Until that leg is back on, Hitomi can outrun her easy :V

Tis only a flesh wound.

Is... anyone else suspicious that QB wrote Mami off entirely?

Like: she has just used up a lot of magical power fighting Ai, then lost a leg, and she didn't get the Grief Seed. Mami might actually be in trouble here. I don't think it would be enough for her to Witch out on that alone but we all know it only takes the correct comment from Kyubey to push her over the edge...

I'm pretty sure she was send on a suicide mission to make Madoka try to wish after her death, the thing is, this is the standard Kyubey M.O, there is nothing suspicious compared to normal.

Oh the nurse was actually actively abusing a patient?

She was actually, hmmm.... *enjoying the coma patient's vigor*. (So, yes, abuse, the nurse was the one undressed)

A light tap to the other girl's head leaves a gleaming petal; it takes the shape of a heart, pink in its frame and black within. The hairclip sits firmly in place, even when Hitomi reaches up to touch it. Ai smiles. "A gift, from me to you. With danger out there, maybe it will protect you."
I'm sure nothing bad will happen because of this. = )

Or heck, maybe this could protect them from a Witch's Kiss and really not be a bad thing. I wanna see Homura's internal reaction when it feels like Ai is walking into her classroom only for it to be Hitomi with some powerful drip.
She absently touches her new hairclip, smiling. "I am certain you could become great at it. So far you struck me as a hard worker."

Silence reigns afterward. Ai slumps in her seat; she has far less faith in herself. Wherever Hitomi takes it from, she is clearly wrong.
Aww, that's not true Ai! Even if you don't believe in yourself, you can believe in Hitomi who believes in you!
Both women stare at each other, but only one of them is fully dressed. The other is currently engaged with one of the coma patients. She blinks at Ai like a deer in headlights. "Wha-, who?"

A pink beam hits her square in the bare chest, splattering blood all over the comatose man.
It's noteworthy this didn't end up on the news. Either the hospital and the police are keeping it quiet, or Kuybey got rid of the body.
"Say, what happened with that anomaly you're observing?"

Kyubey's head tilts a few degrees. "No notable changes. The rate of influence increased by a fraction of a percent, not enough to affect even a toddler. Probes continue to be ineffective, regardless of method. The area in space it covers expands minutely as days pass, it appears to unfold. Do you have any further insights?"
Ten days of light.

[X] Go for Kyoko

Okay, hear me out. Ai is going to ask Kyoko to clean her gem, which is going to confuse her greatly, and it's going to be brought up that Ai doesn't have a Soul Gem or Greif Seed. Or Kyoko is going to misunderstand and think the seed is her's. I feel like she's going to be rather gobsmacked, and I wanna see it.

The anomaly is dangerous! It could be a portal up that open up the hellhole that is Ruina!

Oh the nurse was actually actively abusing a patient? That's actually a relief since I initially misread it as just the coma patient being undressed vs the nurse and was afraid Ai killed some lady giving someone a sponge bath.

I had to reread that part to get that the nurse was raping the comatose victim.

Still I find the reaction to be too much. It fits since the MC isn't really human but no hesitation.

I think its a double standard that I don't think its that bad but if the genders were reverse I would think murder is a perfectly valid reaction

Silence reigns afterward. Ai slumps in her seat; she has far less faith in herself. Wherever Hitomi takes it from, she is clearly wrong. The churning of tightly bound anger in Ai's gut attests to that. Not all is her own, some is Roland's, but the moment it is unleashed people will die. She just knows it.
So Ai... is aware of her other self? I thought that she wasn't. More worrying is the implication that it's a bit of a ticking time bomb.

Oh right E.G.O. Gifts are a thing

Yeah this is going to look suspicious as all hell

Also, Ai is at the very least aware tgat she blacks out sometimes and wakes up surrounded by corpses

Also also, vote

In Lobotomy she has a few moments of clarity after her hysteria episodes where she is regretful and aware of her actions, followed by blacking out and blocking the events to forget all about it as abnormalities are to be immutable.

This is no longer the case.

With the more specific measurement of effect, it definitely seems like we're not up to a real "Day of Light" intensity, but... if the rate is still going up, I have a feeling it'll get there.

Yeah, Wonderlab shows that the "White Nights" in canon were more literal than metapphorical, there wouldn't be a night only Light.

The Dark Days were the opposite the day was covered by darkness so deep that neither the sun or artificial lights could pierce it.

Well we found mumi. Shame the little shitflinger that is qb didn't tell her about us. lying piece of fluff.

Anyways, I'm all for trying to get homurun to open up and then Ai can properly hate qb like all magical girls should.

Hitomi blinks and stands. Ignoring her half-eaten meal, she steps back and takes a few short hops. Then, much to Ai's surprise, she delivers a high kick. Her foot stops at head height, then retracts fluidly. Hitomi hops again, throws a punch sideway, and nods. "I do feel lighter," she comments. Upon seeing Ai gaping at her, she averts her gaze. "Ah, I never mentioned, did I? My parents insisted I learn how to defend myself. I am quite skilled at it."
More fuel toward 'Hitomi being from a criminal, maybe yakuza connected, family. Also, tummy punching Hitomi memes all the way

Kyoko feeds people to witches, I'm not sure our black and white insanity would clash all that well with her

While that's fair, I'm really sure how else to measure it, along with several other things. Like, is the Light cumulative? Does less over longer have a different effect then more all at once? Plus Kuybey is hardly a good source for measuring effects. He has no emotions and doesn't understand them all that well. At most he can read cause and effect.

All I really have to go on is how many days it's been happening.

I think one way to measure the energy level of the White Nights is how many Positive Enkephalin boxes you have to generate over a full playthrough of Lobotomy Corporation, possibly multiplied by around 73,050 depending on whether or not energy is retained when the cycle is reset (since AFAIK 100% of the energy produced in the home branch is for the Seed, we don't have to factor in any energy being piped to the City, thankfully.)
That's at least 36270 energy points for a fully-powered Seed of Light, intended to be released over seven days, making it about ~5181 points of energy being seeded into the hearts of people per day.

Considering the Light is apparently just leaking through a wedgie in space-time though, who knows how its duration is affected. If it's like having a set amount of liquid being pumped through a tube, the narrow "diameter" of this wormhole(?) implied by its low intensity would greatly increase the duration of the Light's effect.

Or maybe this is all completely off-base.

This is one of the most pervasive and disgusting double standard in society, the fact that it's female on male doesn't make it any better. Unfortunately, as I said, it is quite a common double standard and it is one I think should be fought whenever it appears.

[X] Go for Homura

So let's summarize the fight from Mami's POV (using my own words):

Okay this one feels like a witch and didn't deny it.
Alright got her, time to headshot oh god why is there blood and brain matter everywhere
And then the grief seed on her 'hatched' and now she's on another Witch fight this time
Alright killed the witch wait that girl got up
Chest hit, shoulder hit, leg taken off, but the barrier broke so time to gtfo

Bright side, we now know that Ai can handily overpower Mami in a beam-o-war, but this also means she won't go for that a 2nd time. At least Mami now is going to watch out for a surprise 2nd strike the next time.

Meanwhile Mami is prolly all kinds of confused rn. She shot someone who seems to actually be human in the face (since she didn't leave a grief seed behind but blood and a 'dead' body instead) were they actually a magical girl? But they got back up. Super-regeneration? Also she's kinda fucked up - sure the leg taken off is the clearest damage, but that beam into the chest and shoulder prolly is going to be painful.
