[x] It's likely where Touko and Hifumi are and where the Yeerk Pool is are one and the same.

Because they'd want to infest them too....damn Yerks.

So what's the difference between finding the Yeerk Pool, finding Toko and Hifumi, and thinking she'll find Toko and Hifumi at the Yeerk pool? They all sound like pretty much the same thing.
There's always the chance Touko and Hifumi may not be at the yeerk pool, Kyoko is technically only guessing the yeerks have even gotten them

I still maintain they're playing a game of how long they can last versus a fight they can win though.

Oh hai there, Ellimist

Edit: Also, a question of my own. Does this Quest even count as alt!power if the Danganronpa crew still has (far as voters know anyway) all their canon powers (Talents aren't technically superpowers, but they're treated as such)?

Gotcha. Well, like I said, there's a chance that Toko might have snapped, so they might not strictly be at the Yeerk pool, but Kyoko wouldn't know that. Still, best to prioritize looking for just Toko and Hifumi at the moment. The Yeerk pool is something to note, but not something to look into until everyone's safe. We'll need all the help we can get here.

[X] My mission of finding Hifumi and Touko hasn't changed, I'll just send some others to try finding this Yeerk Pool.

Still, I do worry that sending someone else to find the pool is a bad idea. I can't think of anyone else who has the snooping skills to do so quietly.

Well, maybe Mukuro might be able to.

On another topic, is there an actual way to remove a Yeerk from their host, or will the hosts be meat puppets forever?

Yeerks naturally exit their hosts every three days to feed on 'Kadrona Rays', which is why they go to the Yeerk Pool where the rays are, and another Yeerk can immediately put them back in (Not really a spoiler, this is like Book 1 Animorphs info)

*frowns* It's been I think at least a decade, but uhh.
I think it's at least theoretically possible. Practically one needs specialized equipment to get one out from your brain without ending up a vegatable, if I'm recalling correctly.
As for the canon Danganropa abilties, I'm 100% lost but the impression I got is said super-powers are probably more low-key...

Of course starving a Yeerk is well, an experience for both the Yeerk and the Host. It fucks people up.

Byakuya is going to throw a fit whenever we meet the Chee isn't he?

Would, hypothetically, a certain "Ultimate Neruologist" be able to remove a Yeerk from a restrained host without any severe consquences to the host itself?

Then, to not get too into DR spoilers, I'll just say the Yeerks could have just dug their own collective graves if so.

There's one person who I feel would a bit miffed that they weren't the one to kill them :V

Mostly depends on if things have gone according to canon or not. Things are kinda fucky as is, and I can't quite tell how much of the plot of Danganronpa has gone down, or even when in the timeline this started.

For now I'll just say that this takes place at the start of the school year sans Killing Game. While I can't detail the in-character reason for Mukuro being Junko, one of the out-of-story reasons was that i kinda didn't want to instantly spoil Mukuro's, er, existence for any Animorphs fans unfamiliar with Danganronpa... granted that ship has kinda sailed now

I mean, I can avoid spilling too many spoilers if you want, at least for Danganronpa.

Considering this is supposedly the first year of Class 78 judging by the dialouge so far (Danganronpa spoilers ahead so I'm putting the rest under a...spoiler):

The Parade and the Tragedy of Hope's Peak hasn't occurred yet, and any of the Mastermind's plans for the Tragedy haven't made any fruition yet, save perhaps the massacure that happened at that one middle school by the Mastermind's Number 2. The character I'm talking about was killed during the Parade I believe, before the school itself was stormed.

The Hope Cultivation Plan/Izuru Kamukura Project may have already happened though, since those involved were a year senior of 77 I believe...hm, that may have given me an Omake idea later when I have my PC back.

Yeah, that's my thinking too, but the fact that Mukuro is Junko, and everyone seems to have been memory wiped makes me question if we're already past the Parade or not. The memory wipe tech was developed by Yasuke, but wasn't used by Junko till after his death.

~ Pros and Cons of doing a Danganronpa Quest:

Pros: Lots of opportunity for discussion among voters
Cons: Spoiler City, baby ~

Okay, bit more seriously now, surprised nobody's commented on Mondo being Yeerk'd, figured that'd be a notable shock

I don't know who he is, so while it is unfortunate, given he's apparently a gang leader, it'd make sense for the Yeerks to get him asap

I mean, it sucks, but there's nothing to be done about it. We're just gonna have to deal with it, but for now, there's other fires to fight.

In our defense, not even Spike Chunsoft bothers to conceal the Mastermind's identity these days. :V

It is kinda a bummer for me admittedly, he's one of my fav three of the THH cast alongside Toko and Kyoko. At the same time, I expected it as soon as he was seen talking to Jin, and if he wasn't, he was going to be not long after he entered the office of a Yeerk Host.

Okay, somewhat embarrassing mistake on my part. I accidentally had Elfangor under the 'Yeerk invasion' in the Characters section, oops. Think I just mixed up the Yeerks for anyone from outer-space

One complaint I do have with Animorphs is how misleading 'Yeerk Controller', the official term for anyone possessed by a Yeerk, can be. It makes it sounds the human is controlling the Yeerk, when actually it's than the other way around

About the whole 'Ultimate/Super High-School Level' thing, eh, so far I've been going with SHSL mainly for flavour reasons, like Ultimate's quicker to type but I feel SHSL fits the setting better, especially since it's reportedly a reference to a throwaway line in Tokimeki Memorial (a reference that admittedly doesn't carry for a Western audience). Ultimate does allow for 'Ultimorphs' as a nickname though

Also, how would DRV3 even work in this setting? Like recreating Yeerks and Animorphs in 'real life' would be significantly harder than just recreating a Killing Game, but eh, knowing that game they'd probably find a way
