The Dragon Ascendant: NO SV: Welcome To Another Viserys Targaryen Quest (A Ck2 Quest)

[X] A Royal Progress: A grand tour of the realm hasn't been done by a Targaryen in almost 200 years. You would tour the Seven Kingdoms over the course of the year, holding court in various locales as you went. Most of the Small Council would remain in King's Landing to perform their tasks.

[X] Plan King Who Cared

A reminder that you do not need to take a Royal progress or special action that will just lead to a mini turn

A very long one with lots of stuff but not a mini turn.

Quest on hiatus again, I'm going to try again when things aren't so difficult in my life right now.

Well it seems we have a reunion of QM's.

Cyber said he would help out on this quest now with some of the updates.

  • [X] A Royal Progress: A grand tour of the realm hasn't been done by a Targaryen in almost 200 years. You would tour the Seven Kingdoms over the course of the year, holding court in various locales as you went. Most of the Small Council would remain in King's Landing to perform their tasks.
    [X] Plan King Who Cared
--[X]Hold Court: You have quite a list of your proclamations to make public to the Lord's of the Realm, and they have their own Greviences that they need to be Aired. It is high time to hold a High Court and make the next coming years known, and hopefully, bearable to the Lord's and Ladies of the Realm DC:55 Reward: You let the Realm know your Objectives, and judge their reactions. (5,000 Dr)
--[X] Befriending the Banners: The Crownlands are unique among the kingdoms, in that they answer directly to you. Although these lords can be eccentric, they are yours, and you want them loyal. You'll host a series of feasts and worth through inviting them all, to listen to their concerns and assure them of your goodwill. DC 45. Reward: improved relations, information. (30,000 Dr)
--[X]The Watchers of the Sea: There have been reports. Troubling reports that the long-standing slave Trade that had once revved Westeros shores are making a return in force, for the first time in three hundred years. Hundreds of Ships are prowling, waiting to take cargo away from your lands, and back to Slavers bay, or worse, to the warring nations of Essos. Lord Stannis has requested a great budget increase, to allow the ships to patrol the narrow sea, and to stop any ship flying Slaver colors. DC: 65 Reward: You begin a campaign of Sea Born protection across the Narrow Sea Coastline, to protect your people and your property.
--[X] A New City: King's Landing is overcrowded; anyone can see that. About the only thing that can be done at this point is to organize the settlement of a new district. This is going to be a massive and years-long project. DC 40. Reward: Complete the planning stage for the new district. (5,000 Dr)
--[X]The Dragon's of the East: You have two children out in Volantis that are Slaves in all but name. Perhaps you can show retrive them, and handle the situation that may come. You do not believe in anything… but your blood will never be slaves. DC: ??? (Dr 10,000)
--[X]The White Wolf: Jon Snow… He is your brothers son. Perhaps… You wihs to see just how much of your brother there is in him. Reward: You meet Jon Snow, and realise that the apple does not fall from the tree
--[X] Develop Spy Network (Region): Set your Master of Whispers to finding informants. You want to know what your lords are trying to keep hidden. DC 70. Reward: get additional insights along with the standard rumors that everyone hears. (25,000 Dr) (Volantis)
--[X] The Higher Mysteries: Magic exists in this world. Your dragons are proof of it. Your dreams are proof of it. Seven Hells, whatever nightmarish things Euron Greyjoy got up to would also qualify. But it is unknown to you. This is where your request to the Citadel regarding the new Grand Maester comes in. DC 55. Reward: learn about magic, ??? (5,000 Dr)
--[X]Silence Lay Steadily Against the Wood and Stone: You know hardly anything about Summerhall, one of the darkest marks in your family's long and checkered history in Westeros. Your brother went there often, but spoke nothing of it; your father wouldn't hear the name in his presence; your mother wept at the very thought of it. Perhaps an impartial third party, an observer like the Grand Maester, can give you the salient details – what the buildup was, what if anything went wrong, anything you don't know but should. DC 75. Reward: information about Summerhall, ??? (7,500 Dr)
--[X]A Good Sheperd: You have heard Rumors of two Septons in the Riverlands, one a wandering Septon who knows the Seven Pointed Star by Memory, who wanders the trail of the Riverlands trying to help any that need it. He is known as Meribald, and he is the man who heals Broken men. DC: 50 Reward: You meet Septon Meribald, and see why this man is a healer of Broken men.
--[X] Sharper than the Sharpies: You may not officially run your merchant enterprise anymore, but the intrigues involved are what you truly excel at, and if you're honest with yourself, you sometimes miss the fun of it. Allows you to take on an additional Intrigue task.
--[X] The Bonds Between Us: You have a core group of people in your inner circle, but it's only a few. And a king certainly can't ignore the members of his court. (Specify a person, Daenerys and Aegon). Reward: strengthen relationships, may improve stats or gain new traits. (Free)
--[X] A Dragon in Black: You do wish to write to Maester Aemon, perhaps he can be a valuable insight into what he believes is good for the realm? Reward: Contact with Maester Aemon Targaryen, ??? (Free)
--[X] Shadows of the Past: For good or ill, the most powerful and consequential of Targaryen women have always had martial skills. To advance her in this arena, you'll have Dany train with Ser Bonifer. Martial, DC 55. Reward: increase Martial, gain combat-related traits. (Free)
--[X] Along the Nascent Echo: Summerhall sits long ruined, a scar on the Stormlands and a sobering reminder of your house's fragility and fallibility. Aegon has some curiosity about the place, given his father's connection to it, and he's dreamed of visiting it sometime. Reward: ??? (2,500 Dr)
--[X] Port of Call: A trading company would be sort of silly without having operations of some kind in as many major port cities as possible, and the Consortium is not silly. Garret will begin to expand from Lys and Braavos, working to get a foothold in various port cities. Intrigue/Diplomacy, DC & cost varies by port (Braavos, Lys, Volantis)
--[X] Restoration Reformations: Ser Jaime has gotten himself Opinions as pertain to the Kingsguard, and you haven't gotten this far by not trusting his judgment. He would like your permission (and input, in some cases) to implement some changes in the Kingsguard. Diplomacy & Martial, the difficulty varies. Reward: Begin instituting some reforms on the Kingsguard.
--[X]The Wild Wolf Come again: So, Arya Stark has been following the young Sand Snakes around like a little puppy. Why is that? DC: 15 Reward: You see what is the deal with Arya Stark?
--[X] The Prince and the Sun: Doran Martell, your GoodFather, wishes to sail North, to see his grandson, and hopefully, speak to you about the future, and the Family that you may wish to have. DC: 10 Reward: You and Doran meet again, at long last, and you feel as though, despite his wish for a truly fortuitous meeting, something bothers him. Especially with his lady wife not accompanying him.
--[X]The Streets of Justice: Bywater and his boys are going to be cleaning up the Streets, one street at a time. They are going to be out in force. DC 60 Reward: The City Watch begin to strike back at the Gang Violence in the city, and there will be blood.
--[X] The Justice League: Sandor will work with the City Watch to Clean up the Streets of King's Landing. (Add a +10 to all of Bywater's Action.)
    [X] Plan: Kings Might

