[X] Deliberately interrupt the conversation without waiting to find out what's going on

Other option is OOC.

It's time to halp defuse the situation!

[X] Be cautious, wait to see what the conversation is about before doing anything

It might be OOC, but can we not spot weld ourselves on the shit list of anyone else, please? Because I really don't want to be in our shoes if this blows up, and we're sacrificed to fix it just because we wanted to do something funny.

this option goes against every instinct I have, but hey, we're Kana

"Hi! I brought a friend!"

I am not sure that it is a bad choice per se. It is putting us into the crossfire, but there is a question as to who would be in that position if not us, and what happens if nobody does it. Kana jumping into the fire to save everyone is not nice, but she has some idea of what she is doing, is, compared to almost everyone else here uniquely aware of just how bad things are, and has a vaguely decent relationship with the unpinned grenade.

This is Himegami running in to be a hero in the way that she is best at and enjoys most. This is almost certainly going to be bad for someone, and making that someone P.G. is not a great goal in and of itself, but I expect that she will survive and grow from the experience, even if it means more injury time, or embarrassing herself in front of a crowd of important people, or being the person who insulted the source and ruined the party, or whatever the cost here is. We can't exactly be friends with the tiny unstable murder machine if she is on the hit-list of some of our best enemies-of-our-enemies.

Yeah, my first instinct actually was to vote for interrupting, since "they're not mad at eachother anymore because they're too busy being mad at us" worked pretty well last update. But I dunno, just because it worked then doesn't mean it'll work now. We could end up escalating the situation further than it would've on its own.

Though on the other hand, it seems like things could pop off any second with this. Waiting and seeing could mean we miss our chance to try to intervene.

Time to Kana this in the bud.

Every story Kana has heard about J32 is how impressively violent and volatile she is. Since Tham has called out that she looks like she's about to hurt someone, I don't think it's unwise to try and derail whatever's happening now. Tham getting to meet his sister again is a pretty powerful derail.

If the issue stems from the fact that there are Jays present, well we barely knew these people.

Very on brand, plus I feel like Kana is very good at improvising her way through things and we've got Jay to help.
There's no possible way this could go wrong /s

was originally thinking about the other option, but I've been convinced to this one.
