I doubt it. Max would have to roll pretty damn high to get an Interlude out of it. Do you remember how Max, Janna, and Vanessa had a trait to work well together? It was taken away because the QMs found it was fairly difficult to write the characters interacting well with each other.

Max's personals that were provided by the QM have a higher chance of doing something relevant.

I'll be honest, I had completely forgotten about that trait. It's been a while, in my defense. So yeah, it probably wouldn't be best for Max to hang out with Vanessa, I'll switch the action out for the Powerline concert.

The DC wouldn't really change much on its own, but having Russ around would give you very different options which could themselves have lower DCs or take advantage of Russ' traits.

Honestly I sometimes wish there were a mechanic for at least sometimes divorcing the Critical Failure and Failure DCs for actions from each other entirely. Because what seems in order here, speculatively speaking, is to convey "this project will take a lot of work to do" as distinct from "this project is spectacularly dangerous and likely to blow up in your faces if you send anything but your very best to do it."

If it makes you feel better, a DC 120 action crit fails on a 60 or lower. Doof+Phineas and Ferb as your best stewardship units have +62. There's literally no chance of critical failure at all.

This plan gets us the time sensitive stuff (Normbots, Hatless man, national treasure) while simultaneously going for the things that we've had in the backburner for too long (seeing our list of potion recipes, musical, recruiting for black ops) and doing key actions for our long-term success (coven, AI, codes, etc.) while also assigning people to actions that I think compelment their character's narrative arcs and would be something they would want to do (Coyote and Monogram).

As for personals, getting Norm something more interesting to do, Mirage to recruit nameless employees which could maybe reduce DCs the same way poaching employees from Kronos Corp did, etc.

it will ALSO unlock the Council for us, which we have been told will help us hit gHigher DC actions. And will be really cool for other mysterious secret reasons.

The last time we were told something like this (that I recall) it was "You're gonna really wish you finished doing NOWCA Earlier."

Also a reminder that last time we crit failed an action that could be repeated, the DC increased by 50. Let's not get impatient and potentially put the coven out of reach, by taking it while it has a higher chance of a crit fail.

Gonna go with this one while it doesn't get us Dingo and has us chasing yet another sidequest from National Treasure when we've already got a full plate this plan is the most on task for furthering our plans.
