Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

[X] Bone of the Father, part 4 – You managed to cut the Wolfheads down to just two capes, at least as far as you're aware. Strike while the iron is hot and don't give them time to recover.
[X] Burn the Sinners, part 4 – If the news wasn't lying to you, it was only the Behemoth family that attacked Kansas City. Where did the Leviathan family run off? Chase after them before they also attack a city in revenge.

[X] Babysitting – One of the members of Operation Pentagram has a favor to ask of you. A somewhat embarrassing favor.
[X] Participate in Final Frontier as a social activity instead of a main activity.

On second thought, with that particular emoji at play, and Burn seeming to finally be on the radar for the Protectorate to handle, I'll take DLG as a main.

[X] Daddy's Little Girl, part 2 – You have a few options for maybe possibly improving your dad's memory. None of them will be straightforward, but would it hurt to look into them?
-[X] Contact the TSAB and see what help, if any, they can provide. It would probably be best to start with the Enforcers since they're able to take a real look at him.

[X] Final Frontier, part 4 – The Triumvirate Dynamic Duo is interested in what resources Earth Bet would have access to with convenient interdimensional transport. The Enforcers mentioned long ago that there were possibly more worlds they couldn't see clearly. Check one out.

Alright... now that I have the time, some replies I couldn't get to earlier.

Danny:
Your anti-passion towards DLG and Danny In general is delightful, keep it up!
I have some very personal reasons to have absolutely no humor and even less patience for absentee parenting. Especially absentee Single parenting like Taylor endured after her mom died. If anything the argument they had before his injury only solidified my opinion, since any parent who can't be bothered to be there for their children when they need them most has no right to then be surprised and upset years later when they realize that those children have grown up and no longer need them.

Earth Vav:
Really don't like this option. Does anyone who's advocating for this actually realize what this is going to lead to? I mean, sure, right now the only thing we can do is build a spy-bot to collect information on their language and culture, but where does it end, once we have that? And you know that the people who want this are going to try to push it as far as they can take it. That means taking over their culture full-time, either as their living goddess(es)-empress, or we try to uplift and enlighten them to convince them that we aren't divinity, before leading them into a grim, dark future that knows only war (only mostly joking). In either case to do so "Safely" (for a given value of safety, at least.) could take at minimum several decades, to several lifetimes on the outside, of micro-managing macro-level decisions, to establish ourselves and start implementing whatever nebulous goals we may or may not come up with for these people.

Either way, it's going to be a managerial project to do things "Right". First, we have enough problems just trying to sort things out on Earth Bet. We don't need to be borrowing more trouble. Second, and perhaps more importantly, to actually make the most of Vav means CKII, which is a toolkit @Silently Watches has not and will not give to us by their own admission.

I want to end these two questlines properly.
Not because I believe something horrible will happen if we don't, but for PR reasons. "Arcana is a bunch of girls who pulverized half of the Fallen while the Protectorate pulverized the other half" is better than "Arcana is a bunch of girls who stirred up the hornet's nest and then just sat back enjoying fireworks".

With the Template Social vote rendered obsolete, why don't we use it to take Sailor Shining Shot, Scarlet Grimoire, and Scathach to Earth Vav and continue the goddess sub plot? Build up our pantheon.
Shipwright and Dragon could also be interesting choices though. Might help with the translations.

And of course a safe haven off world is always useful in a pinch.
That actually sounds fun, and something I wouldn't mind seeing explored, but I run into the Time Management issues where we need to cultivate relationships with the Adepts and finish Final Frontier.
It's the too many fires, not enough firemen thing again.

What storylines captivate me the most? I'd like to pursue the "Daddy's Little Girl" and hear more on how we can resolve the situation on Earth Vav.
What seems most practical to keep the world from falling apart is a whole other issue.
@Silently Watches , is my voting screwed because of the approach I'm taking? I've noticed the pattern that was discussed over the last month about neglecting to take storylines and finishing what we start, but because of the discussion, should I be picking the more interesting stories or continue as I've been doing. This is more a meta question.

Traumatic brain injuries which permanently damage my memory or cognitive function have always been my biggest fear, much more so than actually dying. People treat 50 First Dates like a comedy, but it's an effin horror movie for me.
There are a bunch of people who scoff at the idea of "personality death", but things like Alzheimer's are frighteningly real. The end result is what might as well be a breathing corpse, but every aspect of that person's personality has been taken away by that condition.

But this quest has put more personality into Danny than the original text :V

A major issue with how Worm is written is Taylor's bullying is very much done as if it was boys doing the bullying as every in-text example if very physical instead of the psychological abuse that is vastly more common with girls.

The complete failure to notice this physical abuse is breathtakingly bad failure of parenting.

I know what you mean. My grandmother suffered a stroke in 1999 that left her an empty shell of a person. As far as I'm concerned Grandma died in 1999, her body just didn't realize it until 2006. As callous as this sounds, she would have been better off dead than the husk that stroke left her as, and several times I think she communicated she wanted to go because of how much she was suffering. I never was sure how much of her was there trapped in a partially paralyzed body and how much was gone.

I'm a believer that you should vote for whatever YOU find most interesting. Fiction is escapism at its core, so if that means doing what you want to do rather than what you "should" do, that's okay.

While there were numerous examples of physical actions, there was also a lot of the social bullying and attacks on her self confidence present, as well. It wasn't exceptionally well written-which is true of the entire story-seemingly making them be so over the top just to justify the psychotic break that gives you powers.

I endorse the last clause in the hopes that we can get at least one of Arcana to massively fangirl over a Triumverate member. Yes, I'm cheap. No, I don't care. :V
I even know who would be the biggest fangirl.
This is a final hours callout to all those who voted for Final Frontier as a social. Please consider adding this subvote.
-[] Bring along the rest of Arcana for some potential team-building.
So we can get some full team action and see someone (my money's on Laura) lose their shit over being in the presences of one to two thirds of the Triumvirate. Oh, and tour another dimension, that's fun too.

I wonder how our faithful will react when they realize Vista and Scarlet Grimoire is the same person.

"Lady Missy had a hair of gold and a shiny arm. It was obvious she's the Sun Goddess. But now her hair is red and black and white, and she summons puppies for some reason! Did she change her portfolio?"

"Maybe she's the Goddess of Seasons, not the Sun? Previously she was in her Summer form, and now she changed to her Fall form? I wonder how her Winter form will look like."

"But we already have the Goddess of Winter, Lady Laura."

"Maybe Lady Missy is the Goddess of the Sun and Warm Seasons, while Lady Laura is the Goddess of the Moon and Cold Seasons? The blade of Lady Laura's weapon does look like a crescent moon."

"But Lady Missy's sword of light looks like a crescent moon too!"

"It would be so much easier if the Goddesses just clearly explain who are they instead of giving us cryptic hints and testing our faith with these silly declarations they're not Goddesses."

"Don't question the Goddesses' will, you fool! They know best. Clearly, we're not yet worthy of this revelation."

I mean, calico hair still gives off sun vibes.
And if she really has to, her barrier jacket can change her hair color.

I want Dad to turn into a troll. This is unkind of me. More in-character, this is relying on the team and not reaching out to others, which I think Taylor would be more comfortable with.
