Thank you and fixed.

'Fraid not this time. The reason being because this indicates how you plan to actually create a counterforce.

Start helping people = Grab up anyone who can fight and just make a big old group that can mount a counter offensive. No real leadership, just a bunch of people staying together to win the day. You'll likely still run into Hose and Ritsuko, but you won't be looking for them specifically.

Find some help = Specifically find others who can lead a group with you. This is "grab up anyone who can fight" and more "delegate different task to specific people to make an organized fighting force".
Got it, thanks.

[X] Find some help. You're not gonna be able to pull this off alone. You'll need people who can help you keep a group together in a fight. Hose and Ritsuko are probably around somewhere, so you'll start with them.

That sounds like something we would roll Tactics for, to see if we can actually grasp the concept of delegation. Because your explanation makes the option sounds like it's less likely to succeed. We are certainly not tactician; then again, the movie might have helped!

There is more to the rolls just the obvious skills.

Each one you have a chance accomplish with your current stats.

The difference is how you accomplish it, how well it works out, and what path the event takes based on your decision.

[X] Start helping people. There's plenty of people in this fight that could use a hand. You'll help them out, get the ones that can still fight to join you, and keep it up until you have an entire group of fighters behind you.

Honestly would rather vote for just punching every foe, but I see how things are rolling, so second best it is.

With that context, this gives us a solid chance of basically forming a mini-boss squad/The Squad.

[X] Speech Time! You've been waiting for this moment! It's time to find the tallest object you can, get on top of it, and give a rousing speech to rally everyone together!
Want to give a Kamina-like speech.

While I believe in our Charisma as the Lancer, we need more than a group of people with the same interest... We need an ARMY

Alright, Start Helping People it is.

K. Everyone. I've got an Exam tomorrow, so expect the next update either this Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Or earlier depending on when my muse comes in.

Week 5 Event: Turning the Tide
You're acting the moment you make the decision. Since you're in the middle of the skirmish, there's no need to try to be careful about where you go. You simply look in a direction, see someone in trouble, then move.

Your first stop is a black haired kid in a normal Raijin uniform getting attacked on all sides by three girls with bats. He's on his back with his arms up trying to block the rain of blows aiming for his face. You show up just as his defense goes down, knocking each girl out with a punch to the stomach or blowback from Yato. He takes your hand as you drag him to his feet.

"Can you fight?" you ask him...

[Surgery: 3/10: Fail!]

[Feelings 35/10: Success!]

...though you already know the answer. His body is shaking, his eyes are darting all around him, and he keeps jumping at the sounds of people getting hurt.

In short, he's in shock and wouldn't be able to hold up.

Alright then. Need to move on. First though...

You place a hand on the young man's shoulder. You stare him down and ask, "What's your name?"

He looks at you with confusion before shaking his head in shock, "N-Nijimura."

"Can you fight?"

"N-no..I...I don't know-"

"Got it," you push him behind you and smash another dude away, "Stay close, and don't let them separate us."

He doesn't respond, but doesn't need to as your next destination is directly to your right; Two students, a guy, and a girl wearing your Club's gis and wielding a bokken each. They're back to back and fighting off the Kirin students with well-placed strikes. It doesn't take long to clean up the remainder to get some breathing room. You make sure Nijimura is still behind you (which he is, with his arms wrapped around your waist and is shaking like a leaf in a windstorm) before asking for their names.

"Midono Sohei and Fujuki," the guy. who you're guessing is Sohei, says while adjusting the red bandana on his head, pushing his light brown hair out of his eyes.

"And you are Nagai Hayato, correct?" the girl, Fujuki, flips her matching locks while staring up at you, "We heard about your battle with Yunagi-san. We both wish we could've been there to see it."

"Thanks for the compliment, but now's not the time. You two still up to fight?"

"Of course," they say in unison while hefting their weapons.

"Then get behind me and defend Nijimura. If you see a chance to help someone, take it and see about getting them to join us. If they can't fight, have them stand back and protect them. If they can fight, get them in the front."

