Roll 1d100 got 100! Gain 6 instead of 2.
Walking into the gym, I walk towards the far wall and grab the first weapon I can which is a halberd of sorts, not the most effective weapon, but deadly if used right, just not good in narrow spaces.
Adjusting my stance, I just begin swinging it, 20 horizontal in each direction, vertical is the same, then finally diagonally in all four directions.
Pulling the weapon back, I catch my breath for a moment before I work on thrusting it forward, while it takes more energy it is still part spear, and as such a viable form of attack.
Soon enough I am moving onto a saber and follow the same pattern, Warhammer, dagger, nunchucks, batons, tonfa, and more, I practice with virtually every weapon in the room and let my body naturally shift from one stance to another.
By the time I end, I notice it is already time for dinner, and I started at 6 AM, nearly 12 hours of straight practice, how am I…?
Oh, there is the exhaustion.
I nearly fall flat on my face as my body seemingly gives out on me, but I manage to catch myself with my arms and roll myself onto my back.
Ok, break first, then dinner.
Gained Fighting Expert [Melee weapons], adds 1 damage dice when you land an attack, gain a +10 to hit with any melee weapon.
Walking around the base, I try to find someone to talk to, when I notice a girl with short orange hair, with freckles and a pair of slim glasses on her face, walking over and hazel eyes look at me, she is wearing a simple black t-shirt with wings on the back saying "Fly Free", and dark blue jeans.
"Sup, how can I help you?"
She seems… young, definitely an adult but just barely I believe.
Holding out my hand might as well introduce myself.
"Nice to meet you, I am Fred Addams, I am new here still."
Grabbing it with a firm grip she gives me a small shake.
"Gwen Farlow, nice to meet you."
"So what do you specialize in? I am Melee weapons, Persuasion, and Tactics."
"Little ol me? Vehicles, Unarmed and Demolition."
"Really now? Didn't think we had an explosive expert here."
"Pfft, I am no expert, far from it, I know how to make bombs though, and willing to make them for people for a price."
"And how much is said price?"
"$80 per pipe bomb, $120 for any smoke grenade."
A blatant rip-off but we are criminals, she is likely monopolizing on the fact she is the only skilled person in demolitions as well, I could try to undercut her sure, but best not to make enemies yet, who knows how good she actually is in demolition after all.
Met Gwen Farlow, can purchase Pipe Bombs or Smoke bombs from her at 80 and 120 respectively that are untraceable.
Heading into the command center, I take a seat at an open computer before sliding on a pair of headphones, I learned my mistakes from last time, and might as well listen to some music while I work.
Opening up some hero profiles, I begin to study them, first starting with Slasher, who is apparently now in the hospital for the next week, as even with healing technology, they need to make sure his jaw is set right as Sparky somehow actually broke it.
She has one hell of a hook then, and I make a small note to not get on her bad side.
Digging through all the heroes, I begin trying to memorize them once again, and I treat this as if I am studying for an exam for high school, to get me back into the mentality for studying, the more I can recognize, the more I can prepare to try and counter any powers or tech that they might have.
Knowing is half the battle after all.
Gain +4 to recognizing any Hero in Aznatoth, if you do recognize them, gain a +9 with any plans regarding them.
Regarding other suppliers, at least in the city, I find some for "Armor" which applies to Exo-suits, some shields including the attachable force field emitters, and more, the cheapest one that I can see costs $1500 and can only stop a single pistol bullet, rather pathetic battery as well.
Everyone has to start somewhere though.
I also find a place for Implants just like Slasher, eye implants, leg, arm, shoulder for micro rockets, even nanomachines for healing my body if I get injured… nanomachines are rather pricey as even at the lowest tier, it would cost me 3.5k, but they would increase my survivability.
Lastly would be a place for just "Materials", metal, gold, chemicals, gunpowder, batteries, wires, whatever I could need to build my own gear… if I knew how at least.
