You know what? Somehow Velocity has made himself just... Incredibly unlikeable in less than 1.5 chapters, so fuck him, if the owner doesn't want us there they can say so.

I want to try to get on a path to meeting Danny, and hopefully being able to join the union.

"Hmph!" I turned my back on him with a snort and go straight to the restaurant.
"Ah! Wait!" He tried to call me in, but I don't care.
As I got near the restaurant, I opened it gently while taking note of my acidity. Can't melt this door or else I lower my chance on getting to eat here.
The people inside turned to my way with varied expressions. Some are surprised, others are just shocked, a few seems to be anxious, and there is a handful who took their phone and pointed it at me.
Wait... how to do this. Maybe I should greet them? I think that's good manners, right...?
"Good morning!" I said with as much joy as as I can.
Well, I am happy just by the smell of cooked meat inside this place, so I don't even have to force myself.
I move forward and sit on one of the free chairs there. After that, I waited for a waiter to take my order.
... I don't have money, but I think I can order a Challenger, right?
While thinking like that, one guy who seems to have thick beard and is bit chubby goes near me.
"Welcome. What can I do for you?" He asked me without gawking at my appearance.
"Actually, can I try the Challenger. I don't have any money and I saw that it will be free if I finish it under an hour, and I am very confident I can finish it. So, can I order it, pretty please!" I pleaded.
"... I see." He wrote something in his note. "Okay, be right back." He said before going back to the kitchen.
Wow, he really just took my order!
While that is happening, I look at the large window pane where I can see the outside. I noticed that the rude weirdo didn't follow me inside, though there are many PRT vans currently surrounding this place. Though they are not doing anything other than waiting for something.
I don't know what they are waiting for, and I also don't care!
They are rude. So I will just ignore them, hmph!
It took a bit of a moment before a large plate full of meat, buns, and some lettuce, tomatoes, and cabbages along with a bunch of french fries was put in my table.
"Here is your Challenger. Enjoy." The waiter told me without any fanfare.
It's like he sounds so used about this thing. Like it's not surprising anymore.
Even the people eating here seems to have calmed down, though more and more of them are flashing their phones on my way.
But that doesn't matter. A meal is in front of me. It's time to eat this!

Right. I think I should be careful. I don't want to melt anything here with my acids. So I can't just gobble it up with my whole body.
Then, I should eat it like a normal person then!
With that, I took a handful of fries with my hand and put it all in my mouth. Though, I said mouth, but every part of my body can be turned into a mouth.
Anyway, when I touch those fries, I can already taste it with my hands. When I put it in my mouth and let it be digested within me, the taste spreads through every part of my cell.
Delicious! This is so delicious!~
After taking some fries, I tried the main course. The Challenger.
It's pretty big and can't be held by a normal pair of hands. Because I don't want to scare anyone here, so I think I'll just take it piece by piece.
First is the buns. Then the pile of bacons, meat, and other greasy things in it.
As I took it to my mouth and digest it, their taste spreads on my whole body, letting me recognize every taste within the food.
It was very delicious indeed. Very satisfying!~
Though, I think it is not as delicious as that something from that monster truck. I recall eating something delightful when digesting that whole truck.
Meh... this is still more delicious than the parts of that monster truck though. Much better than steel and junks!
Oh, a flash of light just came from my side. I saw that it was someone who flashed their cameras on my way.
Wait... now that I noticed it, there are a lot of people near me taking pictures of me or just pointing their phones on my way, likely taking a video of me.
They don't mean ill of me so I think this is fine. In fact, it seems like the people here are not that scared of me!
Just by that thought, I can't help but turn a smug look at Velocity's direction.
He is just outside the window, looking at me and it seems like he saw me giving a smug look.

After that single Challenger, the owner (the bearded chubby guy), told me to come back tomorrow if I wanted another one. It seems like he have a surplus of meat and my presence is a way to take care of it.
I ask if I can take another Challenger today but he said he will only give me one per day. He realized that I don't really get stuffed and can eat whenever I want, so he decided to only give me one.
It seems like he is not really scared of me, telling me that he was used to it.
Or in fact, this city seems to be used to Parahuman shenanigans.
As I leave the premises of the restaurant with a large smile on my face, I saw someone getting closer to me.
Oh... it's the prick. Now my mood is ruined.
"What?" I asked the weirdo before could even speak.
"... Oh. Just wanna ask if it's fine for you to come with us now... but it seems like I already burned the bridges already... so how about meeting up sometime?" He asked me.
"Yeah. Whatever. Leave me alone!" I told him with a dismissive wave.
"Okay, fine. Sorry if I am rude..." He said with his hand raised in defeat.
After that, he leaves along with the PRT vans.
It seems like they truly leave me alone. I wonder why they did so?
Maybe because I kept rejecting his offer? Well, I think it's normal to give up if the other party totally hates you!

Anyway, I can see some people still trying to take a picture of me but I decided to ignore them. Most people I encounter seems to be doing that so I don't mind anymore.

So I didn't manage to show it in this chapter, but essentially, Velocity was given an order to pull back for now and try again later.
They decided that you are safe for now and won't get in trouble for at least a single day.
They also think that if you get in trouble, they will have a reason to pull you to their side.
Another factor why they pulled back is because the people on the Lord Market Street learned about you and have taken pictures of you. Currently, you are pretty popular to them.
