[X] You need to stick to the plan. You'll go to the gym to deal with their leader and Hiroko. But you'll leave either Hose or Ritsuko in charge. You're sure one of them can handle things from here...you hope.
- [X] Put Hose in charge. He is a senior in the Martial Arts Club. He's probably got experience leading others.

Time to attempt our second spirit bonding with Hiroko by deplomancy. Would be best to not do it with Ritsuko there.

Honestly I'm against revealing the supernatural to Ritsuko right now. Feels way too early in the story to me and, honestly, we don't actually know her all that well. We've had all of one fight with her, and we know she's a better person than her brother (low bar that...), but basically little beyond that.

Also bringing a fresh uninformed normie to a potential fight with a Kumiho, no matter how tough she is, is just asking for trouble. Considering Ritsuko's personality it's also just as likely to set off a fight we could've avoided. It's just a bad time to go doing this basically on a whim to me.

Yeah, let's not reveal the supernatural to someone that we've only have known for a couple of days, that will come later, but it's just too early for that.

I think it'll work out alright. Ritsuko is part of our Gang now, she will encounter the supernatural sooner or later. Might as well have it be now, when the lines aren't blurred and the obvious course of action is, well, obvious. That, and I'm hoping she'll be able to make a pact and maybe even befriend Hiroko after the inevitable fight.

As for Ritsuko getting hurt, I don't think it's very likely. She is a very good fighter and, if worst comes to worst, she'll at least be able to be our backup. Ritsuko can take care of other normies while we take care of the murderous fox spirit.

Does she have the potential to sabotage diplomancy? Yeah, but I don't like our odds of pulling it off to begin with. Our speech skills are rather mediocre, even if we focused on training up our empathy.

TL;DR: let's take her with us for fun and adventure. Ritsuko can take care of herself, take care of other normies and just do her thing of being cool.

"And you are Nagai Hayato, correct?" the girl, Fujuki, flips her matching locks while staring up at you, "We heard about your battle with Yunagi-san. We both wish we could've been there to see it."
Hey, we're famous!
[Alexander: 3/15: Fail!]

[Perception: People: 3/15: Fail!]

You frowned at the bad spot they got you in and rushed in to help. It didn't take you long to turn the tide by sending three enemies away with a single attack...but then you start to hear the screams and grunts of effort. It takes you a few moments looking at the panicking non-combatants to realize your mistake.

You were the leading the formation.

And you just rushed to the center without leaving anyone to take your place.
Dammit, we're no real tactician.
[Feelings + Persuasion + Feelings (Yato): 33 + 18 + 10 = 61/50: Success!]
SPEECH!!! SPEECH!!! SPEECH!!!
"They come for us because we are turning this tide. These invaders know how powerful we can be when we all stand together, so they are trying to stamp us out before we can gather! But we can not, no, will not let them win! Stand your ground and fight with the fury of the God your school is named for! Fight and push these invaders back to whatever holes they crawled out of!"
"Let me hear your warcry!!!"
"Ha! Though it was you leading 'em, Nagai! Got a good set of lungs on you," Hose walks over to you, shirt missing and body covered in bruises but smiling all the same. An asshole with a knife comes rushing at him from the left while screaming his head off. He responds by dodging the dude's clumsy stab, grabbing his arm, punching him hard enough to break his nose, then letting his body slump to the floor. He turns back to you, walks up, and claps a hand on your shoulder, " 'Bout time you got here. Almost missed all the fun."

"Oh, cause you had this whole fight well in hand, I'm sure," you wave at his clearly bruised body before chuckling and clapping a hand on his shoulder, "Good to see you're still kicking, Hose."

"Hey! Don'tcha start ignoring me!" both of your heads swivel towards Ritsuko, who finishes up pounding a Kirin student's face into the dirt before walking over. Her black hair flows freely through the air due to her missing hat, lost alongside her blazer leaving her shoulders bare. You separate from Hose as she walks up and lightly punches you in the arm, "Damn it, Nagai. You could've shown up sooner! The both of us could've sent these assholes packin' in seconds!"

"You mean the three of us, right?" Hose asks pointedly.

Ritsuko looks up at him with confusion, "Huh? Oh, yeah. You're pretty good too, Hose."
The Three Caballeros of punching are together again.
She's at the school gymnasium, and she's found the leader of the assault....and Hiroko.
Oh. Oh shit. Wonder if she had something to do with this, or if she just saw an opportunity.

Yeah I say wait a little before introducing Ritsuko or any of are normal pals to the supernatural, mainly till we get abit stronger bonds with them. Then I'll be all up for showing them what's going on.

Erroneous "the"

Nah, leave Ritsuko where she is. Our unit is smarting not only for leadership, but for skilled fighters as well. Being overrun and endangering the non-combatants is the explicit concern, and assurance in taking down the leader does nothing to assuage that.

I have absolutely nothing against introducing people we hang out with to supernatural.

Same it's just that this is just not the right time for those types of reveals.
Why not? For all the uncertainty and unfamiliarity of the situation the solution to it is the tried and true "punch it in the face until it submits". :V

I'd argue it's the best time for those type of reveals, at least as far as people like Ritsuko and Hose are concerned.

I don't know who has better leadership skills, but Hose is probably more well-known.

It's kinda late for me to say this but I'm glad the Ritsuko option didn't win. I mean, unless she has a trait or something, isn't she completely vulnerable to whatever mindfuckery that Hiroko might pull there? And the leader is a unknown for us here. Does he has supernatural powers as well? Does he not?

...did Hiroko and Leader bond like Himeko and Bro? Please don't.
