Act 3, Scene 18 - Halt and Catch Fire
Olena turns to the rest of you, "I can purge the security protocols I think if I can patch through to Armas."

You arch an eyebrow at that. "Can you even do that down here?"

"That, I'm fairly sure of," Olena replies patting the console before adding with a frown, "Assuming this AI doesn't take mind me borrowing some hardware."

"Well, make it fast," you shout back as you take aim. Fortunately for the lot of you they've only got one way in. That also means the mechanical racket echoing down the sole hallway would likely unnerve a less experienced Huntress, "These things sound pissed."

"Tell me something I don't know!" Olena shouts back as digs into the terminal, yanking out wires as she… does something with her scroll. Not far from her, Bianca is falling back into a better position. You blink in surprise as a moment later she all but vanishes out of sight, melting into the shadows. Impressive, especially given her hat.

Your attention moves back to the front as the first of the crab-bots emerge from the shadows… and are promptly met with a barrage of fully-automatic fire as your smallest teammate lets loose. The suppressing fire slows the bots down, and gives you plenty of time to line up your own shots.

Unfortunately for you, the crabs are skittery little bastards and a shotgun is not a precision instrument. Well, your's isn't. It's still enough to send the robots running, albeit not very far. They're still close enough to open fire though, and their aim is annoyingly good. Everyone is sent dodging around as high-velocity rounds ricochet off the floor in a shower of sparks. Olena swears loudly as she ducks down by her console, "Would you please do something about that!?"

"Working on it!" you shout back, grabbing your shield and start moving. Fire in one hand, you fire at the growing swarm of machines occupying the front of the room. Your shotgun booms, to little impact at first but a quick moment to adjust the choke on your weapon before firing again to terrifying effect. You're quite glad you took the time to tune your weapon before coming out here. "Come on!" you shout at the crabs, "You wanna hit me then hit me!" Bianca takes advantage of your distraction to flank around the side. Tawny goes for a more direct approach - the walking toasters are too busy dealing with a metal-plated juggernaut and a missing target to notice the gunner taking aim until two of them get ripped to shreds by bursts of automatic fire. The survivors scatter as best they can.

"-re live!" a tinny voice crackles in your ear suddenly and it takes you a moment to place it.

"Aurelia?" you shout over the sound of gunfire, "Why are you on this line?"

"Easier to patch her into the main circuit instead of making a new one," Olena replies over the same line, "Deal with it."

"Fair enough," you reply as you duck behind your shield a moment before you hear the telltale pings of rounds bouncing off it. The fire cuts off as Tawny opens fire. "How long?"

"To fix this?" Aurelia replies, "twenty, maybe thirty minutes."

"Can't you go faster?" you ask as you dodge another wave of gunfire.

"Easy for you to say!" Aurelia shoots back, "I haven't seen security like this since I hacked into the ACEOPs mainframe."

"You hacked a Vale military server!?" you wince at Olena's sudden, partially-strangled shout.

"I was sixteen! It was on a dare!" Aurelia replies, "Can we focus please?"

"Please," Olena replies quickly, "I could use some- crap!" you and Olena both see it at the same time - a squad of the crabs taking aim at Olena and the central console. Both of you reply in similar ways - you ready your shields. But yours is bigger.

You brace yourself against the upcoming fire, and your failure to move seems to just draw more fire. The lack of fire on everyone else gives the others a chance to move - in Tawny's case, straight up. Bianca's move is less subtle - by virtue of the fact that she's shooting at the bastards. Unfortunately, her first shot goes wide. You can hear her swear over the radio as she dodges out of the way of the volley of return fire, taking her own shots as she ducks in and out from behind cover until a massive explosion rocks the entire building and sends several of the crabs tumbling. It seems your backup is getting in on the action.

Hopefully there'd still be a few of them left after all of this.

