The Blood Tide - The Battle For The Crags of Shargun Part II
Plan: Wrath of the Dragon v.1
- Giants: are to provide Artillery support through large stones and boulders at whatever large concentrations of chaos forces in volleys 3 of 50 (allows for repeated strikes against the chaos forces), the last 3 giants are to provide the bulk security for the necromancers.
- Black Knights: split into 8 Groups of 2 million forces to skirmish the sides of the chaos forces, look for weaknesses in their ranks and drive deep into them to rip out the hearts of the forces of chaos, the rest of the 896,673 forces are to support the empire and the dwarves with their own strikes against the back-lines of the Khornetes.
- Grave Guard: Form the true battle-lines with spears and blades out in the front, and brace for the inevitable charge of the chaos warriors.
- Zombies: are to swarm as they often do as the most disposable minions to soak the damage from more valuable units, as well as bring down the warriors of chaos.
- Skeletons: They are to be in the back-ranks with their bows, unleashing volley fire of arrows into the forces of chaos so they suffer constant attrition if they charge into our ranks, if not then fire upon the backs of the chaos forces *little armor there surprisingly*.
- Necromancers: Half of them are to focus on dispelling the daemon forces with their magic if possible, another 20 are to provide magical firepower against the forces of chaos, and the last 20 to provide magical aid for our forces where the fighting is thickest.

The forces heralding from Walachia began their way into the battle not by charging headfirst into the enemy horde who numbered in their low millions, but by the Necromancers ordering most of the Undead Giants to launch stones plucked from the frozen ground into the chaos forces. Which they did so as the Undead infantry and cavalry charged at the mass of daemons and their fellow servants of ruin in perfect ranks.

The first to attack them were the Black Knights, skirmishing across the chaos lines and reaping a bloody toll, their enchanted lances and swords easily piercing or slashing through the forces of ruin. Near a million of them splintered off to help both the Empire and The Dwarves, with the first desperately needing help. For the forces of the blood god had attacked with even greater ferocity than before, attempting to break the imperial and dwarven lines.

While the Dwarves had held, mainly thanks to the Slayers, the forces of the Empire had not been so fortunate, as the forces of chaos cut through them like a hot knife through butter, killing thousands of soldiers and coming very close to breaking the defensive lines.

Then the Black Knights came.

Like a wave they swept away the ferocious enemies the forces of men have been trying so desperately to push back. Which left the surviving soldiers feeling quite confused, many of them were veterans from the past Vampiric War or had fought against Necromancers and their undead armies. So it quite surprised them ‌they were now fighting beside the undead and their masters. Some that worshiped Morr found the situation to be infuriating, because they knew that if they strike at even a simple Zombie, they will be killed either by the Undead or their own comrades, while those that don't worship the god of the dead were simply relieved they had received help.

But even then the horde would not ignore the rest of their force, as hundreds of thousands of Chaos Warriors and Daemons charged at the main body of the army, who quickly formed battle lines. More specifically, the Grave Guard did, planting their black shields on the ground and aiming their spears right into enemy disorganized charge.

The giants continued launching giant stones into the enemy lines, reducing their numbers ithrough not by much.

The Zombies remained in the front for they were taking losses in place of the Grave Guard, who are not as the same type of cannon fodder as them. While the skeletons remained in the back, switching their melee weapons for enchanted bows and arrows, to rain a volley of arrows upon the warriors of the Blood God. The Necromancers stood further back, some weaving incantations upon the massive force of Undead, while others prepared to rain down destructive spells upon the enemy lines.

A group lead directly by Kel'Thuzad, who as the most experienced Necromancer had to them lead into this ‌endeavor as losing just one of them could prove catastrophic, to banish the Daemons of Khorne from the mortal realm and back into the Realm of Souls. This naturally was very dangerous as the servants of the Blood God were geared towards fighting mages and were naturally resistant to spells. With this in mind, they gathered as much power as they could, Kel'Thuzad serving as a nexus for their power and control to banish at least a major portion of the Daemons.

They didn't have to wait for long, as a wave of chaos warriors crashed into the Zombie Horde. And then daemons came too. That they were easily cutting through them was no surprise, after all while the Zombies definitely had numbers on their sides, the forces of Khorne had superior Martial Skill.

Not that they didn't ‌inflict casualties. Quite on the contrary, many a mortal and immortal servant of Khorne went to their master that day by the fell weapons wielded by the Undead armies of Wallachia.

But just as they were about to reach the second line that was composed of Grave Guard, the daemonical servants of Khorne started vanishing much to their fury. The Necromancers had banished a large quantity of Daemons back to the Aether. It wasn't all of them and it was only the ones that had charged at the Wallachian lines of attack and not the ones that were attacking their Allies.

