Listen, I know how he is convient, and would be useful, but he is also just the flat out worst person I have seen in a CN show!

In essence
A) there are no known aliens to work with as things stand.
B) all the aliens we know also happen to be our Enemies at best and actual monsters at the worst. There might be handfuls of aliens here for good reason or whatever but they're the rarity compared to Invaders, Monsters carrying out attacks for seemingly no reason, warlords waging there wars here, and regular criminal scum that are stealing and taking advantage of near everything they can.
C) it's our news station, we pay them, and we are actively evil, PR not withstanding.
D) Father is already biased, anti-children may not be as snappishly named as anti-alien but it's already there).
E) We can just change the message when it no longer suits our purposes. We are actively anti-alien right now but we might not need to be in the future. But in the future it'll still be our news station who's message we can change as our needs change.

No idea, but I will note that Weekly World News is a real-life publication, a sadly-defund absurdist/parody supermarket tabloid, known for publishing deeply weird, tongue-in-cheek 'news' about bizarre 'science', astrology, Atlantis, Bigfoot, aliens, Elvis, vampires, the Loch Ness Monster etc. While I doubt that's the connection, I would find it funny if, given the weirdness that is the CNVV setting, it's the same Weekly World News. It just happens that, in this world of aliens, gods, and monsters, they're the most sensible publication around!