You keep yourself planted between the crabs and Olena as she frantically works, "How's it going?" You ask as the others dodge around incoming waves of bullets. Tawny in particular seems to be giving them problems as the crabs frantically skitter about to try and elevate their guns enough to actually get a bead on the ceiling-bound huntress.

"We've cracked through the preliminary firewalls and have isolated the memory sec-" Aurelia starts before Olena cuts her off.

"It's going; still need more time." Olena quickly summarizes, "Now let us work dammit!"

You back off without another word. You have your own task to attend to.

Everyone seems to settle into a groove as the fight presses on. Tawny's height advantage gives her easy line of sight on the entire swarm while Bianca darts in and out of fights, punching holes through the machines with pistol shots or simply skewering them on a variety of lances, spears and similar polearms when she isn't simply smashing them with a axe. You wholeheartedly approve.

You're doing a fair bit of damage, but unfortunately it seems that the AI has the advantage in the number department. The crabs are more than happy to climb over the wrecks of their predecessors as they advance on you.

"Olena!" You shout as you shoot a drone that managed to get far closer then you'd like, "Today would be good!"

"Gimme a second!" Olena shouts back. You glance back to see her fingers flying over the keyboard, the holographic interface flashing like a strobe light. "Almost there… now!" She hits one final key with flourish, and suddenly everything in the room goes dead - the lights, the computers… even the air conditioning you hadn't even realized was running putters out. The only light comes from the dozens of baleful red lights of the now-frozen machines.

After a long, silent, several seconds the central computing tower blinks back on. "Safety interlocks disengaged;" The AI announces in its familiar monotone, "Commencing Security Override. System reboot in three, two, one-"

The computing towers around you roar back to life as the swarm of machines crumple to the ground, lights flickering out as they collapse. You slowly lower your shield as you glance around, carefully nudging one of the nearby machines. "...Huh. Well then - good work Olena."

"Thanks, but it was mostly Aurelia," the silver-haired huntress replies.

"And I would never have been able to work if you hadn't patched me in," Aurelia replies over the circuit.

"Let's save the congratulations for after we get out of here, alright?" Bianca replies, dusting off her hat before re-donning it, "Because I am sick of these basements.

Well, that was something you all agreed on, it seems.

Back on the surface, things are a proper mess - the machines and AI-controlled Grimm had tried to come at you from a second angle, it seems. Fortunately it looks like the camp had managed to hold them off until you'd finished. Marchenwald, when you finally find her, looks tired but content. "I take it your mission was a success?"

"No, the AI hacked our brains," you reply with a shrug, "We've been sent here to negotiate terms of- ow!" you're spiel is cut off as Olena smacks you in the back of the head.

"Yes, we were successful," Olena says with a sigh of what you guess is relief, "The AI should be willing to help you from now on. I'll show you how to talk to it."

"Singe and some of the civilians as well," Marchenwald says with a nod, "It would be best to avoid dependency on one or two people…"

The rest of the day is spent helping get things situated now that they weren't all expecting to die horribly in the night. While they couldn't exactly give you a party, the promise of sending some supplies back your way now and then was just as good in your opinion.

It's evening by the time the time the three of you set out to finally head back to base. Most people would be worried about traversing a monster-infested flaming city at night, but most people weren't Huntresses.

You were just outside the campus when you heard somebody calling out to you, you turned to see one of the Hunters from the camp jogging toward you. Looks like somebody wants to expand their horizons.

((Act 3 complete - New allies obtained; New Support line obtained; New base/safe zone obtained.))

Who's looking to join your team?
[ ] Bianca Wolfhart - While the safety net and supplies were nice, there's only so long a former criminal can work under somebody like Marchenwald.
[ ] Edelweiss Marchenwald - With the refugee camp secure and stable, Marchenwald is looking for a chance to help more people in the city; throwing in with you seems like the best bet.
[ ] Nova Singe - There wasn't much more he could do at the camp, and to be fair you lot seem more likely to be getting into fights then the refugees.

