//Starting up a new quest just to kickstart creative juices again after unintentionally taking a few months of hiatus. I plan to continue a couple other stalled quests of mine in the near future.
//As far as rules and mechanics go this will be relatively simple and straightforward, there's really nothing major worth mentioning here as this is more of a casual thing, and to be honest an informational post probably will not be necessary to start with (though I will reserve a space just in case we need one later.) Only real rule is to have fun.
--------------------------------
You are Giratina.
At the dawn of creation, the Original One, Arceus -- otherwise known as Father -- created both you and your two siblings, Dialga and Palkia. Dialga embodied the concept of Time, while Palkia is the master of Space and Dimensions. Together, your brothers became the source of the space-time continuum and the foundation of the universe as a whole.
Your role, meanwhile, was to act as their antithesis. For the universe to exist, a negative counterpart had to be created to balance and stabilize it. This shadow realm became your domain, and it is a place where the logic behind time and space is warped and twisted beyond comprehension. Appropriately, your domain has since come to be known as the Distortion World.
You also tend to be a bit more aggressive than your siblings, which is part of the reason your father urges you to remain confined to your realm. Honestly, you don't mind your quote unquote "banishment" due to it being the place you feel most at home anyway. Plus, if you really wanted to, you could come and go as you please, though your body must adjust to the different laws of physics outside of your realm...
Despite this ability, you tend not to interfere with the normal plane of existence anyway, being content to merely observe the everyday interactions of the material realm. Every reflective surface in the normal world acts as a window that you can peek through, and it is through these windows that you can exit your realm, provided they are big enough to accommodate you.
Due to the nature of your domain, if anything happens to upset the balance of the normal realm, it will be reflected as damage in yours, and that tends to piss you off immensely. For instance, when that insect Cyrus decided to capture your brothers, you promptly dragged him in here to make his life a living hell.
Unfortunately that plan backfired a bit. While you had hoped that the Distortion World would drive him mad, either from the illogical physics or the isolation, it instead ended up being exactly like the world he intended to create by controlling your brothers. Therefore, he has since taken up residence here... While you could just kill him, he honestly wouldn't be worth the time and effort, and evicting him is out of the question after what he attempted, so you've decided to just leave him to his own devices, hoping that perhaps one day he'll die of an accident, considering that you doubt he would age in the odd timeflow of your realm. At the end of it all, it honestly feels odd to no longer be the Distortion World's sole inhabitant, despite the fact that neither of you have really interacted beyond that first hour...
Anyway, after the incident with Cyrus had passed, you settled back into your role as an observer. However, after seeing similar patterns in what humans and pokemon do throughout the ages, this activity has honestly begun to become a bit stale. It's no wonder that you soon found yourself yearning to see something new: Something different…
Therefore, you initially began to cast your gaze on parallel worlds within Arceus's influence, as they all shared an innate connection with the Distortion World. While many of the alternate outcomes of those timelines were indeed interesting, it wasn't long until they, too, began to become predictable...
Therefore, perhaps you would need to direct your gaze elsewhere to find something interesting. You are well aware that there are universes which exist beyond your father's influence: Ones that he did not have a role in creating. You and Palkia both have the ability to enter them, though in the past father had cautioned you against doing so. On the other hand, considering you know for a fact that Palkia does it on occasion and gets away with it, then perhaps there will be no objections to you doing the same.
Therefore, drawing on your powers, you connect your world of antimatter to its equivalent in another universe, expanding your territory in the process. Once the expansion is complete and the Distortion World stabilizes into a new equilibrium, you gaze into the nearest reflective surface and catch your first glimpse of the new world you've found…
[] You see the inside of a hospital room through a reflection on a window. A raven-haired, human girl rises from the bed with a sharp breath.
[] From the perspective of a stream, you see a girl with amber eyes and black hair washing her face. Upon her head is a peculiar looking bow that seems to occasionally twitch.
[] You see a young girl with purple hair through the perspective of a spherical object in her hands. A shrine maiden, you think.
[] You spot a young blonde man and a small, white-haired girl floating in the air beside him as they walk along the shore of an ocean.
[] You find yourself surprised when you notice that despite your efforts, this world seems to be yet another parallel version of your base universe. Could it be that Father was onto you? And just who is this boy in a red and white hat?