Speaking of them, their situation was becoming stable on the side of the Empire, as its troops reorganized themselves and once more put up resistance though it was lesser than before. The Dwarves continued fighting, with many Slayers finally meeting the Glorious Doom they had waited for so long, and cannon fire and bolts being launched at the chaos lines reaping bloody lines.

But they didn't have time to think of that as the forces of chaos clashed against the Grave Guard and they did not find them wanting. They remained firmly in their positions, stabbing the chaos warriors with their spears while keeping their shields firmly in their position. If one fell, two would take their place, if they too fell, then thousands would take theirs. And so they reached a stalemate, as the Chaos Warriors could not advance past the Grave Guard and the Grave Guard themselves could not push back.

At least until the Necromancers started raining Magical Artillery in the middle of the Chaos Forces.

Bolts and magical blasts shaped from Dhar were launched in waves upon the forces of chaos. Causing many of the mortal servants of Khorne to meet their end. This did little to stop their ferocity, even as the Skeletons started raining down millions of arrows upon their forces.

But while the forces of the Blood Tide certainly had skill, they did not have the numbers necessary to annihilate the undead army, and so slowly and steadily they were pushed back by the sheer numbers of the army of the Dragon. Much to their fury.

In fact seeing that they were being pushed back only made them fight much harder than before, allowing them to stop the undead advance. Not that it would help them much, the Black Knights were still causing hell on their exposed lines, and constantly seeking a way to drive their lances into the horde's heart.

The Empire and the Dwarves pushed back against the chaos tide, mostly thanks to the fact that most of the horde were focused on the undead army and not on them. Chaos warriors fell while Daemons were banished back to the Realm of Souls. Imperial soldiers that possessed handguns, bows, and crossbows, aimed and fired with deadly precision, while Dwarven cannons sung their deadly tune.

Greatsword regiments fought alongside the legendary Slayers, and their combined skill was something to see. And the leaders of both armies too fought side by side. Magnus wielding his holy hammer while the Longbeards swung their rune encrusted axes. In simple words, the warriors of the realms of Men and Dawi fought side by side once more, since the fabled ancient days of Sigmar.

The Warriors of Khorne were losing this battle, and they knew it,

The Necromancers tried once more to banish the daemon army, only to fail again, with some of them even receiving backlash, though not enough to kill them fortunately enough.

But they didn't have to worry much, as their forces started to once more push back against the horde, this time no matter how hard they fought, they couldn't stop them, and so they continued to step back. And step back they did. The forces of Wallachia pushed them back from the forces of the Empire and the Dwarves, relieving both forces from the constant meat grinder they were previously stuck with.

Then all of those three different forces started doing what would previously be considered to be impossible. They worked together. And while this wasn't particularly shocking for the Dwarves and the Empire as those two factions have an alliance dating back generations. That the undead forces were not immediately attacked was surprising, especially so for the Empire who had suffered ‌at the hands of Necromancers.

This only showed how truly reviled chaos was, that beings fully willing to kill one another would ally to defeat them.

In the end, it nearly took them a month, but after they were done, they had pushed the forces of the Blood Tide back to the northern blast.

that was a GRIND!

but dear god we managed to plug the gap into the heart-lands of the empire and bought most importantly, TIME.

time enough for the forces of order to begin the march to relieve other forces...in fact i think before we go anywhere else, we smash the chaos shrine to lure the everchosen to his grave.

Asavar (the current Everchosen) is still in the chaos wastes, the one leading the Blood Tide is one of his lieutenants, the proper chaos tide led by him is going to take a while to appear.

ah yes...this is going to be a BITCH to fight...still the assault on the chaos gods "holy Ground" will be...a issue they cant ignore. As it is, we need the momentum, and if were lucky chaos might end up getting pissed off enough to start attacking each other, meaning Asavar has to deal with the other three chuckle-fucks deciding to try and get their own candidates into the ever chosen position. Thats discounting the minor and intermediate chaos gods deciding to say "FUCK IT" and gang piling into that mess.

Necho (being the god of disbelief and technically the strongest chaos god due to being extremely unknown) might decide to spread "Disbelief" into chaos forces, Malal is going to Malal, Horned rat would definitely want an "in" with the big boy's table...their insane like that. Hashut is going to do his shit-show of being the arms dealer, Zuvassin might decide to laugh at everyone and fuck up their plans first and foremost before heading off to screw with everyone, the gods of law might want to do their usual "JUMP FEET FIRST INTO HELL" routine when chaos tides inevitably get beaten back so they can get influence in this timeline.

otherwise...this is going to be interesting, and well-done Kel for fucking up the enemy once again! Now we just need to find the Arthas and Jaina characters for apprentice and for potential Lich King material lol!

