[X] The World of Sol Lucence: A world with both bright light and dark shadows. Divine spirits, demonic devils, swords and magic. This world is one filled with conflict and alliances between different races across the world. This is a world filled with heroes and myths, and there are always those who want to emulate them and create their own myths that will be told in the books of history or around the campfire.
Slaying dragons, fighting off the king of devils, defeating a horde of barbarians. These are the marks of heroes in this world
(Edited: Crap I missed it. I was busy sleeping while this was made...)
For anyone who is unsure, Black Sky won, meaning I consider the one who wrote Black Sun as the meaning to belong to this choice as well.
Now hen, onto the update. Threats.
The world around you and those you love are filled with the threats of humans who desire to chance the status quo or monsters who desire nothing more than to destroy everything that you love.
The world in which you inhabit is a world in which thick clouds and fog made by black magic cover the sun, shortening the days to only 6 hours of sunlight a day. 6 hours of safety for the human race against the forces of darkness that rule the world.
In this world, humanity is simply one giant mega-city, locked and barricaded to fend off their foes while they try to live and survive. The heroes that will rise up from humanity, those that you will groom into mighty legends from simple farmers, will be the ones to struggle to push further into the darkness and bring light to the human race.
But these heroes throughout their journey will become interconnected with three particular forces whom they will clash more than with any other. They will become those powers' bitter rivals as the heroes will fight to destroy every remnant of that evil, for those particular brand of evil are the biggest threats to humanity.
However, before you pick the biggest threats to your heroes, you must become knowledgeable about the threat levels of these threats.
Threat Level:
Minor: This faction might not be the top of the pecking order in the world, but they have ambition to rise and act immediately to do show, making them the most immediate threat. Most missions early on tie up to them as they are the first grand scale enemy that your heroes would face.
Intermediate: This faction is a power not to be trifled with. While far above your previous faction, they only sow the seeds to their plans while your heroes face their most immediate foe, only to start appearing more and more after the first threat has been defeated.
Major: This is the greatest, most powerful and most dangerous threat to humanity and your heroes. While facing the Minor threat, there are only small trickles of their existence. While facing the Intermediate threat, more notable agents of this threat would come to blows with your heroes, only to take more of an active role upon the defeat of the Intermediate threat.
Now it is up to you to decide which threats will be the ones that will serve as the biggest threats to humanity and your heroes.
Please select 1 Minor, 1 Intermediate and 1 Major
[ ] The Empire: The strongest nation in the world, the empire wants to expand and consume all other nations on the map, including the nations of humanity. Their military is overwhelming and their ruler's ambition of world domination is unmatched, unwavering and completely merciless.
(Setting unique text): The Empire were also those that enslaved humanity and are now in a small decline after losing their greatest workforce. Their aristocracy desires two things: enslaving humanity once more and rise to greater heights.
[ ] The Horde: An unstoppable wave of nomadic barbarians, they raid and raze whatever place that is unfortunate to meet them down to the ground. They do not have any real ill intent towards anyone, but whoever gets in their way will get exterminated. No exceptions.
[ ] The Cult: A group of maniac hate the world. They desire to revive or create a being with power beyond comprehension to destroy it. They devotion to that cause is fanatic zealotry and they would do anything to accomplish that goal. And if they do... the world might be as good as dead.
[ ] The Ancient Evil: Before the rise of nations, when humans were only at their humble beginnings, there was an evil greater than all other evils. However, over several millennia ago that greater evil was defeat. Forced into slumber, humanity forgot about it. However, now it is awake again and slowly regains its old power in order to regain its old status and make other quiver in fear from him.
[ ] The Government Conspiracy: Sometimes, evil doesn't come from the monsters outside of your borders, but it comes from those who stand at the top of your nation. The rulers of your nation have a conspiracy that is creating the current status quo or plan to do something radical to gain absolute power. But at what cost.
(Setting unique text): The ruling class of humanity's mega-city have always showed signs of corruption and distance from the people. Their plans will have drastic effects on humanity and their foes, but is it something that they will consider?
[ ] The Uprising: Sometimes the greatest threat to your nation and heroes are not the monsters from outside the world or the rulers of nations, but fanatics inside of your own nation whom desire to overthrow the government in order to chance society or deal with monsters according to their ideologies.
So here is the threat update.
