On all sides of you there is the congregation. You thought you were a part of the community. For once in your miserable life you felt safe. You decided to open yourself up to your neighbors and the pastor.

You spoke of the forest, and the things within it. You spoke of the worms you couldn't see but knew that were on the edge of your vision just waiting for a moment of weakness. You spoke of Mansus.

The pastor smiled, and when he was sure that he knew everything he needed he had you beaten to within an inch of death by the very same community you had trusted. Then they dragged you to a miserable frozen hell-hole up north for a day.

They looked for a tree by some crossroads. Then, they hung you by the neck. They congratulated each other on a job well done and gradually dispersed, with the pastor being the last to leave. Before he left he told you one last thing.

"Thank you my friend for your last gift. With my new knowledge I can combat the enemy of man better than ever before. I hope you find peace in the Winter you spoke briefly of."

Then they left you, mostly dead, to die in the snow. Unfortunately for them you were only mostly dead, which meant you were still somewhat alive. You cling to life with a desperation that only the dying possess.

The community only knew the barest hints of the knowledge from your dreams. Never the entirety. They could never know what you held closest to your heart. The knowledge you dwelled on that let you survive what the community thought was Winter.

[X] John Marston
I only played rdr1, and I didn't even finish, so he's the only one I know

[X] Winter (All Things End, That's Why Life Is Valuable)
[X] The Van Der Linde Gang (You owe the gang as a whole.)

[X] Lantern (Knowledge Unbound And Burning Bright)
[X] John Marston

Don't know anything about red dead but I like lantern and none of the current cultist quests focus on it, so that's what I'll vote for

Edit: I guess I'll copy the other lantern vote for the person who saves us

No one will stop us, not even death.

A new Liam Quest? Nice.

Aaaaaa all these cultist simulator quests popping up, this is great

[X] Edge (Live In Fame Or Die In Glory)

Murder superpower time, baby! I've never played any of the Red Dead games so I've got no preference about our savior.

[X] Lantern (Knowledge Unbound And Burning Bright)
[X] Arthur Morgan

Unlike a few people here, I've played RDR but I haven't played cultist simulator. I don't know much about the lores, so I'll just pick a random one.

Just an FYI, I'm going to close the vote some time tommorow. The votes right now are this.

I'd rather be in debt to Arthur personally, than the gang Dutch leads (and Micah has a say in).

My, my, how auspicious~ Just as I was playing RDR2 myself!

[X] Winter (All Things End, That's Why Life Is Valuable)
[X] Leonard Summers

I like Lenny the most and picking a main character seems quite trite IMO. I'm honestly quite interested in how the strangeness of the Mansus interacts with the death of the Wild West as well as RDR2's general strangeness. Also Winter? Maybe the Mask from Undead Nightmare might make an appearance as a tomb reward?

seeing as the Possible Reaper himself lives in these lands, might be good to go with death

[X] A man called "Uncle"

I'd rather our debt belong to a man who will most likely not use it for ill like the other options

I said I would close the vote today. Well, the vote is now closed.

Hell yes more CultSim quests! And RDR ones too! I have always wanted an emphasis on the more occult stuff in the game so I'm like 200% down on this.

Furthermore, I'll be echoing previous posters; if we owe the gang as a whole I'm sure Micah or Dutch will have us bring occult wrath on whoever picked up their ire in the past hour or so.

EDIT: Whoops looks like I was ninja'd by the QM.
