Heh, if you had voted the Dusk option, you would have shaken them at the officer like a cross to ward off a vampire...

That's kinda like the secret "magic spells" Sovereign Citizens wave when dealing with "the law".

It doesn't work and the only thing you do accomplish is aggravating and annoying someone who probably doesn't want to deal with any bullshit whatsoever.

    You politely greet the officer.

    He stares at you.

    Normally this kind of thing would be awkwardly uncomfortable...

    Argus unaffected!
    But you are you, and dealing with your teacher has made you resistant to such tactics!

    Still, you aren't used to dealing with people on the whole, so you gird yourself against whatever mind bending tactics this man of the law might use.

    You are prepared for anything!

    The officer is unimpressed, as he drawls, "Might I ask you where you were last night?"
    Officer Provokes: 4,6,7,10 = 3 successes
    Argus Laugh It Off: 1,2 = critical fail

    The bear. The music. Suddenly you are hit by everything all at once.

    A moment of weakness, you can't help yourself. You breakdown, yammering, burbling, just pouring yourself out to this stranger.

    Not just the fight, but before as well. You are lost, alone and isolated on this strange world with nothing but what you carried on your back and in your head.

    You don't know what you are doing anymore, you don't have any kind of idea what to do, you aren't sure what you can do.

    Your only comfort is that you have Dusk beside you...

    You are barely aware of the hand on your shoulder, blindly taking the offered handkerchief and blowing your nose. You don't comprehend what he's saying but the voice is soothing and Dusk is at your side.

    You aren't sure how much time has passed but by the time you've pulled yourself together, the sun is well up, and the Officer ("The name is Issac McMilliken") is sitting right beside you. You feel wrung out and drained and you face the all important question.

    Now what?

    Officer McMilliken opens his mouth, though he seems a bit hesitant, "Well, I've got some ideas..."

    McMilliken: 2,9,10,10 = 5 successes

    It's liked you blinked and found yourself somewhere else. An unfortunately familiar situation. You seem to have gone from your little campsite to standing in front of a room full of kids your own age, with a stranger asking you to introduce yourself.
    Dusk Fast Talk: 8,9,10 = 4 successes
    Thankfully Dusk somehow managed to talk his way into being allowed to go with you.

    Somehow.

    You aren't sure how McMilliken talked you into this, or talked you into staying with him, but you are here now.

    Time to make a splash.

    Good golly was I torn between the two options but this one won out for now might change it later though

    I don't know what Officer McMilliken is being paid but it should be doubled. This man is a miracle worker.