-[x]The Civil War of the Citadel (The Dreamers): In one corner, of the great mess and cluster fck that is the Citidel starting to tear itself apart, are the dreamers. Men who believe that the citadel has long stayed stagnant. DC: ??? Reward: You make contact with the Dreamers.
-[x]The Civil War of the Citadel (The Traditionalists): On the other hand of the madness, is the Hightower traditionalists, ones who wish to keep to their sacred oaths and obligations to the letter and ask that you set a good example for the Dreamers, if only for the Sanity of the Relm itself that depends on them. DC: ??? Reward: You make contact with the Traditionlists.
-[x]The Youngest Dragon: You have not been able to spend a great deal of time with Daeron as you wanted to. You want to spend time with your son. And be the man, the father… you wished you had. DC: 0 Reward; You are the Father to a son you never want to lose.
-[x]Seeking Help (Family) You are in dire need of help. Perhaps family, that of your family and yours… You wanted the nightmares to be over. Hopefully, with their support, you can overcome it. DC: ??? Reward: You sit down with your family, and you try to realize that the life you led was over. You are not alone.
-[x]Bath in Fire: Fire cannot burn a Dragon. You cannot be burned. You want to see just how true that is? DC:??? Reward: You touch fire and see what is within. Your Father was right. Fire could not kill a Dragon.
-[x] Shadows of the Past: For good or ill, the most powerful and consequential of Targaryen women have always had martial skills. To advance her in this arena, you'll have Dany train with Ser Bonifer. Martial, DC 55. Reward: increase Martial, gain combat-related traits. (Free)
-[x] The Shape of Dreams: Many Targaryens across history have been touched by some kind of influence beyond the mortal coil – some dream of the future or the past, some discover things in the present beyond their ken, some speak with the dead … Aegon wonders, in his few quiet moments, if he has inherited something of this from his father. Willpower, DC 60. Reward: increase Willpower, may gain related traits. (Free)
-[x] Settling Accounts: Once upon a time, you had to flee your home in Braavos, thanks to the amorality of the servant's Ser Willem Darry had hired. You are very much now in a position to reclaim what was lost (as can be, anyhow) and to have Garret exact some petty revenge. It would be unbecoming for a King of Westeros to stoop so low, but hey – that's what Tigaros is for. Intrigue, DC 35. Reward: reclaimed items lost from Ser Willem's home, sweet sweet vengeance, ??? (5,000 Dr)

-[x] A Learned Lady: Your Queen is even more well-read than you, and she might be the only person in the Red Keep able to keep pace with the Grand Maester. She has impressed him more than once, and he seems to possess none of his order's usual disdain for women's intellect. (Allows you to take on an additional Learning Project) ( The Higher Mysteries)
-[x]A Signal: A Dragon signal that flys in the sky and strikes fear into the Hearts of the Criminal underbelly? That is not practical. How the Hells did this get approved? Reward: You find out why Jacelyn is wasting Kingdom Money on projects to… Lower Crime?

