shapers option or encounter custodes? Does mind realm option open up him to soul and warp? I mean Necrons main goal is to recover their soul and biological body so why being organic such a disappointment to him?

Does Magnus's ferrus option allow him to reach out to him?

okay so we cant start a fight with ferrus atm, cause the Krave, orks of ulinor, rangdan and hrud are out their and who knows how much stronger they are getting (especially the krave and orks who both get stronger as time goes on)

War turns will generally appear whenever a challenging conflict arises. The focus on the greater war generally means that Pert of Magnus or Ferrus are more active in the crusade which doesn't always mean more of a war turn but could leave you with some war options.

I will say a war arc is coming because after Medusa the next major event isn't another Primarch but rather the Wheel of Fire Campaign against the second biggest Ork Waagh running around right now. The one that in the otl had killed a third of the Space Wolves.

Mind realm is specifically looking into the warp. Ferrus doesn't see being organic as a disappointment rather he wishes to be perfect and sees that flesh and machine both contribute to perfection. He hates weakness, but doesn't believe that the flesh is weak.

You can definitely try to fight Ferrus just every option will have repercussions going on.

Oh my...i am tempted to have Ferrus be the one to take the brunt of that, but i'd rather not have him gain glory in the minds of the people. But it will be nice to see how the Four Prmarchs work with that as it seems none are a pure frontline fighter Legion, but it might be good to distinguish one of the non Primarch led Legions, maybe the 2nd or 11th just to give them some character.

At this point, if I had to choose a Primarch to do war stuff, it'd be Magnus. Giving Pert the rest of the Iron Hands isn't a bad option for gaining significant military power, which is still good for the Imperium.

Indeed, that coupled with Ferrus doing his own Marines of Necron and Imperial Methods, should even out. Don't think Ferrus will care about his "Sons" given the route of the votes. Can't say i've ever seen a Legion so detached from their Primarch that they remained under the command of another.

Yet another interesting change this Timeline has created that i am interested to see how it goes.

I think I'll have Magnus switch to war on my vote, then. It doesn't matter if it wins or not, but I would like to see the Kraken cracking some skulls.

And with Pert, I do like the idea that he becomes the Legions Uncle for any marine that feels like they can't find a place among their own kind.

Yeah this makes sense, will do the same. I do hope we can get Magnus to talk with Malcador in the next one, Regent might have some advice for Magnus given how Magnus seems to be taking Malcador's place to Gilliaman's Emporor, while Malcador continues to run Terra.

I'll switch my vote too, let Ferrus have his secret world of suffering.

For now at least, the Imperium needs some strengthening before we can deal with him.
Kinda why I'm voting for Perty to get as many legionaries under his skirt as possible here, like a big metal goose, because the new guy on the block not only beats his kids but says "You'll thank me for this later in life".

Indeed, and it's not like it will effect the war, the new guy can make his own and the tenth work well with the fourth.

God there will be two Tenth Legions, the Iron Shields and the "Perfect" Legion.
