I will have math up to track as of the next update, there isn't a lot to track this time.
If you mean a running total someone just has to count every so often.
If there isn't enough bad things will happen, the swarm lives and dies by good drones.
So what do they actually do narratively when there isn't enemies to throw themselves against?
Do we have enough to make a spawning pool? Can we build buildings if we know others are resource harvesting enough during the same round?
Let me present to you, your new threads first (non-canon?) omake! So what do you think?
This is what I thought when I read the description:
A New Queen Arises
Somewhere in the multiverse there was a broken child. This child struggle. This child faced hardship day by day. This child fought against a unfair and cruel world. Only to be ridiculed and hated even as she did what little she could. Not even her last surviving parent was there to help her learn to be better, to do better, to make a right decision. Or when failing that? Just to be there to help her fight off the loneliness. But that was not how her life was.
Over her short life she fought druggies, degenerates, zealots, crazies, psycho killers, deeply set corruption and conspiracy cabals. Even when betrayed she fought to save who she could against engines of destruction only to be betrayed yet again and cursed by those she dared to grow close to.
Over time, inspite of all against her she grew in power even as the infamy rose with her. Forced time and time again to make harder and harder choices as the enemies grew in cruelty, and the situation ever more desperate. She fought her hardest. The constant underdog.
Eventually she found herself battling against a vindictive god. To beat this thing she made a choice to sold her personhood. In exchange she was granted amazing power. Unkind power, but amazing power. Allowed her to unite the world into a cohesive whole and bring an end to armageddon.
All this came to a tragic end though. Her reward? To be murdered.
She did not fight it though. She knew her soul was all but gone. A potential danger to others as terrible as the Slain god, should she live. So she raised no objection. No protest. Parting away her horde. Two bullets and it was done.
Despite years later another child celebrated by saving numerous worlds via mass suicide, this child would not be celebrated for saving lives instead of ending them.
But this was not the end. Her killer opened a rift between the worlds and tossed her in. And in spite of the odds? Her dieing body found itself in pool of some kind pool adaptive ever evolving liquid. The last visages of her power taking control of the young Hive crying out for help and safety. Forced the only spawning pool and a few drones to convert into a cacoon. Both healing what they could while covering her in a protective covering. But her kind, soul, and brain where heavily damaged. And even if her brain didn't possess non standard brain structures this was the first time the very young Hive ever met a human. They only had some few records enough to recognize the body. As such, her body didn't get everything it needed or the right way. Minerals were already in the red. Which left her with a terrible fever as her body's immune system fought against itself.
This was the day this particular Hive came to serve the Once and Future Queen Of Escalation. May the entire Galaxy tremble should the Queen Of Blades criss the Queen Of Escalation!