This is how it I kinda see the votes being written this time:
[ ] Plan Name
-[ ] Threat option (Minor)
-[ ] Threat option (Intermediate)
-[ ] Threat option (Major)
[X]Plan: It was Jefferey Bezos the whole time
-[X] The Cult (Minor)
-[X] The Ancient Evil (Intermediate)
-[X] The Government Conspiracy (Major)
Why do I choose such an unorthodox order, you ask? Yes. (The first two synergize well, and the 1st having something to do with defering to the second makes sense. The third rounds it up nicely, because most evil cult thigns are started by those who want power and control, and isn't it just like human greed to sacrifice others for their own selfish needs, to further their own goals and aspirations? Cheese?)
[X] Plan: The Three Layers
-[X] The Cult (Minor)
-[X] The Government Conspiracy (Intermediate)
-[X] The Ancient Evil (Major)
The idea came from thinking the cult was the big bad only for the curtains to be pulled and it was a conspiracy the whole time and there were was no real big bad only to have the rug pulled out from you when you find there really is a big bad evil hiding this whole time
[X] Plan End of an Era

"Smh, I can't believe they retconned the whole magic thing in season three"
"Ikr? Like, if you're gonna say it was the government, then say it was them. Leading the fans on isn't cool, and honestly? I expected better from this studio."
"Guys guys, you're too harsh on it. I mean, you have to admit, it was a twist nobody expected, right?"

In a world in which there are many or even constant threats to humanity, there are the heroes who fight these threats. But there is also one who leads and manages the company which those heroes belong to. One that sends them on their quests, one that runs the headquarters while they are away, one who deals with payment and with the requests of the authorities and the leaders of the mega-city that belongs to humanity.
That person is you, and your name is...
[ ] Write-In
You are a hero yourself, but one past your prime. While you are powerful and experienced, capable of fighting great threats, your time is over and it is now your responsibility to forge the younger generation into the saviors of humanity.
You have fought long and hard for many years before your retirement. Saw many comrades die against the darkness beyond the walls of the city, which their faces and shared memories you carry within yourself to this very day. You had gained trophies of your slain foes and kept them to remind you of chaotic and grand battles.
But now that you have stopped the time of youthful adventures, you felt lonely and empty, and thus decided to start your company. As a hero of humanity, you earned much praise and remembered in songs for...
[ ] Your legendary skill with the blade. You owned a blade that you had gained after slaying a monstrous man-eating plant. Your natural talents with weapons and the sharpness of the blade made you a legendary killing machine who had slain the fierce Flaming Troll of Caraphooge Mountain. (Takes 1 week less to train warriors and costs 15% less gold. All warriors start at level 3 rather than level 2)
[ ] Your incredible power and skill with magic. You were an adventurer who had found in the wilderness a library of magic owned by a spirit. You've spent several years there studying lost magic and became a master of the mystic arts, slaying a vampire warlock in a magical duel. (Takes 1 week less to train mages and priests and costs 15% less gold. All mages and priests start at level 3 rather than level 2)
[ ] Your incredible technique and wits. You were a scavenger with quite a talent for using small blades and bows, as well as setting traps and brewing potions. Using these skills you were able to kill an entire clan of goblins, killing them with traps, poison-coated blades and arrow fire. (Takes 1 week less to train hunters and rogues and costs 15% less gold. All hunters and priests start at level 3 rather than level 2)
When you started your company, there was little surprise from the people who knew you and from the general public, who had heard about your tales of heroics in the taverns.
The Anuer, the group who rule over the only city of humanity known as "Dawnaspark", even came to you with the offer to help you set your company up and running, but at the cost of having some control over it.
"We will once in a while tell you where to send your students, to wipe out what we might consider a threat to our city. There are many things that our scouts constantly find that even you have never heard about, therefore we would require for the warriors trained by you to go and deal with it on our behalf. Your order or guild or mercenary company or whatever you decide it will be shall be another sword for humanity to stab into those who desire to harm us. Agree to that, and we will make sure that whatever taxes you will have to pay shall only be up to 50% of their original amount."
That was what they told you when you met them to discuss the topic of your plans to form a company. It was a very tempting opportunity for you, since you only had so much money that you had gained during your many years of adventuring. In the end, you decided to...