((Bonus points - work out a RWBY rules-complaint team name))

Team SDOW (Shadow. S from Tawny Sweets, D from Olena Domovoy, O from Viveka Ormanda, W from Bianca Wolfhart... Oh hey, that's all surnames, what a coincidence).

The irony, of course, is that Viveka would much prefer charging out of the shadows than staying in them. :V

I'm confused, is Aurelia staying with the civilians?
Or is the team increasing to 5?

Thanks!

Team SDOW is a solid pull!

The best I can do is Team OBVT, Obviate.

Well, that seems pretty clear. Hat wins. Next update this weekend... or early February, depending on what work decides to do to me.

Act 4, Scene 1 - Professionals have Standards
You arch an eyebrow as the familiar white hat approaches, along with its sharply dressed wearer. "We forget something."

The well-dressed fanus slows down as she approaches, coming to a stop in front of you, "Figured I could do more out here then pacing around some office building, besides," she glances back toward laboratories, "Without something trying to eat our faces, I'm not sure how long me and Marchenwald could stand each other."

Well, you aren't going to turn down more help, "Well then, welcome to-"

"Aren't you a former thief?" Olena cuts in, before glancing toward you, "Given who we're trying to find, I'm not sure showing up with somebody of such a background is a good idea."

Bianca arches an eyebrow, "Weren't you looting the place the whole time?"

Olena flushes at that, but manages to sputter a reply, "That's not theft! That's reclamation! It's completely different!"

Bianca waves a hand dismissively as she strolls past Olena, "Sure it is, sweetheart. Whatever helps you sleep I guess."

Olena looks like she's about to shoot off another retort but stops when you put a hand on her shoulder, "Relax - it'll be fine. Probably." you pull your hand back as you languidly stretch it over your head, "Besides, if she has a problem with that she's not gonna be happy about any of us."

Olena grumbles something but nonetheless pushes forward, leaving you and Tawny to watch the other two move ahead. You turn to the smaller girl before ruffling her hair with a grin, "Looks like we've finally got a full team. And all girls too."

Tawny gives a small 'eep' at the sudden attention, but manages a reply, "Ah, yes. All girl's is… nice…" her words trail off as her face suddenly turns red.

You lean closer, studying the brunette with a frown, "You okay? You look flushed."

"Fine!" she squeaks, slipping out from under your hand quickly, "I'm fine! Just... tired. Yes, tired."

Well, you can't have that. Tawny gives a small 'eep' as you sweep her off her feet and into your arms, "You take a load off then, let me handle the walking." Tawny just nods silently as you quickly catch up with the others. The others give you some… interesting looks, but you don't pay them any mind.

The sun was rising over the skyline, morning rays cutting through the smoke and ashes. It had been… Three? Four days since you'd gone into that campus? Less? More? Maybe more. It felt like more. However long it was, it was long enough that you couldn't help but grin and pick up your pace as the somewhat-damaged modernist facade of the Cultural Center came into view. "Nice place," Bianca quips as you all near the entrance.

"Yup," you nod with a grin as you approach the heavy roll-down cargo door tucked along the side, "We've got it all - net access, couches, kitchenette, piles of pilfered gear, and a bunch of wrecked murderbots in the basement!"

Bianca blinks at that, "wait, what?"

You don't reply as you grab the bottom of the door and try and lift. The door does not budge. You frown at the door before turning to Olena, "Were we supposed to grab a key on the way out or something?"

Olena rolls her eyes, "Or we can just call Aurelia."

The answer turns out to be moot as a speaker overhead crackles to life, "Who or whatever you are, you have twenty seconds before I set you on fire."

You blink owlishly as you stare up at the speaker, "Uh, Aurelia - it's us."

"...oh." There's a brief pause and the sound of typing before there's a loud buzz and the door starts to slowly open, "Sorry - scavengers have started sniffing around. Keep triggering perimeter sensors."

