Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

[X] Try to find local records of the 1953 shut down of Pathway Pharmaceuticals

If we want newspapers a better bet would be looking in the local libraries for archives. 50+ year old memories would be very unreliable.

The car was impounded by the cops, you will get an option to try and spring it once you have access to some place you can stash a stolen car, like that Undertown station (though that would come with its own complications) or one of Marcone's garages if you choose to work with him.
I'd just leave him there to enjoy his time until it expires.
Then resummon him whenever Molly buys herself a BMW or an Audi.

Of course, Lydia could just buy the car when it goes up for auction from the impound if her legal stuff goes well; 15 is the minimum age for a license in Illnois, and a used Mercedes AMG is going to be significantly cheaper than a new one. Easier to find too.
And she's probably going to need personal mobility.

Besides, if she has no trouble ganking Kattrin's jacket, grabbing her car is less of an issue.
Matched set.

You'd be surprised at how good the memories of old people can be for old things.

Remember, this would be a reporter from the 1950s. They made their living on how good their memories were; no portable minirecorders then, just your memory and notebook. And a lot of things dont get written down, whether because it was a suspicion that could not be proven, an unreliable witness, or because the editor killed the story due to other concerns.

-[X] In order, FDA records, local government property, ownership and tax records for the original Pathway Pharmaceuticals and the property it was based on, and the local newspaper.
-[X]HMP relevant computer systems if possible to establish Cyberdevil access
-[X]STUNT: "So. Pathway Pharmaceuticals." You try, and fail, to steal one of your dad's snacks. "There's an FDA office thirty minutes from Cleveland that we could visit and ask why it was closed. We could also go to the local city office and ask for public records dating back to 1953." Lydia makes a face at the last sentence, and you nod. "Yeah. Local govt offices can be slow. Orrr.....local paper. Its been 53 years, so any reporter from that time would be in their 70s. And probably retired. But they would have personal knowledge. Whats it going to be first Dad?"
-[X] Call Harry. Ask who the local Warden is. Contact them. After checking that they are not being paid off with Clippy.
[X] Make an appointment to tour the facilities. You don't necessarily need an excuse for that, but if they want an explanation you're looking into it for a friend. That the friend is God is irrelevant.

It was four months until the lottery where we can make many millions for our future endeavors right?

Also since we are likely to choose advanced social and modern tech for our hell. One of the demons we take out we can totally make our financial manager when it matters that way demons really can be influence the financial world.

Speaking of our future lottery winnings, we already have a potential source for a trustworthy lawyer and possibly a financial manager. Arawn setup contingencies to help Lydia become emancipated and give her access to his resources, so she should be able to connect us with those same people.

They're likely expensive, but discretion and competence is worth quite a bit, IMO.

Also almost definitely someone in the know. Though given their almost definitely in the know they might not merely work for money which isn't a deal breaker also possibly non human.

I at least want it for focuses of the crown, to locate Katrina's hidden stashes of emergency funds, treasures, magical artifacts and blackmail on her fellow monsters she almost certainly had.

Actually speaking of the crown @DragonParadox can we make a list of focuses and questions Molly would ask on her spare time so that we can make more use of the crown outside of times where we need to save essence? A.K.A adventures like we are having right now also you know we don't have the time to ask dozens of questions during play by play quest time.

I think it might be worth spending some questions on otherwise useless focal points here. We don't care about the contents of a shell company, not really, just how it connects.

Asking the crown who the ultimate beneficiaries of the half moon shell company are, or how the entities said shell is intertwined with interact with the supernatural, would be a great starting point.

We could also use one company to ask for the name of the person who knows the most about what's going on here. Then either manually follow up, or ask "what does [insert name here] know about the activities [Unused shell company] is connected to?".
Possibly rephrased to make the primary focus of the sentence the company do that we don't burn the question for the actual person, or run into issues related to not having them present in the scene.

Something like: "What is known of the operations [X Company] is involved in to [Y Person]?" Who we already know is aware of the whole story.

Other fun games to play here if we want to be a vicious little shit and are patient enough to do this manually: ask for the credentials to their accounts.

Shell companies are meant to disguise ownership. If we cut in at the right level we could shuffle things around and simply walk off with the money and legal support structures for their companies without anyone being able to prove it was us, or that the ownership change wasn't legitimate from the outside.

Once we own the place we can simply order reports from the mundane side of things, and play ransomware games with the supernatural end.

If a knight is involved here then the situation is probably screwed enough that we won't let them continue operating, but they don't know that. We can threaten to walk off with their money and blow the cover on their physical operations wide open on our way out the door if they don't cut us in, which includes giving a full accounting of what's up. It'd be stupid if we planned to be involved long term, but since we're leaving it doesn't matter.

Do it all from a motel miles away from Cleveland with good Wi-Fi and off site cyber devil relays using standard cybersecurity practices. No one hears our real voice or sees our face unless we're planning to save or kill them.

@DragonParadox , I have a few questions about mechanic, if you do not mind.
1) How do we restore our temporal Willpower?
2) Does "once per story" in charms description means "once per quest" or "once per arc"?
3) Can we remove our Nightmare drawback?

I am not DP, but I shall answer with what I know.

1) Sleeping or doing things which defend an intimacy. The 2nd is rather hard to do, we managed it once by freeing Dresden from prison
2) I think it was treated as once per arc so far
3) I believe so, both XP costs and training a specific path from the monk were discussed.

Sure, just keep in mind it does cost 1 Essence to cast it

What @LightLan said, getting rid of the Nightmares cost 6 XP from what I recalled since it got you 2 Freebie points at character creation.

Well yeah I assume there will eventually be entire months of time in which we don't spend any essence ourself simply cause we don't play out those days. So Molly spending essence on random questions with focuses when we aren't playing her makes sense.