Your fellow students nod and fall in behind you while you make your way towards another group. And from there, things fall into a pattern. Help someone, ask if they fight, get them to fall in repeat. Help, ask, fall in, repeat. Help, ask, fall in, repeat.

It was easy, at first.

Then the Kirin students started realizing what you were up to. It might be easy to hide your intent when your group is small enough to get lost in the chaos of the skirmish. But as you gain more members, take down Kirin students, and grow your forces, it becomes clear that you're forming a unified front to turn the tide. And it was only a matter of time until they tried to stop you. They attempt this by creating their own assault force. About twenty Kirin students, some of which managed to get up after your attack albeit injured, came at your train of Raijin students. They purposely avoided you and aimed for the weak spot, the center of your formation where all the non-combatants or people too injured to fight were.

There were enough fighters to hold off the initial twenty assailants, but not the additional five that kept swarming in when they realized what was going on or were called in by their fellows.

[Alexander: 3/15: Fail!]

[Perception: People: 3/15: Fail!]

You frowned at the bad spot they got you in and rushed in to help. It didn't take you long to turn the tide by sending three enemies away with a single attack...but then you start to hear the screams and grunts of effort. It takes you a few moments looking at the panicking non-combatants to realize your mistake.

You were leading the formation.

And you just rushed to the center without leaving anyone to take your place.

Meaning the entire unit has stopped, giving the Kirin a chance to close in on and kill you with numbers.

This will end here if you don't do something to turn the tide. Acting on instinct, you do the first thing that comes to mind...

[Feelings + Persuasion + Feelings (Yato): 33 + 18 + 10 = 61/50: Success!]

With a mighty battle cry, you rush to the closest group of enemies beating on your allies. Yato amplifies your right hook to a dude with a nose ring's jaw, sending him flying into his fellows behind. You call out with as much force as you can, ignoring your fatigue and your throbbing injuries, "Do not falter! Students of Raijin Academy!"

You feel everyone's eyes turn to you but you don't stop while waving your hand through the air, blocking attacks from enemies as they try to attack you as you speak. You swear you can hear your voice reverberating across the schoolyard, "They come for us because we are turning this tide. These invaders know how powerful we can be when we all stand together, so they are trying to stamp us out before we can gather! But we can not, no, will not let them win! Stand your ground and fight with the fury of the God your school is named for! Fight and push these invaders back to whatever holes they crawled out of!"

You punctuate the ending with a final strike that clears away ten more Kirin students. The fighters in your group send up a mighty cry and start to push the enemy back. They manage to rally while you make your way to the front of the formation and start leading again. As you do, you notice two familiar faces making their way through the thinned-out crowd.

"Ha! Thought it was you leading 'em, Nagai! Got a good set of lungs on you," Hose walks over to you, shirt missing and body covered in bruises but smiling all the same. An asshole with a knife comes rushing at him from the left while screaming his head off. He responds by dodging the dude's clumsy stab, grabbing his arm, punching him hard enough to break his nose, then letting his body slump to the floor. He turns back to you, walks up, and claps a hand on your shoulder, " 'Bout time you got here. Almost missed out on all the fun."

"Oh, cause you had this whole fight well in hand, I'm sure," you wave at his clearly bruised body before chuckling and clapping a hand on his shoulder, "Good to see you're still kicking, Hose."

"Hey! Don'tcha start ignoring me!" both of your heads swivel towards Ritsuko, who finishes up pounding a Kirin student's face into the dirt before walking over. Her black hair flows freely through the air due to her missing hat, lost alongside her blazer leaving her shoulders bare. You separate from Hose as she walks up and lightly punches you in the arm, "Damn it, Nagai. You could've shown up sooner! The both of us could've sent these assholes packin' in seconds!"

"You mean the three of us, right?" Hose asks pointedly.

