[X] Try to get ahold of someone on the bridge to make sure Agnieszka can't leave with Arianne

The problem is, the only one who can convince Agnieszka not to leave is Arianne. She's not doing that, so any chance to resolve this without violence is already blown out the airlock.

Unless Kana can catch up with them by climbing through the section of the ship closest to the outer hull during what sounds like a pitched battle, while injured, not die, and then somehow convince Arianne to entrust her safety to someone other than her violently protective girlfriend, I guess.

What could possibly go wrong?

Let me rephrase that: I want to know what will go wrong, so let's do this.

[X] Keep following them, but don't try too hard to stop them from leaving

I'm fairly confident that any serious attempt to stop Agnieszka from 'protecting' Arianne is the sort of thing that ends with Agnieszka shooting her way out of the station.

Yeah, trying to stop them sounds like an excellent way to escalate things from bad to REALLY BAD.

Slow them down and maybe get an idea before they charge out there and get actually targeted. I don't think we have any good options here, but pissing off our allies while keeping them alive seems to at least stay on theme.

I hope a broken leg isn't something that completely stop us from piloting a mech because the way I see it we won't be able to stop her from getting out and so the next best thing to do would be to get into our own mech to escort her and make sure she'll lives ( even if she shouldn't be in too much danger sinces she's at ace level )

Also Gazetteer I gotta say both of your Petals of stories are great, 10/10 would delete my own memories to have the pleasure of reading them again.

[] Cam dies defending the ship when she hears that we are injured in the maintenance shafts.
[] Cam dies because distracting the bridge leaves an opening in the suppressing fire which causes her to be overwhelmed.
[] Cam dies because Jay ran off after his sister and left Cam alone against the prototype.
...

Let's have something to be mad at Jay over.

Going through the vents is likely to blow Kana up.

Sending someone to stop Agnieszka is likely to blow whatever poor soul we send up.

Plus, this one will get our boss mad at us, which means it is the most Kana choice available.

I find your logic impeccable.

If asked, I'm not sure our command would say 'stop them, even if it gets someone killed' when pressed. Them killing someone, or them being kidnapped for their own safety would probably not be intended.

Plus at this point 'simply failed at a job in hectic situation with no Kana-special extra hassle' is probably better then they expected. Getting mauled trying to fly through maintenance hatches sounds like a Kana-mistake we can avoid for once.

We're officially walking wounded, so they can't get too mad at us for being left behind. Right?

It's Kana, outpacing and stopping a newtype while injured is exactly what they expect. It would be a perfectly reasonable outcome if it would actually annoy our chain-of-command for us to do so. Honestly, if they actually wanted her stopped then they should have demanded that we not cause a diplomatic incident by confronting her. If they had, then we would have been through those maintenance shafts and sitting in her cockpit before they could say "Please, no. Not again...".