Regardless, could be useful for the future, it could also never be useful, based on my research, I only have two more things to investigate based on the files that I see, tools that seem to be all mundane and something likely to be way out of my price range as it is titled "Hero Gear Auction".
Roll 3d5, got 1, 2, 5. Armor, Material, Implants [Low].
Luck Roll: Roll 1d100 got 31+6. Bad Luck hit.
As I walk around the city, I am stopped by a couple of police officers, both men, a smaller one with pale skin, and a taller one with darker skin.
"Excuse me, sir, we are looking for a criminal, can we see some identification please?"
Keep your cool [Deception] DC 40/80/120: Roll 1d100 got 97!+84+8. Largest success, Cops are not suspicious of you at all, fools their cybernetics. Deception rises by 2.
"Alright, my wallet is in my back pocket, give me a second."
Reaching into my pocket I take out my wallet and hand them my ID.
"Fred Addams? Run him real quick Garcia."
He presses the side of his temple as he gazes at my ID.
"He is clean, he was transferred here legally."
Handing me my ID back, I place it into my wallet and slide it into my pocket.
"Sorry for the disturbance Mr. Addams."
"No problem gentleman seems that I just have one of those faces."
"We are looking for a criminal, perhaps you have seen him?"
They project a hologram of my masked face, yet I forgot to cover my eyes, shit.
Internally? I am screaming.
Walking away at an average pace, I realized how bad that could have gone, I don't have a single weapon on me if they tried to arrest me, I don't feel like spending time in jail if I can help it, note to self, let the heat die down more next time.
Walking over to the two of them, I see they are in an argument, as I get within hearing range, Vinny is speaking.
"-lling you that it is a dumbass idea!"
"Oh come on Vinny, it is a good idea."
"What are you two arguing about?"
They both turn to look at me and Vinny speaks first.
"This idiot."
He points directly at Greg who doesn't even look offended.
"Thinks that he can break into a police station and get away scot-free."
"I have the layout, and you admitted my plan was solid."
"That is before you said you would kill a cop! That would bring down a ton of heat Greg."
"It is necessary to open the DNA lock on the chief's office to hook you directly into it."
"There has to be another way!"
"Oh there is, but you aren't exactly fit for fieldwork."
Speaking up, I chime in.
"So what do you need from the chief's office exactly?"
Vinny looks over at me.
"Hm? Oh just need a backdoor on his terminal to allow me to view and give me access to all the files in that station expanding my information network, been trying to figure out a way to get inside the nearby police station for a while."
This… is an opportunity, a risky one, but I might be able to get something out of this.
"So what exactly is your plan Greg?"
He looks over at me.
"Sneak in at 3 AM, it is when the force is at the lightest, we break in through the back, kill one of the cops so we can use enough of their DNA to break into the chief's office as he never configured it to only allow his DNA, we install the flash drive that Vinny made, upload it, crack open the Chief's window and sneak out the back, in and out."
[][Greg & Vinny]

Roll 1d100 got 54 [5 * 0.4 due to training method]. 2 points of progress to Awareness.
Standing in the bunk area, I tie a blindfold around my eyes and begin slowly moving around based on memory, this is actually a lot harder to do than expected, much less walking in an actual straight line, I smack into the beds more than a few times, ignoring the laughing of others.
Honestly, it doesn't even phase me, and so I speak calmly, my mother raised me better.
"If I ever have to deal with a stealth hero I am going to have an edge if they turn out the lights."
The laughter cuts off at that and I hear some guy speak.
"Wait is it actually working?"
"First day of doing this so maybe, but nothing ventured nothing gained if you never try you never know it is going to work."
There is silence for a few moments before a much lighter male's voice speaks up.
"If it works, you will tell us right?"
"Maybe, depends if I am in a good mood, treat others how you wish to be treated."
I feel a few muttering curses under their breath as my lips ever so slightly rise.
You have six actions, anything with a + can be taken multiple times.
