Betwixt and Between (Magical Curio Shop Quest)

Words = Soft Power Enforcement.
But Crafting is what is used to turn Item of Potential into Wonderitem. Which we need to sell to advanced with the shop. And realmwalker sounds really helpful if we want to do something that isn't inside the shop. (Like adventures to find new items of potential, or recovering lost Wonderitems)

Is it?
Love/hate sounds like what we get if we get the mirror being to somewhat like us.

Or we put a cost over the mirror and tell the demon it has a choice with two options:
  • Be nice and we talk with it to help with the boredom
  • Be rude and be left alone in the dark. We have nothing to loose by ignoring it for the Rest of our life.
I do admire you at least entertaining the best frenemies scheme after the initial

"Let's threaten it with an lifetime of isolation if it doesn't be nice."

Well, by nice i was thinking more about "don't verbally abuse us non stop".

And we might need to use such a threat so it doesn't go for 24/7 insults whenever it sees us.
And if the threat works then we have a mirror being that doesn't particular like us but will actually talk to us while having a mind of its own.

With word magic we'd probably find the words to controll it, meaning it loses the "having a mind of its own" thing. (What it seems like prior owner used it like)

Magic of Words my buddies, my pals, we'll make the mirror demon only be able to pay us compliments about how much of a boss bitch we are every morning we wake up
This would just be magic slavery without frenemy shenanigans.

It looked down at its long white nails, inspecting them as if for flaws, and "I don't think you even know the first word of the spells and commands that move me." It stood there waiting, a smug grin on its face.
"said"?
The Raven Feathered Band - Created by Shopkeeper Bloyse
Current Status: Lost
Current Location: The Borderlands
This band allows the wearer to turn into a black raven at will. The user will remember they were a human.
That's a fun little item. You look at the second part of the description, and go, "Wait! Shouldn't that be taken for granted? What use is an item that turns you into a bird and has you lose all higher cognitive functions? Must be the sort of weird charm that specifies all details and conditions in fine print."

...and then you notice it doesn't say anything about turning back. :D

[x] Magic of Intent

Guessing one's intentions is indispensable to a shopkeeper. Plus, that way lies domesticating mirrors. Probably.

Look, I am a simple man. I see the option to barter and bargain and play word games with creatures of grand and unknowable power, I vote for it.

So the mirror is a prison. And the prisoner isn't particularly smart, at least not when it comes to social interaction.
Unfortunately, if I understand correctly, the prisoner is also now free to verbally harass Mahogany at will, and they're in the only bedroom in the structure.

So they're an inconveniently placed stupid person.

Perhaps not.
So we can either continue sleeping in the kitchen or try burying it in enough blankets to muffle the occupant.

No problem. This is just a reminder that I do take task suggestions. I have things that unlock as you work and explore but I am always willing for the thread to make suggestions. Don't worry about the difficulty and the numbers
