Are you sure skill focus is worth the same amount of xp as the other feats? 3 skill points is not so much
It is also a prerequisite for a bunch of other feats.

If I hadn't already agreed to choose Cumbrous Will this time, I would be extremely tempted to pick Skill Focus (Bluff). That would bring Roland up to +8 Bluff, which isn't great but isn't bad either. More importantly, however, it would stack with the Class skill bonus. So next level up, if we put even 1 point into Bluff, his bonus would go from +8 to +12. Shifting some points away from Handle Animal would let us raise his Bluff bonus nicely.
It's feinting, which depends on the Bluff skill.Out of curiosity, what are these deceiving tactics?
(If we're already going to kill them, lying to them seems rather trivial.)
Do y'all prefer Skill Focus (Bluff) over Cumbrous Will? I'm game for either one.[X] Goldfish
This makes it really good!
But how about some battle tactics involving deception?
I prefer Cumbrous Will, we're going to war against demons, so I think we're gonna need it.Do y'all prefer Skill Focus (Bluff) over Cumbrous Will? I'm game for either one.
My one misgiving is that we choose before rolling the save, and Roland probably can't really identify incoming magics- the primary cause of all the worst will saving throws- with any great nuance. Still, an incredible will save is practically the grail for warriors in my experience, with how common they're caught in the crossfire….
Edit: Also, without Improved Feint, which we aren't quite bright enough to get, Feinting doesn't seem very good. Why not just make two attacks instead of one more accurate one?
Darwinian Selection in action, about... six centuries before the man himself was born?Knowing our luck, we will get to improve the quality of Anwari pirates' genes once again.
More likely 300 centuries before he was born. Give or take a dozen millennia, I think.Darwinian Selection in action, about... six centuries before the man himself was born?

This setting is definitely many, many thousands prior to modern Earth history.
