Our troops and ships are already over there. As long as we don't have to drain the homeland's defenses, its should be fine.

The one I feel the most unsure about. On one hand, its one of the few acts that the USA can do that will win support from both sides of radicals. On the other, can Canada even afford to pay what was owned by a former world empire?

For the Canadians, we need to make sure we have friends north of the border and a way to pressure more of the British emigres than tanking our ties with a nation that has the longest demilitarized border out there. Let there be new talks when the royalists are ground down and the Canadians can feel that Canada is their own country again.

Lets not veer towards the canadians too much or they will force us to fund their pointless crusade

We neither need a war halfway around the world nor a foolish conflict with one of our largest trading partners. But German intrusions into South America to support a military government and erode the Monroe Doctrine cannot go unanswered. The links between Carlés and the Germans are yet weak - better to end this threat now.

Canada is far and away America's largest trading partner, particularly in some very politically sensitive areas right now. Think very carefully if the loss of trade from a trade war and the needless hostility of 1 of only 2 neighboring powers is a good idea, especially considering that as Federal authority continues to break down that some Governors who we cannot protect but are nonetheless disinclined to throw in with Long or Reed may instead look to Ottawa for protection.

I'll support this view. We'll soon get into a scrap with the German Empire with our foreign policy. Canada, and the Commonwealth, are a natural ally. There is no need to antagonize them, our aggressive foreign policy stances in the other two options should cover us on domestic support.

Canada, and the Empire, are our best-friends-of-convenience at this juncture. Why spoil relationships to demand money they can't even pay us? Veto the hell out of that crap.

Besides, assuming they reclaim Britain, backed by American money and arms, their debt is just going to increase. We'll have leverage over them for decades. At least thats the pragmatic view.

Probably not the best idea, but hey, War is a brewing and we need all the domestic support we can get, we know America is a sleeping Tiger, the civil war only dampens it a bit.