[ ] Accept. (taxes on your supplies and your headquarters will be 50% less)
[ ] Refuse.
After talking to the Anuer, you started to come up with what your company was going to be. In all honesty, it all depended on your own intentions. Did you want the younger generation to explore the outside world, destroy the many monsters who wanted to destroy Dawnaspark, gain money to live a rich and comfortable life or life eternally through tales? (Pick 1)
[ ] Adventure: You wanted heroes who desired to explore and learn more of the unknown, young men and women who wanted nothing more than to enjoy the journey until the very end and gain something deeper in their hearts then just gold.
[ ] Gold: You never cared about honor, adventure or saving humanity and neither should your future heroes. You just wanted to make money and have the young heroes enjoy a comfortable life of wealth. After all, what's the point of living if you were poor?
[ ] Family: You were lonely and had an emptiness in your heart. You desired family and you wanted that those around you would feel like family as well. You couldn't care less about gold, glory or purging humanity's enemies. All you wanted was a family.
[ ] Glory: Ever since you were young, you wanted to become a legendary hero. You achieved that dream, but you knew that there were many who wanted to have the same renown that you had. Why shouldn't you help the younger generation become names who are told in tales by tavern bards?
[ ] Protecting Humanity: Ever since you became a hero, you had a fanaticism to protect humanity from those who wanted to harm it, namely the monsters who constantly surround Dawnaspark. Creating this company has reignited that spark inside you and now you wanted to pass it on the the younger generation.
Now that you had your intentions, you now needed to name your company. You decided to go with...
[ ] Write-In company name.
After a few days after you came up with the name of your company, you went around the mega-city of Dawnaspark, spending at least a day looking around within each sector of the city at establishments that could serve as your company's headquarters, though you only decided to invest 2,000 gold into the company at the moment.
Honestly, you were surprised that there were so few buildings available currently, but you acknowledged that that was what available to you with the prices that you wanted to spend.
But what did you decided to pick as the place to serve as your company's headquarters?
[ ] A small and rundown tavern in the Central Sector of the city. It needed some repairs, but it was also had the potential to become a lively headquarters for your heroes to enjoy life, supplying them with booze and make them happier on a daily basis.
Price: 500 Gold.
[ ] An abandoned church in the Outer Ring Sector of the city. It was a nice and small place that could be renovated and built upon further, but there was a small and beautiful shrine that your heroes could pray in. The place was certainly a decent foundation for something bigger.
Price: 420 Gold.
[ ] A small fortress along the large city walls. It was one of the lesser fortresses that were build alongside the walls that kept out the threats to the city, though it was still in a very good condition with plenty of supplies to help keep it running.
Price: 850 gold.
Alright, here is the update and phew, it was quite hard to write (okay, not that hard...), but I had a lot of fun writing it. I hope that you will all enjoy reading it and coming up with plans for these choices.
-[X] Harold Olim
-[X] Your incredible power and skill with magic. You were an adventurer who had found in the wilderness a library of magic owned by a spirit. -[X] An abandoned church in the Outer Ring Sector of the city. It was a nice and small place that could be renovated and built upon further, but there was a small and beautiful shrine that your heroes could pray in. The place was certainly a decent foundation for something bigger.
Abandoned church? Perfect! Nobody to find us and we can chill while the mages find ancient texts and tomes. Enemies will overlook us for now, as we don't seem so intimidating, which leaves us in the [erfect position to overcome them with sheer skill and numbers. Why train priests and magicians? Well if we're goign to be fighting magical ancient evil, what else would we use to overcome them!? Priests+Church sounds like the perfect match to fight the first enemy. Ironic as well. H.E.R.O Incorporated....name sounded alright. Harold Olim, a homage to Hercules (Heracles) from Olympus. It's either between Family or Protecting Humanity, and I feel family has alot more options for social things, and making strong allies.
Thank you for the catch! I totally trust the Anuer, but I don't think giving out our information, location, control over the company, things like that, is in our best interests.
[X] Plan League of it's own.
-[X] Ra Al Ghul
-[X] Your incredible technique and wits. You were a scavenger with quite a talent for using small blades and bows, as well as setting traps and brewing potions. Price: 850 gold.
I know it's the most expensive but the other two just don't fit what I'm going for. Yeah, it's a bit of a copy but I couldn't resist.
