Looks like a few of y'all are voting for @Crake, but he hasn't actually cast a vote himself.

@DragonParadox I just thought of one thing with regard to my partial sacrifice plan, since the whole putting souls into soulgems don't involve the old gods, and all the old gods are really involved in, is claiming some of the power of the undead bodies, as an alternative to sacrificing their bodies to the old gods, it should also be possible to extract their souls, and then send their remains to the Fungus Forge(for the corporeal undead at least, the incorporeal undead can only be sacrificed, not sent to the Fungus Forge) so even though I personally prefer to sacrifice them, I have to ask what the average HD of the undead are, so if we go ahead with the plan, we can decide whether it's more profitable, to sacrifice the corporeal undead, or more profitable to toss their remains in the Fungus Forge.
Unless there's problems with giving their old bodies to the Fungus Forge, and then putting them in Warforged bodies.
Nice to know, though that do mean we need to know the average HD of the undeads of Sarnor, we don't need to lessen the abstraction you choose for sacrifice, but we do need to know the average HD, so we can determine if that amount of HD is worth more or less, than 40IM and a meal for the old gods.

Thats going to be a really hard sell. We basically always have a cr15 corpse available, which means we can use them for cr5 creatures. A cr5 forged creature would cost 900IM or 15HD of corpses, which leads to 60IM per hd of corpse. Unless the average value is 2/3 hd or less (way lower than I'd expect), we will be loosing money over just feeding the corpses to the fleshforge. Add that to how much research we would like to do, and that is a lot of resources to give the old gods a nice meal.Nice to know, though that do mean we need to know the average HD of the undeads of Sarnor, we don't need to lessen the abstraction you choose for sacrifice, but we do need to know the average HD, so we can determine if that amount of HD is worth more or less, than 40IM and a meal for the old gods.
Here's an edited version of the chapter, DP.Battle of the Dead Fields, Part Four
Nineteenth Day of the Second Month 294 AC
This was not the first time Zherys flew above a field where the dead battled the living, not yet the first time when his sorcery contended against the divine. Prince Garin had cursed the Sorrows in the name of Mother Rhyone, and though the goddess was dead her influence lingered. What he saw now beneath Caraxes wings, however, was a battle more fearful by far, a thing of poets' verses and deep dreams, the dead battling the dead upon the plains that were their tomb. He saw dragons of steel take wing against beasts of yore tainted by tomb rot and bile, and he saw a ship of the air vanish under the veil of a god's wrath.
It was with some surprise that the Archon of Volantis realized that beyond his worry for the ship as an asset of war, he would miss the fey captain who had vanished into the belly of whatever malfeasance roiled in the clouds above. The always brash, often absurd, but never boring captain Moonsong had improved many a dull and dreary court event filled with provincials and bootlicks.
A dull roar sounded from the north, far beyond the reach of the cloud. Zherys' head twitched in that direction wondering what fresh horror could come upon them from behind.
Fate, it seemed, agreed with his musings, or perhaps some twist of fey fortune and wild magic. The Moonchaser flew back over the hosts of Sathar, swift as an arrow from some divine bow, seeming to blur even before the sorcerer's magic-sharpened eyes. Time itself seemed to sharpen and roil before the prow of the ship like the storm-tossed sea.
When the bomb ports opened some of the self-detonating constructs seemed to be trapped in the eddies as though the air had grown thick and viscous, some were catapulted forward so fast they did not have time to trigger their payload though the sheer force of the impact served well enough regardless . The steam-launchers spewed forth their bolts and they too suffered the same fate, a few trapped, others striking with impossible force, such that they pierced one foe and continued to strike the one behind him, once... twice. The fearsome beast of Nimkuzu, usurper of Sathar, perished to one such bolt slamming though one eye and into whatever rotted flesh or hidden void lay inside its head, as did scores of lesser mummified monstrosities.
Vorvorak, false dragons, the magelord recalled they were recalled, ancestral disdain mixing with his present revulsion for the things. There were still an uncomfortably large number of the things as the enemy army came into arrow range. It was time for him and Caraxes to do their part. Somehow he had no doubt it would be far simpler than untangling whatever temporal conundrum clung to the hull of the Moonchaser.
- Moonchaser wrapped in some sort of temporal anomaly that alternatively enhances and stymies its attacks
- Bandersnatch slain, though its rider endures
- Significant damage done to war beasts
- Light damage done to enemy sorcerers and commanders
As the enemy comes into bow range what order does the Queen of Sathar give?
[] Commit all assets to breaking the enemy center
[] Focus on whittling down the ranks of the enemy army
[] Call for reinforcements from the reserve
[] Write in
OOC: Sorry this took so long, it took me a while to find a PoV character that worked. Not yet edited.
This looks like a fantastic time to capture Nimkuzu the Usurper of Sathar... @DragonParadox, was the queen able to tell us anything about his abilities beyond the fact that he's a hero among the Sarnori?
Assuming he can be spotted among the undead army, whats your plan for capture? While I can see plenty of ways we could blast him, I don't see a way to take him prisoner without extreme risk to whatever asset attempts it.This looks like a fantastic time to capture Nimkuzu the Usurper of Sathar... @DragonParadox, was the queen able to tell us anything about his abilities beyond the fact that he's a hero among the Sarnori?
