I've been convinced, do the light house now, then we have another 1 year long option to take next turn which leave the plate clean two turns down the line. Beast paths are also quite nice to know the location of, they are still gearing up for whatever their big play is so I don't want us to get caught up in other, shiny options and leave a large vulnerability unsupervised.
 
I think it's a bad look to give charity to a bunch of savages on some far off island while charging our neighbors who are likely recovering.

Also, we should trust the Foamborne to root out the heretics since they're familiar with them. Witch Hunters probably won't know the difference with followers of Manaan nearly as well. This is obviously a scheme that was a long while in the making, I doubt anyone could have prevented it. I still think the specialized inquisitors for the cult of Manaan would be the best ones to root out heresy in their cult.
 
Not a fan of giving a Marianburg org that much control over our trading ports. Also would prefer to do things with returns rather than a prestige project like the lighthouse immediately after getting sacked.

Since I'm too lazy to look through 7+Pages to find a plan I can get behind, what is the Plan that doesn't have us just handing out shit for free all over again?

I mean really...the excuse as to why people are willing to do it for Albion are while far fetched and reaching atleast somewhat understandable. As for the Seed Drills? They are freaking Elector Counts...they can afford it, I see absolutely no reason as to why people are so willing to just White Knight these things.

Better infrastructure for our allies faster. If we struggle with using money so could they. So if we can afford it we should do a charity.

The disagreement in this thread right now is whether we can afford the Seed Drills charity cost long term. We want them to spread and that is done by having them have worth in the market which charity can deflate if not outright remove.

So most don't want charity on the Seed Drills, but want the other two types of charity actions. You are one of two people I've noticed in this thread not wanting to do any charity actions and a few voters want all the charity actions.

Presumably, the merchant families who oppose us make frequent donations to the Cult of Manann(and possibly have a decent amount of friends and family in the clergy) seeing how they're seafarers.

The Cult of Manann in Marienburg balances these people against the families trading in Ostland-made firearms and the ones with no Asur commitments seeking to upstage the ruling houses involved in the Marienburg-Lothern trade route.
Basically, they have about as much reason as the Staadtholder.
Not doing "Not This Year" seems like tempting fate this year particularly since I'm pretty sure the SoC rolls aren't going to favour us, but all the military options are good. Curious what the reason for getting the orchards up and running over getting the charcoal industry going, but they seem interchangeable so I don't really object. Sending Logan off and not getting eyes on Middenheim seems risky, but I can understand getting a better overview of Marienburg. Lastly I can understand letting the witch hunters at the cult, though it seems like something that might backfire. The option for it seemed to imply that the benefit to picking it was increased information about the Holders of the Coast, but I don't really care what we know about them so long as they are stamped out. I don't like skipping on the gold wizards in favour of getting an engineering roll bonus, seems sorta like we are skipping on the immidiate benefit for a long term bonus there when we could very well need the immidiate benefit.
Orchards = Middle Mountains can take more (Ostlander) refugees if the province gets overrun.
Charcoal = Less Forest for the Beastmen/Greenskins to proliferate, more farmlands for the Seed Drill.
Former is defensive, latter is offensive.

And I think the delay on Gold Wizards is basically to save a bit of cash.

Better infrastructure for our allies faster. If we struggle with using money so could they. So if we can afford it we should do a charity.

The disagreement in this thread right now is whether we can afford the Seed Drills charity cost long term. We want them to spread and that is done by having them have worth in the market which charity can deflate if not outright remove.

So most don't want charity on the Seed Drills, but want the other two types of charity actions. You are one of two people I've noticed in this thread not wanting to do any charity actions and a few voters want all the charity actions.
No, the two charity actions I don't fully agree with are Albion and Seed Drills. I'm all for rebuilding our ports and coasts in general, especially since it would improve our standing with both Low- and Highborns.

The only reason as to why I would be agreeable to the Albion Charity is if it would truly make them as a genuine threat or mere annoyance for the Filmir or Druuchi...but I highly doubt why will manage to stop the Druuchi for even a moderate amount of time so im undecided on it.

For the Seeding Drill, again..we want to make it wide spread but also a lucrative venture for ourselves. It's a given that The Northern Trident at he very least will come to adopt it swiftly, the rest of the Empire would maybe follow after seeing the benefits of it, however, we already do a lot for our allies. What I'm thinking of is that with an increase to our own funds by having them bu it from us instead of us just giving it to them is that the income from that will increase our overall treasury, allowing us to invest even more, build/invent better things and so on..you know..'Long Term'.

Point taken, but given how the Staadtholder just attempted to screw us over last Electors' Meet, and all the Elector Counts plus the Grand Theogonist and Ar-Ulric know - plus whoever else they've told - any attempt to blame us for this will look super suspicious on their part.

The only reason as to why I would be agreeable to the Albion Charity is if it would truly make them as a genuine threat or mere annoyance for the Filmir or Druuchi...but I highly doubt why will manage to stop the Druuchi for even a moderate amount of time so im undecided on it.

For the Seeding Drill, again..we want to make it wide spread but also a lucrative venture for ourselves. It's a given that The Northern Trident at he very least will come to adopt it swiftly, the rest of the Empire would maybe follow after seeing the benefits of it, however, we already do a lot for our allies. What I'm thinking of is that with an increase to our own funds by having them bu it from us instead of us just giving it to them is that the income from that will increase our overall treasury, allowing us to invest even more, build/invent better things and so on..you know..'Long Term'.

Fair enough. Good to have the clarification.

A resistance movement in Albion won't be a single action, but the Charity action gets us there faster.

Add that one to the pile of reasons not to take the charity action on the Seeding Drill.

Albion Charity has them as stronger than Albion Trade and has a 10% higher CoS.

Trade: Reward: Human Tribes of Albion are able to begin upgrading their weapons from bronze and stone to steel, the better to fight off the fimir and druchii. Trade Income
Charity: Reward: Albionese able to resist the Albion Fimir and druchii much better, significantly better equipped in arms and armor.
