"Peace is always a lie, when it comes down to it,"
This is honestly a highlight of the update to me.
Like, Nyx explains the situation through the lens of Sith philosophy, and it makes a lot of sense.
There are two diametrically opposing interpretations of the Sith Code in the EU, actually. One faction consists of control freaks, trying to always acquire more power to have control over their lives. And the other faction kinda interprets it like control is an illusion, and they should strive for more power because it's a goal in on itself.
I guess we know which faction Nyx belongs to.
You hunch awkwardly in on yourself, taking a long sip of your hot chocolate. It's cool enough, now. "But, um... wasn't she like, inspirational to you and stuff?"
"Yes," Nyx agrees, "and she will be again, once she's properly dead and no longer haunting my daughter."
"Charming," says Imperius, examining her nails. Even though they're ghost nails and they probably can't get anything underneath them, so why is that even necessary, other than to annoy you?
I live for this shit.
You told me this already, what her reaction will be, but seeing it firsthand is so worth the occasional Sith possession and whatnot.
[X] Well, at least you'll have Imperius with you
I know this will never be more than an odd friendship of two intertwined souls sharing one body, and I'm fucking here for it.
This buddy cop show can have thirty seasons, and I'll watch them all!
Also, my second pick, Brenby, is in possession of a dangerous artifact that a very pissed off Sith Lord is hunting for.
Which means we'll completely coincidentally meet him once again in another part of the Galaxy. This stuff needs proper setup.
