Panem Forever (A Hunger Games Quest)

[X] Settle back down and prepare yourself to evaluate District 4. (If you want to survive the opening day of the games, you know you should probably learn everything you can about the career pack. Honorius knows 2 like the back of his hand and will probably try to help you get an alliance with 2 or 4. You don't have anything against Willow, you might even try to ally with her in the arena, but there can only be one winner and you need to cover your bases.)

[X] Look for Willow. (She might not want to play the Capitol's game but she needs to watch the damn reapings. She might see things that you don't and it was Honorius' job to help you anyway. He'll come around.)

Yeah we need to at least be on talking terms with her. Besides I wouldn't want to face the more trained people near the end which some people are thinking about would lead to. Who knows maybe she actually has a good reason for what she did.

Only 1 person can win the Games. If the Quest's goal is to win, whether we reach out to Willow or not doesn't matter (the aimed for end goal is her dead regardless).

Staying guarantees Honorius does more than make the bare minimum effort (just projecting- that could mean anything from better training, or getting a chance to make alliances with the careers). Leaving means we leave that to chance.

And besides- We made an effort before, she said no. What makes you think the response will be any different now?

Who knows maybe she actually has a good reason for what she did.

Distrust and hate for Honorius as a 2 (understandable). Hatred for the Capitol and not wanting to play their game (equally if not more understandable).

Some semblance of pride and fatalism — she's probably already accepted that her odds of not ever going home are, well, high. And if that's the case, better to die while remaining true to yourself.

Pride and grief could also be reasons. Mix and match, et cetera, et cetera.

Poor Buck and Georgette. Georgette atleast has some protection, anyone who touches her Will lose alot of support from The Capital right?

Sorry I don't believe we can convince Willow to come back and watch the reapings with us. After all she did reject us the first time around.

Edit: Fix X and spelling.

Don't forget to X it in or the tally won't count it!

"Georgette Dillon!"

Shouts of protest and mutters erupt from the crowd and the local peacekeepers, whose uniforms are a little more off-white than the others, stiffen. You wonder what could be worse than the normal lottery of sending kids to their death. Your eyes widen when you see her. She's pregnant. Nearly to bursting pregnant. She comes forward from the 17-year-old section sobbing and heaving and even the peacekeepers look uncomfortable, one of them holding her up when she almost trips.
Dammit dude, this is so, so, so beyond fucked up... Poor girl...

Did you rolled for this?

Well, I feel kinda bad saying this but no, I've handcrafted every single tribute with an extensive backstory and I originally had something else planned for District 8 but with each successive draft, the chapter got darker and darker and well, I'm sorry?... This messed up stuff came from me brain lol

Yeah, I understand, but congratulations you have surprised me... I have never seen a Hunger Games Fanwork in which one of the tributes was a heavily pregnant teenager, which is probably the worst thing that could happen to any tribute (If you die, so does your baby, and since your physical capabilities are significantly impeded your chances of survival plummet)

Fuck, I am really conflicted for all this, I want her and her baby to survive somehow, but that would also meant our dead, which is not great...

I'm kind of wondering whether we can make a point by teaming up with Georgette. Like, yes, a heavily pregnant teen is a horrible partner, but it's also a good way to demonstrate just how monstrous the Hunger Games are in a way that's irrefutable. If she dies to a tribute, then the districts are evil, but if she dies due to exposure or some other challenge during the games while someone is trying to keep her alive? Then suddenly citizens start asking questions about what the Games are about. Cracks start forming, and if we somehow make it to the end, I'd be willing to bet that making a stand would pay off. It worked with Katniss after all.

A bit more cynically, tributes can get care packages, and I'm almost certain she'll be getting something good.

Yeah, I am also really tempted to do so... For basic human decency if nothing else, and also for our own sanity, we are probably going to fail to keep her and her baby alive, but at least we can say that we tried our best...

Honestly there are benefits if we work with the pregnant girl. For the game and for Flints mind. The main problem is gonna be once we enter the arena at the start. The only way I think we can keep her alive at the start is convincing her that she shouldn't go for the supplies and just go in the opposite direction. And there is somehow convincing her to work with us.

Demonstrait our running speed, earn her trust, assure her we will get her supplies, grab what we need at the cornocopia. Assuming the voters can agree on this course of action and we pick the right responses to inspire trust.

Pretty much my thoughts if we go for it. I'm honestly all for it at this time. The thing she brings to the table is that I can easily see her getting lots of sponsors if she can survive the first day.

There have been a few people that caught my eye from the competition so far. Well everyone can be a threat if pushed far enough but these two caught my eye on threats. The girl from District 11. She adapted pretty quickly like Flint did. Not sure how well she'll do physically but she seems to got charm and is adaptable. Then we got the older cowboy. He seems to be in good shape and was pretty charming too. Will probably play that cowboy image to get those sponsors.
