Happy to see this back again.

we have the video evidence if they want to see it, i think.

Hurray an update!

Dunno where to begin. But I'm leaning towards the Process. The Ozpinatti and Salem are pretty big secrets. And I don't think the former is his secret to share right now.

[] The Process- "... So, he knows about the Process now. He was…" Awestruck? Left speechless? Beyond ecstatic? "... impressed."

Edit: On second thought, when I reread it. Ozpin or was it Qrow? Anyways, they recommended Jaune to tell his teammates to lessen the burden on himself.

After an awkward explanation of Turn()'s quirks, Goodwitch, thankfully, does not give you detention or turn the Transistor into an ornamental cube. Instead, you were given a polite threat request to better manage your ability to crunch many actions into a small amount of time.
I must admit to being a bit sad not to have had a bit more of Goodwitch's reaction to "I sort of uhhh cut off the flow of time, added myself performing a series of attacks that cumulatively enhance eachother and then stitched time back together again with my new addition?"

Same. But I'm fine with Dove being a good sport over the match at least.

The way I remember it being described was that Turn() used a predictive thing, and that it was just simulating actions until we actually carried them out. Then this chapter it seems to be straight super-speed time-stop thing, rather than super-complex simulation.
Chapter: Test(), Cycle 3: Turn() Iteration 1
You're already a little more relaxed. You essentially have all the time in the world to converse with your giant supercomputer, come up with a plan, run simulations, and then you'll take it out on Xanadu as best you can.

First. The sand. How do you-

{It's ankle-deep. Whatever plan Saff had, it's already failed for you because even if you couldn't just Jaunt() out of it, you could just stomp your feet a little and then Jaunt() out.}

... Dammit, the thinking rock's got a point. Well, that's as good a start as any, you suppose. You Jaunt() out of the sand, and end up almost face to face with Xanadu.

Well, not you you, you you is still standing stock still- what you're seeing is just a simulation created by the Transistor for planning purposes. But you can see the sadistic little snarl on his face, wrinkling his nose and generally leaving him looking a little bit psychotic, all the same, so why argue semantics?
Jaunt() behind him, queue a Crash()-Breach() batch file, then-

{Ah! Time's up, boss. You're just gonna have to Jaunt() out from behind him when everything's done.}

Tch. And you were having so much fun, too. End Turn().

Everything begins to move again, but at a rate you would expect if the Coliseum had suddenly filled with syrup. Everything's moving in slow motion- you watch as Lumen struggles to bring his knees out from his sandpile, the sand shifting by the grain, eventually leading to greater avalanches appearing. He's apparently having been given... special attention by Saff. Creme's eyes are widening by fractions of millimetres as she realises who's coming towards her, and Xanadu's feet are pounding the ground at a tenth of the rate they were, the sand rippling out under his heels in waves of beige, and then you begin to move.

You watch a bullet whiz by, the brass-jacketed scorched badly enough by its exit from the barrel that you can see how it spirals, even at the snail's pace it's currently moving at.

You Jaunt() straight up to him, let off the Spiral() just in time for him to recognise there's something in front of him, Jaunt() behind him, let off a Crash() just fast enough to hit him before the Spiral does, logging an entirely new set of subatomic weaknesses, but not making Xanadu stumble- he really is almost impossible to knock over- and finish off with a final Breach(), just in time for him to impact the ball of Spiral() energy, and ok wow that bullet almost took your ear off time to Jaunt() like you've never Jaunt()ed before-
How did Jaune fuck up to the point he had to step in an take one of his own hits for Dove when it shouldn't have even launched without him giving a final say so on the Plan? When it was supposed to be simulated until he'd consumed all the Plan() action economy?

The way it worked in the Game is that you had essentially infinite time in Plan() to turn the hack'and'slash board into a puzzle game for maxing damage or pulling off utilities. It introduced what was essentially bullet time, but the bullet time had to planned out first and happened next, like Fallout V.A.T.S. before time would start and you'd pull off your plan.
This was just... super speed.
It feels like we got punished for the plan that was picked because we crit.

[X] Ozpin- "... Ozpin's an immortal wizard who wields magic. The Transistor broke because he used said magic to make it stop thinking after it tried to poke his soul a bunch. He's not mad, it's fine, they made up."

Time to lead off with the biggest in-setting reveal first. Then we can cover our stuff.

I'm assuming we're going to make our way through the full list of topics, or make decent headway on it. Salem is the most important one to start on tho, since it's putting a lot of pressure on Jaune emotionally and the sooner he offloads that the better. After that I'd say Ada comes next, since she deserves to know we spilled the beans on that.
Also, I love that I finished the time stop sequence JUST as the linked song ended. Also really nice choice of track as well, got the nostalgia flowing for a sec.
Then I rolled a 900, so I just fucking tore up my notes and wrote the Passionflower dream instead.
Ah yes, the passionflower sequence. That was some grade S stuff alright. The linked song gave me a new favorite artist too, so wins all around with that update.

It feels like we got punished for the plan that was picked because we crit.
But were we REALLY punished tho? We got slapped on the wrist, sure, but I don't see this as a real punishment rather than extra flavoring on doing a little too good in a spar. No detention, no maiming or crippling, etc. We might as well have gotten off scot free

[X] Ozpin- "... Ozpin's an immortal wizard who wields magic. The Transistor broke because he used said magic to make it stop thinking after it tried to poke his soul a bunch. He's not mad, it's fine, they made up."

I think our friends would appreciate the context of there being an immortal wizard on team humanity before we mention the unbeatable Witch Queen who wants to burn everything they've ever known and loved to the ground.

Just a hunch.

I agree with Farrow, we should buffer the Really Bad News with some good news first, especially since it becomes easier to break the Bad News if magic is already accepted.

Guys, we're probably gonna be going over all of these, we're just choosing which topic to start with. Quite frankly, starting with an explanation of the previous events which then segways into the context for all the other things to mention makes by far the most sense to me.

[X] Ozpin- "... Ozpin's an immortal wizard who wields magic. The Transistor broke because he used said magic to make it stop thinking after it tried to poke his soul a bunch. He's not mad, it's fine, they made up."

Yeaaahhhh, let's maybe ease into it?

Also, I have to second the question about how Turn() works; we indeed did *not* actually get punished for anything, and I'm fine with it being time dilation instead of an action planning setup, but which one it is is probably information we should know so we can keep it in mind for future fights.

I mean, it was always at least partially time dilation, even ignoring the Turn Planning phase Red moves way faster for the performance phase

[X] Ada- "Ada I kinda let slip that Boriah Lee's coming here for you, I am- so sorry, it just kinda… came up in conversation."
