It's like trying to end LoR all over again. You think it's over and ending within your grasp but QM says: "Fuck you, here's another one". 10 distorted Reverb Ensembles out of 10

[X] Concentrate on defense, only attack as a way to keep him occupied, your goal is survival, don't overextend and use mostly hit and run
-[X] Distract and time stop. Any time he gets to focus on one person, time stop them out of that situation and hit him hard at range. If no gun, throw spears and swords at him. Mix up tactics, bind him with chains and ribbons. Drop bombs at his feet. Move on from one move before he gets a handle on it. Never give him a moment to get his bearings.

Roland is dangerous. I don't think I need to emphasize that. Everyone here is not enough to bring him down. The best move is drawing him away from Ai so he doesn't get any funny ideas about killing her once she's back up, and away from Hitomi and Madoka, because he'll splatter them. Hopefully we don't have anyone witch, because we are going to be tossing around magic like every life here depends on it.

I approve of this, there was a typo on bearings at the end however. Here:
Never give him a moment to get his barings.

Not like if, because every life here depends on it, we are very much in a life or death situation and I am happy you thought about adding this, I did think my plan was missing something.

Come on, Roland. I know fabric is a big deal in the City, but did you really have to jump the gun to get your hands on some abnormality snake leather? We had a really emotional moment here. Can't you at least "this is this and that is that" this?

Okay, what to do though. Any chance we can just throw a bunch of books at him and hope he starts sorting them out of pure habit? What do you mean we don't even have any books?

Whelp, in that case I guess that hope is all we've got. So, who wants to volunteer as tribute?

By which of course I mean hitting the panic button and syncronizing with Ai once she's back in the game.

Until then...

This should hopefully work.

To end on a happy note. I like the effect you did with the colors blending together. It's a nice touch.

Dammit Roland!

Titbits from the previous encounter: Mami sort of can keep up with Roland, presuming somebody is there to heal her wounds or save her from critical injuries. She is one of the people who doesn't instantly die should Roland get up close.

Another thing; Kyoko is here and has both illusions and clones. She also has ego gift of Blue Star, which makes her faster. Yuma is also.

Homura is also here and knows that Roland can parry an unreasonable amount of gunfire even at point black range (so she probably should use explosives instead.)

If you are hoping to bind him with chains or whatever, Homura could allow other people to join time stop as long as she touches them somehow. IIRC, Mami was able to hijack her timestop by tying herself to her with a ribbon in Rebellion. IDK if she is willing, though.

Wait a moment I just looked at the chapter titles:
Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression

We are fighting through the stages of Grief!

Edit: If we don't screw up the next post will probably be Acceptance

Ok, what are Roland's weaknesses? He's melee only, he's not the real Roland, and he is very vulnerable to music themed trauma. The answer is obvious...

[J] Make Sayaka witch out into Octavia

Homura is my choice for when it happens.
I get why you'd go for her from the angle of who's most likely to make it through a synchro. However, given that this mess of an act is happening in large parts because of the psychological ramifications of a prior synchro, it feels right also also factor in the relationship aspect. Which brings me to Kyoko. I probably don't have to expound on their relationship, especailly after how the last vote went, but if Mami was a valid option last time around, Kyoko can probably handle it. It helps that sticking a long range and a close range specialist together should hopefully get us a very well balanced powerhouse, which is exactly what we need right now.
Yeah. About that:
Sayaka sneers. "We don't need-" she starts, only for the Black Silence to pull a gun on her. He weaves around Mami's bullets and opens fire. Sayaka's cutlass comes up to meet the first bullet, mimicking his feat. And she catches it! The bullet ricochets off the blade and into her left shoulder. The second she misses and gets her right shoulder pierced. Then the pistol is replaced by a shotgun; Mami tries to interfere, but her shot is too weak to deflect the blast. Sayaka is too slow with her arms unresponsive. Ai is still reaching deeper into herself.
Looks like he splurged.

Or Ai doesn't get ecconomics. One of the two.

Ah, that's bad. Both for us and my reading comprehension.

The gloves link to a storage space right? Assumed he wouldn't bother with firearms but they would be useful against chaff.

Roland theoretically isn't the killiest Color but that just means he was second to a handful.

It feels a bit dirty to lean on out of character knowledge but I think Kyoko should start praying. Not as her primary action, but under her breathe.

Maybe Blue Star or One Sin will hear her? There is precedent for the latter interupting a realization.