Oh and I updated the Front page, and we paid off the entire debt to the Lannisters.

So more money, and our Credit rating has improved, significantly.

Now if only we could deal with the stagnation of the Westerosi economy.

A little taste of the dice-rolling madness that was this turn.

Note: Arianne rolled a nat 100, and Teyne rolled a 98
--------------------------------------------
You were tired. The energy that the two of them had when working together to pleasure you in foreplay, and in the event of…

Well, you were going, to be honest with yourself, they fucked the life out of you. You were out of shape, Kinglyness had really caused you to let go on matters of strength and endurance.

You may have remained in shape for battle, but you did not remain in shape for six rounds with your wife, and her cousin.

By the Gods, it was humiliating.

Reward:

Arianne and Teyne are now Pregnant.

Teyne was absolutely blown away by your prowess in bed and has said "I will sleep with no other man, for no other man can match you."

Arianne has complained a little about you not being the sex god you were in Volantis. It was embarrassing to say the least.

You had a magical night of sex though, and it was loud enough for the entire Red Keep to hear you.
----------------------------------------

Yeah... So Viserys lives up to being a sex god to his wife.

While I'm really stoked to secure to bloodline and all that I'm a little worried some of our kids might pull a Hapsburg and screw up what we're trying to fix. I just don't to deal with that while fighting dickless the dragon lord and his skin quilt friends from sunset land.

There was Bealor the blessed, now there will be Viserys the Chad
Baelor lost a war.

We win them with our Chad energy.

Also: Viserys Epitath will be something you vote on after the Progress, if you go on one.

One of the possible titles are:

The Fertile Dragon.

Not only because our loins produce tons of kids...

Westeros is making a profit, and surplus of food for its population before Winter.
While I'm really stoked to secure to bloodline and all that I'm a little worried some of our kids might pull a Hapsburg and screw up what we're trying to fix. I just don't to deal with that while fighting dickless the dragon lord and his skin quilt friends from sunset land.
Lets just say that if the kids fuck Westeros, it will be entirely your fault.

As for the Dragon Emperor that will be soon travelign east to recruit the Aztecs...

Well, let's just say that we are about to fuck his plans up.

Royally.

We win them with our Chad energy.

One of the possible titles are:

The Fertile Dragon.
The Redfield Targaryen Lineage must continue. So help us, the children will have the power to punch boulders.

I can't wait to see what those rolls have in store for us.

While very possible, we are not exactly known for our force of arms.

No really, the two duels we fought in, one was against a monster, the second we had toge bailed out by Jaime.
Viserys the Restorer
Totally possible considering we are now in the middle of restoring Westeros to its proper glory not seen since Viserys the I.
Viserys the Dragonlord
Viserys actually would not accept that name. Because a Dragonlord is an unquestioned badass who can kill entire armies entierly by himself.

He is not one of them.

Secondly, the Dragonlords owned slaves. Viserys does not.
No matter what the "Real" reason is, everyone will remember it's because we absolutely fucked.
Viserys, if he continues the trend of bedding every badass woman he meets (Something that I will leave entirely up to you, and saving Beshka and Dany, we have fucked quite a few badass women), in addition to Arianne's family planning, and if he gets multiples in one or two pregnancies (entirely possible considering magoose dice)... He'll have around 20 kids by the time Arianne has Menopause.

With around ten kids being legitimate.

Thats not including magic shenanigans and incest we may partake in if Dany is attracted to us (She's not right now, but later on when she grows up).
The Redfield Targaryen Lineage must continue. So help us, the children will have the power to punch boulders.

Well They are good, let me tell you that.

But Flying Dragons?

Oh fuck yeah.

But really though, I've done a few rolls now.

One involves Viserys very loudly, and very plainy proclaiming: "Yo, Free Cities. Guess what. If you want to trade with us... Tariffs are now going to be placed on every good that enters westeros. And you try to tariff us, you'll regret it"

Also: You think this will be a good tagline:

Viserys Targaryen now leads a Healing nation. He now must guide the ship of state, see that the newly unleashed magic of the World does not destroy his kingdom, and keep his family safe. He's done a lot before, but can this Exiled Dragon, Ascend into history?