"It's fine," you say with a shrug as you walk forward, "Not the worst death threat I've had."

The four of you walk into the cargo loading bay, the dim orange of back-up lighting bathing the concrete and steel garage as the door loudly rolls shut behind you. Bianca eyes an abandoned truck trailer as you walk past, "Surprised you've got a place like this to yourself."

"Well, it was a little occupied when we got here," you explain as you take point, half paying attention to the halls and turns you're taking as you talk, "Whole place was lousy with baddies. Especially the atrium. Big ol' rogue paladin. Put up a real good fight, but I got it in the end. Perfect way to shake the rust off, you know? Also made a good warm-up after the crash."

Bianca blinks owlishly, "Crash?"

"Oh, yeah," you nod as you reach the door to Administrative Control, "Me and Aurelia were flying in and- OW!" You're cut off as what you're pretty sure was a wrench bounces off your head. You recoil briefly, Aura already healing the little damage it did before turning to the thrower, "Aurelia! The fuck?"

"You idiot!" Aurelia shoots back, "Days out in the field and the only time you check in is when it's life-or-death issues you need me to bail you out of!"

"You could have called us," you retort as you drop into one of the nearby chairs. Aurelia is seated across the room at a smaller table, a portable terminal in parts spread across it along with… a pistol?

She points menacingly in your direction with a screwdriver, "First rule of Operations Support - never call field operators unless you know they're in a safe location," she lowers the screwdriver as she starts reassembling the device, "And since you never established where the safe zones were…" she pauses as she looks past you. You follow her gaze to a slightly smirking Bianca, "Who's your friend?"

You walk back over to your newly acquired teammate, dropping one hand onto her shoulder. She stumbles slightly at the sudden gesture, but you simply grin at Aurelia, "Aurelia, Bianca Wolfhart. Bianca - Aurelia Armas, our resident hack."

"Hacker," Aurelia corrects you with a sigh as she stands up, "I am a hacker," she studies Bianca with a frown before saying, "You look familiar. Have we worked together before?"

Bianca arches an eyebrow before a grin slowly grows on her face, "No, I don't think so - maybe I slept with you once? You look like my type." You hear a sudden spray of water from somewhere behind you, followed closely by a string of swearing. From a different direction, you just hear a surprised squeak. You glance back to see Olena at the sink, a glass in one hand as she angrily tries to wipe off her now wet blouse. Across from her, Tawny is just staring at the three of you, eyes wide.

Aurelia, for her part, just stares in surprise before giving a bark of laughter. That… wasn't what you expected. Aurelia for her part adjusts her glasses as she studies the Fanus, "I think I'd remember sleeping with somebody with such nice legs," Aurelia replies, a small smile on her face as her eyes shift upward, "or such a nice hat."

"Glad to see you've finally rel-" you start to say before Aurelia jams a finger in your face.

"I'm still annoyed with you," she states sharply, "I've seen how you work; I have little doubt you were calling the shots out there." She looks at Olena and Tawny, who briefly glance at each other before turning back to Aurelia and shrugging.

"To be fair," Olena says as she starts digging through the kitchenette, "Her plans usually work out… somehow," She grimaces as she pulls out a bottle of some sort of brightly colored sports drink, "As hard as that is to admit."

"We can debrief later," Aurelia says as she turns and walks away, "For now, clean up and get some food. I found some concession store rooms while you were gone. Nothing substantial, but its variety - snack bars, chips, a few boxes of cookies-"

Whatever she was going to say next was cut off as you promptly tackle-hug her, "I'm sorry I ever doubted you and I'll love you forever!" you babble happily as the blonde tech specialist squirms in your bear-hug, "where are they?"

"The pantry! The pantry!" She quickly replies, "So let me-" You don't hear the rest as you bolt for the pantry. In moments, you've found the case and have plucked out a few packages. Ah - Variety packs. Even better. You drop yourself into a nearby chair as you rip open a package and start popping the sweet little morsels into your mouth.