Ritsuko looks up at him with confusion, "Huh? Oh, yeah. You're pretty good too, Hose."

Your senior rolls his eyes while you ask the two about the current situation. Hose surveys the area around you and shrugs, "Can't say. The other seniors are off defending the entrances to campus buildings where most of the staff and students who can't fight are hold up, and Sensei's stopping anyone from getting into our Dojo or stealing our sign. If you mean the battle itself, then I'm pretty confident that we're winning. Your death squad here cut down a big chunk of the enemy, and your speech put some fight back in those who were waning."

"Then I say we use this advantage!" Ritsuko's fist hits the palm of her hand as she smiles like a savage, "We hit 'em hard with a big rush and drive 'em out of here! That'll teach them to mess with my brother's school!"

"Sounds like a plan to me," Hose cracks his neck and rolls his shoulder while looking at you with a smile, "You in, Nagai?"

You're about to say yes when you hear the sound of your phone receiving a new message. You tell your friends to hold on while pulling it out. You open it up, seeing a new text from Yameko that makes your eyes widen in surprise.

She's at the school gymnasium, and she's found the leader of the assault....and Hiroko.

This was the second part of Yamato's plan. While you were forming a counter-force in the skirmish, Yameko would be looking for the leader of the attack. Once she found them, she would inform both of you. Then you would all convene on the area to deal with him.

Yamato said you should arrive first just in case there was a battle. However, if you leave now they'll likely use your absence to crush your newly acquired advantage. But if you stay and fight, your bro's gonna have to take on their leader and Hiroko.

If it was some random asshole from Kirin, you wouldn't be as worried. Yameko can keep your brother safe till you get there.

But if Hiroko is there too then....you've got to get there before he does. But you can't leave your unit leaderless and...wait.

You look up at Hose and Ritsuko, quickly coming to a decision.

[] You can't leave until you solidify this advantage. You'll stay to drive off Kirin and then go help Yamato. It shouldn't take too long to finish this fight.

[] You need to stick to the plan. You'll go to the gym to deal with their leader and Hiroko. But you'll leave either Hose or Ritsuko in charge. You're sure one of them can handle things from here...you hope.
- [] Put Hose in charge. He is a senior in the Martial Arts Club. He's probably got experience leading others.
- [] Put Ritsuko in charge. You're not sure if she's got any leadership potential, but she should at least be able to drive the others to victory.

- [X] Write-in: Take Ritsuko with you. With the two of you arriving in support, victory is assured.

I'm flexible on the leadership, but I think Hose is the best choice: he's a senior martial artist and he's from this school. Ritsuko may have some leadership experience herself, being a CEO's daughter, but maybe not. And she's not from the school. Also, taking her with us to help our brother shows trust and will hopefully prevent her from developing a grudge over this.

Hose has this in the bag.

...I'll allow the write in, if there are enough votes for it.

But be warned: THIS WILL REVEAL THE SUPERNATURAL WORLD TO RITSUKO IF YOU DO THIS.

Also, FUCK YEAH, SPEECH!

Oh shit right. Um...

It's there any specific reason to not do this? I'm not sure myself...

Pros: She'll become involved in the Supernatural part of the world; No more needing to tip-toe around the subject with her; Increased chance of her getting a Bond Partner or asking you for help getting one; You can ask her for help regarding Supernatural things.

Cons: More people will know about the secret, meaning more chance it gets revealed to the public; She's the daughter of a CEO, meaning there's a chance she lets it slip to her father, who might let it slip to the Secret Organization who might find out about you through her; There's a chance she starts searching for her own Bond Partner which could put her in serious danger.

I think most of these cons can be dealt with, as long as we take out time after the fight to leave it clear to her that the Supernatural World must stay something secret, with only us knowing about it. Not to mention, insist to go with her if she wants to search for a partner, no take aways.

We could obtain another ally in the fight against whatever comes.

I dunno, I think it can work.

I'm not saying not to do it. Just letting you know what will happen.
