[X] Strip To Half-Plate: The forges of Ostland have been supplying these three tribes of Albion with heavier armor, chainmail, and fine steel weapons of various sorts. They have taken the plate and such, but apparently have made the choice for this most immediate fight for only half-plate, reducing their weight and encumbrance.

Time for some brawling.

So the heirs artwork, was that painted prior to them boarding the boat during the ostland campaign or was the image captured from their current adventure on avalon?

All this for that sweet Albinese whiskey trade...

On one hand, we want to leverage the Empire's OOC potential to the greatest possible extent against the Fimir ... on the other, this entire island is increasingly sounding like a 40K deathworld; we ignore the advice of its survivors at our peril. Half-plate seems like a decent compromise between the two needs.

I have to vote for it.

[X] Everyone else can strip down to half-plate, Magnus and the Ostlanders will strip down to their bare chests and apply blue warpaint to themselves like their Udoses ancestors!

Sure they might get sick from constant rain, but it would be worth! :p

What is Truesteel? I can't seem to find anything on that in the wiki, alongside the grand majority of fantasy metals that I've seen mentioned in this quest. I only see the names appear from time to time in item descriptions.

Hey if our forces last long enough, maybe the magisters will get some inklings about how Albion's waystone network helps the Great Vortex. :V (And thus understand how important the island is in the fight against chaos)

Not sure, but mentioned that the bridge to Vaul's Anvil is made of the stuff.

Vaul's Anvil

Caledor is the location of Vaul's Anvil, the fiercest of all volcanoes. Upon the blazing black island at the very tail of the Dragon Spine sits the great shrine of Vaul, god of smiths. His temple rests in a great tower of black adamant rising out of the steaming lava within the volcano's crater...

@torroar could the Amber Wizards use the fact they can morph into flying creatures as a means to scout out enemy positions/where mobile oghams are? At moment they are our most mobile units after all.

if the locals say doing something gets you killed by the terrain, then you don't do that thing.

Half-plate is what the lord and nobles are wearing, or chainmail and leathers?

Well lads, looks like we're switching to half-plate.

Related: Lore of Metal can repair metal tools and weapons. If the Colleges gain an interest in Albion excursions it seems Jade, Amber and Gold are going to be immediately excellent.
I mean, they're all excellent, but those three are jumping out to me

If the standard is half-plate, we might be able to supply more half-plate than "wasting" energy on full-plate. Seems we might want to ask to "recycle" rusting half-plate, sending them back to Ostland for Gold Wizard reclamation. Should reduce costs overall, probably

"Lear says that because the Fimir have taken so many of the Ogham, the magic, it is stoppered, eh? Gathered. Clumpy. Bad," the Chieftan spat on the muddy ground. "Have to fix."

Oh shit I just noticed this after re-reading the latest update. It seems that we finally have a good reason kill the Fimir and get those Waystones and other such endeavors!

If we obtain enough of those Stones...Then it might be possible to construct a stable and proper path towards Albion, making it viable to construct some sort of Port City to trade and whatnot.

It's a vaguely defined high elf substance that was introduced back in 7ed I think. It can be forged at Vaul's anvil and Caledor Dragontamer and his descendants use harnesses made from it to tame/ride dragons. There's also a bridge made out of it at Vaul's anvil. Other than that we really don't know much of anything about it.

Hmm I wonder if it would be worth a tactical advantage to write-in that 10% or so of our men still wear full armor. Since for all that it would be hard to use them in normal battles they might be able to play a key moment or role if we use them right on stable ground that the Firmir won't expect.

... not to familiar with Albion, is it supposed to be warhammer canada? wording seems more druidic but the eh's are throwing me off.

Karola is only 10 years old. and is still too young to fully realize just how dangerous the world is. Give her time to grow and learn. Honestly I am like you in agreeing that she is not suited to be the next Elector Count
Say it with me. Chosen of Shallya.:D

I'm not going to be so arrogant as to think we know the conditions better than the locals. Full plate would be amazing but, hell, I don't want to picture fighting in a snarled bog in that garbage. And Fimir like half-water conditions, of which there is no shortage of, and I expect them to stack the deck like the bastards they are.

So speaking of adverse conditions I found something interesting/insanely dangerous that we might be able to apply to our bikes:

Now all we have to do is figure out how to make it safer. Maybe rig some kind of sheathe for the blade to the seat so that when there's weight on the seat the blade pops out the bottom of it and when there's weight off the seat it slides back into it. That and the men should probably armor up their legs.