It was good to be back.

A (somewhat) warm meal, a shower and some sleep were just what you needed after that fiasco. Especially because you were certain Aurelia was going to push you to get on with your actual mission. Speaking of Aurelia, you found the blonde already up when you shambled down the hall and into the kitchenette. She was sitting at the table by one of the windows, sipping coffee as she flipped through some sort of oversized paperback novel. You drop down into the chair across from her after grabbing a meal bar. "So… what happened in the hallway?" You'd seen some burn marks on your way over.

Aurelia doesn't look up from her book, turning the page as she replies, "I killed a Grimm while you were gone."

You blink at that, glancing between the hall and the blonde before grinning at the other woman, "Nice."

"Still not something I'm willing to experience again, if I can help it," she replies, glancing up at you, "I don't have an Aura, after all."

"Ah, yeah," you reply with a nod, "That would be a problem," You let the sentence trail off, and Aurelia makes no move to continue the conversation as you bite chunks off of your simple breakfast. It's not a bad silence, just a quiet morning in the middle of a disaster zone. Still, after a while you can't help but speak up again, "You know, seem more relaxed than before."

That actually causes her to pause in her reading, hand hovering mid page-turn before she closes the book with a sigh, "I'd taken this assignment expecting… I dunno," She shrugs, "I'd thought I'd be able to keep my distance. I'm just tech support, after all. When we crashed…" her gaze had drifted to the ceiling, staring off into the distance as she spoke, "I was angry, more than anything. I wasn't supposed to be here. Even after we got set up here, I was still trying to figure out what I'd done to earn this. Stranded in a disaster zone, surrounded by things that wanted to eat me."

"So, what changed?" You ask, arching an eyebrow.

She looks at you before shrugging, "I killed the Grimm," When you just give her a look, she continues, "I decided I was better off working with what I got then trying to work with a dead plan."

You grin as you nod, "A good mindset. Plans are always best when they're flexible."

Aurelia rolls her eyes as she goes back to her book, "You don't have plans, you have bursts of creatively-applied insanity."

Well, you couldn't argue with that, "So - what's the insanity this time?"

"I'll tell you when the other's wake-up," Aurelia replies. You pout at that, but Aurelia is unmoved, so you're stuck waiting.

Olena is the first to show up, her clothes crisp and not a hair out of place - and she immediately beelines for the coffee pot on the counter, "Just so you know," Aurelia chimes in as she sips her own mug, "It's instant coffee and I'm pretty sure it was a week out of date."

Olena pauses, pot in one hand and a slightly chipped coffee mug in the other, "Does it have caffeine?"

Aurelia arches an eyebrow, "Yes?"

"Good enough," Olena says as she proceeds to pour herself a cup, "Sugar?"

"Second shelf," Aurelia answers as your newest addition walks in, surprisingly sans hat.

Bianca's lupine ears twitch slightly as she walks in, a frown on her face, "Who burned the coffee?"

"If you don't want any, I can work with that," Olena says with a shrug as she - wait, had she already finished her first cup?

"You've got quite the caffeine habit there," you say with a grin.

The silver-haired huntress simply glares as you levelly as she starts on her second mug at an apparently slower pace then her first, "Better than your sugar habit, Ormada."

"Oh, don't be like that," Bianca says as she gets her own coffee before dropping into the seat next to you and leaning close, "It just makes her more huggable."

You frown, "I think you just called me fat."

"No, that was Olena," Bianca replies as she sips her coffee, "I said it made you huggable. Speaking of - where's the small one?"

Good question, "Lemme go check. Anyone know which room she crashed in?"

"Reference library, I think," Aurelia replies, waving vaguely in one direction, "Down the hall on the right." You give her a nod as you rise out of your chair and head out into the hallway. A light drizzle had started outside, the sort that always seems to follow after really big fires. You guess an entire city going up counts.

