[X] Plan Getting the Last Ducks In A Row
-[X] Security and War Readiness:
--[X] In response to the news of the Lannisters using Other servants as disposable killers and the unrest in the western provinces likely caused by the death of the usurper, all imperial forces and institutions are given order to go on Low Readiness alert level.
--[X] Furthermore, in anticipation of the coronation at the end of the month, Army, Airforce and Inquisition assets in the Stepstones will be placed on High Readiness until further notice.
--[X] Since part of Low Readiness is that the Legions must become ready to deploy within 24 hours, this will mask the preparations of the attack on Westeros under the guise of simple caution.
--[X] Baring any unforeseen events, you will escalate this general alert state to Imperium wide High Readiness for the Army, Airforce, Inquisition and Forges in response to the death of the Small Council, and give out Imminent Offensive orders to the participating units on the day of the coronation.
-[X] Letters and Invitations:
--[X] Prepare
some letters to be sent out at the 27th of the month, which will be early enough for the recipients to make preparations for attenting the coronation, but far too little for them to muster any defense worth the name.
--[X] The letters will be delivered in the following ways:
---[X] Staunchly loyalist houses and those who are more exposed to enemy attack, took on great personal risk to support you or are of a more prickly nature will receive the invitations delivered personally by Dowager Queen Rhealla in her function as the head of the diplomatic corpse.
----[X] This list includes Doran Martell (Loyalist), Monford Velaryon (Loyalist), Stannis Baratheon (Important Turncoat), Lothar Brune (Loyalist), Raymun Darry (Loyalist), Jon Royce (Loyalist), Walder Frey (Prickly), Roose Bolton (just to make sure he does nothing stupid if Ned Stark is doing something stupid), Baelor Hightower (Important Turncoat), Roderick Harlaw (Important), with more people being added if Rhealla deems it prudent to do so.
---[X] Loyalist houses will receive the invitation delivered in person by a member of the diplomatic corpse, if security considerations permit, or by a Three Eyed Raven.
---[X] Enemy houses will receive the invitations by regular raven, sent by the local loyalist houses.
---[X] Important enemy houses (Tywin Lannister, Hoster Tully, Lysa Arryn) will receive their letters attached to a kinetic impactor fired by a Manticores steam cannons into their keeps.
-[X] The Imperial Times:
--[X] Publish a special, shorter broadsheet to be dropped over Westeros, containing information about what Cersei did, what the Lannisters did in general and a reminder for why the Others are Bad News.
---[X] In this, you will include matter-of-fact mentions of Cersei and Jaime having an affair, something that should be divinable, and her children being incestuous bastards, which also should be divinable.
---[X] All proof for that which Bloodraven gathered will be poured into an article publicly discussing the failed marriage of Cersei and Robert, the background of their marriage, and a heavily slanted account of the Rebellion (officially calling Aerys "the Mad King", but heavily pushing on the fact that his legitimate heirs were murdered in a power-grab by rebels instead of installing a regency or sorting out the succession in a Great Council), which will matter of factly insinuate that Robert never was king and the rebellion is a still ongoing. (Things like calling Robert "the rebel leader and self-proclaimed 'king'" and Tywin "the traitor and rebel leader".)
---[X] Have an article that discusses the recent pattern of suspicious deaths in the Red Keep, heavily implying that the Lannisters have specifically murdered their internal opponents to pave the way for a power-grab, namely Cersei ruling as the Regent for the infant Joffrey.
---[X] Also air all dirty laundry from the Golden Shields, how they walked out, how they used Geases to keep them in line and discuss the rumors that similar was done or threatened to be done to reigning lords of the Westerlands and potentially other people.
---[X] Caricatures will be:
----[X] Cersei sitting on the Iron Throne, the head of Robert Baratheon and the unrecognizable skulls and decayed heads of other people impaled on the throne, with the words "All hail the new queen." beneath.
----[X] A reprint of the earlier "Tywin the Slaver" caricature, but this time published in all of Westeros, adding a note that it was already printed months ago as a subtle "told you so".
--[X] Prepare another special broadsheet for the whole Imperium and Westeros, to be published / air-dropped right after the coronation. (It will be printed the days before, to ensure it's ready.)
---[X] It will contain the full speech you will give during the coronation, highlighting your commitment to the ideals of the Imperium, to protect it's citizens and to vanquish the threats form beyond.
---[X] It will also repeat your comments on the state of the western provinces (matching what you wrote in the letters) and the article will also delve into some (also slanted) background for the Rebellion.
---[X] Another article will discuss the state of the eastern borders (provocations, but stable from Norvos, Qohor and Slavers Bay), highlighting that it is just and important to pacify Westeros before it plunges further into chaos and becomes another failed state like the aforementioned places.
---[X] The Westerosi edition will include a sternly worded reminder of what treason is and what it means to those found guilty of it, followed by an offer of clemency and mercy to all small folk who are pressed to fight in the armies of their rebellious lords. They will face no punishment and will receive healing, food and safe passage home if they surrender to Imperial forces or desert and return home on their own.
-[X] One Last Visit:
--[X] Visit Jeor Mormont to deliver the news in person and lead up to discussing the future of the Nights Watch.
---[X] Voice your opinion that the Watch being neutral made a lot of sense during the time of a thousand kings after the last Long Night, and was still sensible during the era of the Iron Throne to keep the Watch from being misused as a political tool.
---[X] However, in the Imperium, those concerns are entirely irrelevant. You have a giant standing army and multiple government branches capable of enforcing your will, so you have just about zero incentive to politicize the Nights Watch.
---[X] What you would therefore propose is to keep the Watch nominally independent after you have full control of Westeros, but boost it's capabilities by stationing forces of the Imperial Armed Forces and the Inquisition on the Wall and installing state of the art military defenses to further fortify the position, such as steam cannon batteries both on top of the Wall and behind it to provide indirect fire.
@Crake, I think that should be all.
