Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

[X] Burn the Sinners, part 4 – If the news wasn't lying to you, it was only the Behemoth family that attacked Kansas City. Where did the Leviathan family run off? Chase after them before they also attack a city in revenge.
[X] Bone of the Father, part 4 – You managed to cut the Wolfheads down to just two capes, at least as far as you're aware. Strike while the iron is hot and don't give them time to recover.

[X] Babysitting – One of the members of Operation Pentagram has a favor to ask of you. A somewhat embarrassing favor.
[X] Hang out with another character(s). This is by definition a non-combat activity.
-[X] Missy

It looks like Mac and Epoch won't be joining us this week, but at least I remembered that I wanted to invite them to join while the vote was actually live. I tend to only think of it when it isn't relevant.

I'm hoping that we can vote for bringing them into the team next weekly vote. Or at least interact with them and get a update on their status.

"Lady Missy had a hair of gold and a shiny arm. It was obvious she's the Sun Goddess. But now her hair is red and black and white, and she summons puppies for some reason! Did she change her portfolio?"
Easy explanation. Previously she was blonde, representing the sun at noon. Her red hair now is that of the sunset. Clearly the sun must be rolled across the sky by a pack of puppies! :D

Honestly, that entirely works. Sun colors, and "sun is moved by animals" is a common enough myth (possibly in the form of a pulled conveyance for the sun god) that they might have had it even before recent religious upheavals. Sure, why not dogs?

[X] Daddy's Little Girl, part 2 – You have a few options for maybe possibly improving your dad's memory. None of them will be straightforward, but would it hurt to look into them?
-[X] Contact the TSAB and see what help, if any, they can provide. It would probably be best to start with the Enforcers since they're able to take a real look at him.

[X] Participate in Final Frontier as a social activity instead of a main activity.

-[X] Contact parahumans who have some brain-related ability. They'll mostly be Tinkers, and probably mostly be rogues or villains, but Dragon may help keep things from getting too dangerous.

[X] Final Frontier, part 4 – The Triumvirate Dynamic Duo is interested in what resources Earth Bet would have access to with convenient interdimensional transport. The Enforcers mentioned long ago that there were possibly more worlds they couldn't see clearly. Check one out.

"This?" He pats the book. "Weird as it is to admit, it's a journal. With my memory…" He frowns. "…on the fritz, I guess, I have this to write down stuff I need to remember. One of the therapists called it my 'peripheral brain' once, and that about sums it up. There are a few other tricks they have me trying, but this works the best. I guess, anyway, from what they tell me.
I'm surprised it's not a Handbrain reference.

-[X] Bring Laura and Kayleigh along, between the three of us maybe we can remember a normal childhood.

I was originally thinking just bring Laura to Babysitting, but I realized she doesn't have a kid sibling so it wouldn't make sense to bring just her, so we'll bring along Kayleigh, maybe between the three of us maybe we can remember a normal childhood.

.... if this subvote fails, can we trust in you (or some other noble soul) to write the omake of just how Kayleigh reacts to Laura and Taylor playing house babysitting :O

I have no particular attachment to Bone of the Father beyond urge to finish quest-lines (Theo isn't who I'd pick to next recruit, and its as plausibly "handled" as any of the other Part 4's people want to drop) , but I suppose even if I'd mustered the energy to venture once more into the breach at the start of voting having us explore Earth He (volcano world) with Arcana could feel redundant when we're exploring a new world with Final Frontier already. And its much too late to remind people of flawed attempts at socialing Perfect Storm on Galea info, since we missed our chance with free bonus social to go wallow in Danny's suffering.

I do wonder if Samantha had always been secretly visiting him (possibly due to whatever echo of Annette-of-memory served as a framework for her creation) , or if it was another "Schrodinger's Plot" where if we had entirely ignored DLG she'd not have been visiting ever.

At any rate, Bone-Burn Frontier does seem the best approach to keep a solid emphasis on Arcana as top tier heroes rather than sit back and let boring little organizations take the spotlight. Its like readers of a superhero quest want to hurry along the death of superheroics and return to normality sometimes >_>

So, currently, Bone of the Father is a shoe-in at 42 votes for one main activity. The second one is a close race between dealing with the Fallen and progressing with the Danny-fest (25 to 24 I believe). Social activities are looking to be the Babysitting and Final Frontier choices.

"Peripheral brain" was how one of my attendings referred to his patient notes when I was in residency.

She was always planned to be visiting him.

This is not what I saw from the update, but that is alright. Just the fact that Taylor has addressed the issue, talked to her father, seen the differences from her initial, post Behemoth-coma sadstravaganza is.... well, not enough for me to want to drop the story-line, or call myself content with the outcome, but I'll back off on pushing it.

Totaling all the votes, Burn the Sinners had 27 whereas Daddy's Little Girl had 25. So I guess we're going fishing.

I like those numbers, as it shows the last update convinced a lot more people that DLG is/may be worthwhile. It's lucky we don't have to kill off Fallen branches for the other seventeen Endbringers.*

*For people who don't read all the forum when catching up: The other Endbringers aren't showing up. SW has said so explicitly. They cannot be activated anymore, unless some idea strikes his/her fancy for a sequel quest.

Worse for me, apparently when I changed the vote after Silently Watches advised me to go for the interesting quest (DLG) it didn't register that I hit "post" because the updated vote was still in the saved post queue when I clicked on the update link. Oh well, at least I had my initial "power gaming" choice instead.

Darn. Just missed the vote...

Would you have voted for DLG? between you and Slick, we could have had a tie. This is pure curiosity, not something I plan on doing anything with.

I've had quite a few votes get messed up by formatting issues. Were you editing your original vote or making a new one? A new post with the new vote and editing the original post both work if you've changed your mind about what you wanted to vote for.

@Silently Watches, now that voting has concluded and I've read the new updates to the character sheets, I have a round of questions.
Anubis – Summon a jackal-headed humanoid who leaps into combat with whatever weapon is at hand. Human-level intelligence allows him to follow complex plans or improvise on his own if needed. He can cast Thorns and Quicksand as innate abilities.
Does Anubis (and the puppies as well) have an equivalent to a Barrier Jacket/Inherent Forcefield, and if yes, at what level is its (their) defence?
If the above question is yes and we purchase Distant Caster, would that mean Anubis could cast Haste Mode (drops defence, raises physical/mental speed?)
Since Distant Caster allows Anubis to cast spells Missy knows, does the connection work both ways so that Missy could access the spells Thorns and Quicksand?
Can Missy summon while flying in the air (perhaps to drop Anubis on the back of an enemy), or does the casting circle have to be placed on a surface like with a golem?

No. Anubis is just physically tough. The puppies are no stronger than real puppies.