You head down the hall, passing a few generic meeting rooms before reaching one labeled 'References Library' by a plaque next to the door. As quietly as you can manage, you push the door open. Inside is a modestly sized room, made to feel smaller by the book cases along the walls and running down the center. You can just make out the edge of a couch tucked into the back, shoved up against the only wall not completely covered in book cases, and you just catch a hint of something on said couch moving.

You quietly pad closer until the form on the couch comes fully into view. Tawny was curled up on the couch, her massive coat half-draped over her like a blanket. Out of her puffy coat, the girl looked incredibly small. A dark-colored blouse leaves her delicate, pale limbs exposed as she hugs a tan-colored brush of fur to her chest.

You idly wonder if Aurelia knows how many fanus are on your little team at this point as you gently nudge the girl, "Tawny, time to get up."

Tawny just mumbles something in response, turning over on the couch before grabbing your arm and pulling you closer. With a frown, you try and pull your arm free, but the small huntress simply transfers her grip to your waist.

Well, you can work with that.

It takes some careful wiggling and a bit of prodding, but you eventually end up with a Tawny-shaped limpet attached to your side. Picking up her coat with one hand and supporting her with the other (not that she seemed to need it; girl had a serious grip…), you carefully make your way back out into the hall, mindful of your new cargo. You get a couple of looks as you walk back into the impromptu meeting area. Olena and Aurelia give you similarly questioning looks, raised eyebrow and all. Bianca looks far more amused. Especially when, once you sit down, Tawny shifts her way into your lap before cuddling closer.

Apparently, you make a really good bed.

The petite gun user snuggles closer to you. Usually, in her current position, she'd be rubbing her cheek against the cold steel of a reinforced chest plate. Fortunately for her, even you don't sleep in your armor.

Usually.

You ignore somebody's amused chuckling as you gently prod Tawny, "Hey, come on - time to wake up." Nope, nothing. You sigh as you look around the table for anything that might - aha. "Coffee," you demand of Aurelia, "Gimme,"

She frowns at you but hands the mug over nonetheless, "I want that back."

You make some noncommittal sounds in reply as you wave the coffee under the smaller girl's nose, "Rise and Shine, miss Sweets…" With a grumble and a twitch of her nose, Tawny slowly wakes, blinking blearily as she stares up at you with unfocused eyes. "Morning," you say with a smile, "Sleep well?"

Tawny just smiles sleepily and nods, head still resting against you before the reality of her situation sinks in. She jolts back, looking around rapidly before her gaze locks onto her face. At this close range you have an excellent view of the color draining from her face before the girl bolts skyward, all the way up to the roof. "Yup," Bianca quips as she looks up at the girl with a grin, "She's awake."

Aurelia shoo's Bianca back as she walks around the table, looking up at Tawny, "You okay, Tawny?"

"Just, um, need a minute," Tawny mumbles back, clinging to a light fixture.

"Take your time," Aurelia replies, "I'll get you some coffee in the meantime,"

"Aren't you sweet," Bianca teases, getting a glare in reply as Olena settles into a seat next to you.

The silver-haired huntress watches Tawny slowly drift groundward as she leans close to you and whispers, "Why were you carrying her, anyhow?"

"It was her idea," at Olena's flat stare, you continue, "It was! Sort of. I tried to wake her up and she just… latched on."

"And you just went with it?" Olena asks quietly as across from you, Tawny settles into an open chair just as Aurelia sets a mug of coffee in front of her. Tawny took the mug with a small 'thank you' before taking a small sip. She grimaces almost immediately before reaching for the sweetener and dumping a healthy portion into her mug.

You just shrug at the question as Aurelia walks around the table, dropping data shards in front of each of you, "I assume all of you still have your scrolls?" She asks as she drops one in front of you, grabbing Tawny's coat as she walks past.

"Sure, not that it's much worth," Bianca replies, picking up and studying the chip with one hand as she pulls her scroll out with the other.

