FMA Brotherhood: Wahrheit (Current Arc: A Small Peace)

A whistleblower during the Ishval Massacre? Surely this won't paint a massive target on our backs. :V
Whoes to say that it won't already be there?

After all, if Bradly published a public order to remove any ishvalan soldiers from the ranks so that they could be exterminated... well... You know the rest.

the only thing going for us is that we don't look like an Ishvalan.

It's just like they say, you know you've made it as a reporter when the CIA/FBI Amestris Central Command has a file on you.

In story maybe, but it was certainly a fitting ending for the Elric bros story and charecter arcs. Especially Edwards.

And it was a very cathartic end that I still find extremely satisfying.

and for a story, especially an ending, that matters a lot. (Looking at You Game of Thrones)

Well... Greed Ran off... so there's that.

I liked Al's ending. It felt poetic the way he gave himself up and became one with the body Ed had been trying to rescue, but knowing his brother would come back for him.

But... Ed giving up his alchemy didn't feel like a good way to do that.

Either using a philosopher's stone is the destruction of human souls, and using them is the worst action imaginable, or it's just energy which releases human souls.

Either way, keeping a philosopher's stone like Ling does in order to use over time should not be treated as lightly as it is in the show. The solution should be to unmake them in a way that spares the souls if at all possible.

Ling or Hohenheim (especially Hohenheim) should be the one to bring Al back if it's ethical to use human souls. If it's not, Ed's sacrifice is fair, but they should have released the human souls.

I'm not going to say much except that FMA:B is possibly one of the best stories that have come out in the last 20 years (Well, the Anime that is), and that the ending is actually rather appropriate, not for the world itself, but the characters that inhabit it.

Ed sought to solve all his problems with Alchemy, even though it caused his problems in the first place. Him giving up that power, and decided to do things without it certainly seems like its a price an individual should pay to get something in return.

Truth doesn't operate on set values that we know... he seems to operate differently for each person, and knows much more than we ever know.

That's how I see it anyway.