The Blood Tide - Next Steps II

The battle for the Crags of Shargun was officially over, thanks to the combined efforts of the armies heralding from the Empire of Men, Wallachia and the Dwarven Holds of the World Edge Mountains. But none could deny that it was Wallachia that gave the push needed to push Chaos back to the northern blast, their massive numbers allowing them to fight the army of the Blood God with numeric equality, and eventually surpass them. But the Necromancers that lead the massive undead army were not expecting to be thanked for their help. In fact, after waiting a few days for the ones that received the magical backlash to recover, they were already ready to depart.

So imagine their surprise when both Magnus The Pious and the Longbeards personally went to them and thanked for their help. While they doubted Magnus' words, as he is from the Empire, who did not have the best story involving the forces of the undead, they believed the words of the Longbeards. After all, Dwarves are infamous for their honesty, as much as the Elves are infamous for their arrogance.

After that, the three armies went their separate ways. Magnus had moved back towards Erengrad, not only to resupply and give his men the rest he knew they desperately needed, but also to receive further reinforcements from the Empire. The Dwarven force rejoined back with the force sent to the Rose Rains, who have successfully broken the siege and sent the chaos forces running.

On other news, the Elven forces led by the mage Teclis have also successfully broken the month long siege of Paadeshyshiva. He also has received reinforcements courtesy of the Phoenix King, who is being led by his own twin brother. They are moving towards Goranitch, seeking to help the Kislev force sent there to reclaim the city which fell to the forces of chaos.

The Dwarves have also conjoined on Bolgasgrad alongside a heavy contingent of Kislevite forces, if what the Illuminated are theorizing is true they are planning to launch an attack at Krasicino then steadily retake town after town, and finally a final siege against Praag, who is the heart of the invasion.

The plan is sound, at least in theory, and according to the informants close to the Tzar, they plan to group up with both the Elven and Imperial Forces, alongside the forces of Wallachia, if everything goes right. But according to them, the plan also reeks of desperation. The invasion has severely hurt Kislev's coffers and food stores as refugees continue fleeing south of the devastation, and winter is coming. So food has a severe chance of becoming scarce, and that is not even talking about the economic problems they will probably face.

The Blood Tide has to end now, or Kislev has a likely chance of starving in the coming winter.

With all of this information, the Necromancers decide to head to...

The Army of Death
- Undead: 5,354,025 Skeleton Warriors; 4,122,614 Zombies; 13,760,705 Grave Guard; 16,396,673 Black Knights; 153 Undead Giants
- Magical Forces: 90 Necromancers

Locations (You can split your forces if you want to):
- [] Chamon Dharek: A holy ground dedicated to the chaos gods, it holds many artifacts of power through they all are tainted in some way or another, as a sacred ground of chaos it is highly defended by forces of all the chaos gods, be they mortal or otherwise, alongside any surprise that is hidden from normal or magical sight.
- [] Goranitch: A chaos fortress in the northern blast. Serves as a staging ground for chaos forces that are moving towards the south. The Elves alongside Kislevite forces are moving towards it to reclaim it.
- [] Krasicino: Another fortress used as staging ground for raids into the south it is the primary target of the Dwarves and most of the forces of Kislev.
- [] Zoishenk: A 'Ritual City'. It is a chaos fortress where constant sacrifices are being realized to summon hordes of daemons tobe used by the Blood Tide.

cut off the daemons from their sacrifices, then we move onto Chamon Dharek. This is a fucking risky proposition and chaos forces MAY be knowing of us fucking it up...but fucking up their rituals to back-lash against the chaos gods is always funny to me. Plus cities arent that well known for their defenses unlike castles/fortresses.

so having the undead rampage untill we can do the same shit again will be hilarious as chaos does learn, it just learns SLOWLY...this time we use a better vessel like a black knight or a grave-gaurd. would be hilarious if we got one of the best magic users from the future (Aka Yagath who most likely will just try to go back to the past and reclaim lost magics and to try them out against chamon Dharek just for the sake of studying how it would work...not even realizing that the tzeenchian's there consider him their ultimate rival *One sided since it barely acknowledges them unless its a magical duel*)

I think this is the best option, risky but if we take it then that cuts off a lot of thier Daemonic reinforcements.

my thinking exactly, but afterwards we need to hit the "Holy Site" for chaos forces, and maybe destroy allot of their artifacts and altars to REALLY fuck them up a bit.

Think we should go for Chamon Dharek or Zoishenk as the other 2 places have other powers going after them, attack chaos on 3 places would be for the best

[X] Zoishenk: A 'Ritual City'. It is a chaos fortress where constant sacrifices are being realized to summon hordes of daemons tobe used by the Blood Tide.