"Easier than trying to print all of this out," Aurelia replies as she walks around the other side, dropping Tawny's coat over the girls shoulders as she also drops a shard in front of her. With all the shards passed out, Aurelia drops into her seat at the head of the small table before pulling out her own scroll and sliding it across the table. Once it comes to a stop it springs to life, a ghostly floating diagram of what looks like a shopping complex materializing mid-air. "The 3000 block of Soleil Avenue - better known as one of the most expensive shopping districts in Vale. The three-block stretch and its surrounding side roads were home to clothing boutiques, jewelry shops, and banks, among other establishments. Now?" Aurelia reaches over to tap her scroll, and at her touch a gallery of images begin to float around the virtual diorama. Once eye-catching storefronts were reduced to rubble, windows smashed out and walls crater-marked, "Now, it's a disaster zone, even by current standards. Rogue mech systems are present in high numbers - current theory is that they're looking to take advantage of the data lines running from some of the banks and tech-related stores to expand their network throughput."

Olena leans in closer, studying the images intensely, "How long have they been in there?"

"Best we can tell?" Aurelia replies with a shrug, "Since the city fell, or close enough. The place was packed for the Vytal festival, and Atlas sent in units to protect civilians. When they turned…"

"They already owned the place," Bianca finishes for her, "Nice."

"On the plus side," you comment, "No worries about collateral damage."

"Says you," Olena grumbles before adding more loudly, "So, where are we going in here?"

Aurelia nods as she taps the phone again, causing the display to focus on one building, off the main street, "A Dust exchange office just off the main road and about half-way down the block. Given the building failures in the surrounding areas, approach paths are limited. Given the nature of the communications systems involved here, Goodwitch is most likely at or near the top of the building."

"And… if she's not?" Tawny asks as she finishes refastening her coat.

"Then we poke around until we find her," you say with a shrug, studying the pictures before you spot something, "Wait, what's that?"

Aurelia raises an eyebrow as you lean forward, trying to move the image back around, but your hand simply passes through the ghostly images. She flicks a finger across the screen, manipulating the display, "What's what?"

"I thought I saw a - ah, there!" you exclaim as you jab a finger at - and through - one image. Everyone leans in close, and when you pull your hand away you can just make out an irregularly shaped blob at the bottom corner of the picture, paler than the rest of the image and blurred as it seems to be mid-motion toward an alley, "A person, maybe?"

"How old are these pictures?" Olena asks.

"Four to ten days," Aurelia quickly replies as she plucks up her scroll, the display suddenly flickering out as she rapidly starts poking at the small device, "Drone surveys hadn't detected any notable thermal signatures outside the mechs, but with all the smoke and fires…" she pauses as she studies the small screen before turning to the rest of you, "This changes things… but not by much. If you come across any survivors, aid them if at all possible."

Tawny begins to nod vigorously, while you nod more sedately. Olena has already pulled out her scroll and started studying her own copy of the files while Bianca is studying Aurelia, "Figure that would be a given, since we're Huntresses and all."

"Yes, well…" Aurelia doesn't look up from her scroll as she speaks, "Some things bear repeating," she rises from her seat, scroll still in hand as she looks across at the four of you, "I'll attempt to see if I can find out any more recent intelligence on the area. I will leave you to prepare." With a final nod, she turns and heads back to the control center.

Briefing over, you look across at the others. What to do now?

[ ] Dig through the Intel with Aurelia.
[ ] You and Olena are the only one's with armor; time to make sure it's up to the task.
[ ] Drag Tawny over to the ammo supply and start looking at loading options for Fire and Spice
[ ] Head to the roof, grab some air, and maybe blast a few noisy Grimm. You think you saw Bianca head that way anyhow.
[ ] Forget all of them! You'll do your own thing. (Write-in)

...Tawny is adorable but lets leave her be for a bit to calm down...

[X] Dig through the Intel with Aurelia.
