Ah, yeah, my mistake. I was equating it with the Others because it was inhabiting the Soul Reaper. The last time we encountered one of those, it was as an agent of the Others.
Still, I think we should try to track its movements for the time being, especially if it can act independently. Learning about Void agents rather than those acting on behalf of the Others could be very helpful. If something happens that is would prompt is to intervene, we can always choose to do so before the end of the month.
It is definitely worse than what we can get from capturing it, though probably better than what we could get out of speak with dead. Speaking of which, did we use that on the soul reaper corpse? Just knowing where it had been could be valuable.

Arguably we should just promise to ourselves "we are going for it the very next time it appears" if we want to be efficient...
But that approach didn't work out for us well so far with the Chosen of Stranger, did it?
And likely will not work out regardless, because narratively it doesn't work well regardless of how one approaches it.
Since it'll either interfere with a chosen storyline we'll have been pursuing at the moment, or fly by without any narrative weight.
And while I'm okay with the latter, lots people (DP included) seem to not be :/
I'm not sure how much good my vote is, tbh.
This "wait and keep on divining" really didn't give us much result so far in the quest, whereas "Viserys interrupt" has always been successful.

Admittedly we haven't gotten the chance to kill the Chosen of the Stranger (though I think this is honestly more due to DP not rolling anything for that yet) but for this particular Daemon I don't think it will be able to resist showing up at Sarnath to face us. It has been supping off the despair of the Sarnori for years now, and here we are to put an end to that. It's going to confront us for sure if we don't manage to hunt it down. It's not leaving this arc alive, and I've got a spot in the trophy room dusted off for it.

Trying to use Speak with Dead on the Soul Reaper gets you a long painfully sharp scream wailing into infinity. Dany suspects it's because it was never alive.
Hunting a spy was never an easy job. But I see your point.
What we're (Viserys) trying to do was NOT to find him (futile attempt for someone who dodges Bloodraven) but to Diplomance him. Preferably so that he could work for us much like we did with Brienne.

[X] A specialized wayfinder which can find the daemon when on the same plane
-[X] Have a group of 3 Erynies (supplied with Mindblank items) assigned to using the Wayfinder to triangulate the position of the Daemon throughout the month.
--[X] Keep the attention predominantly on Plane of Balance, but also keeping an eye on the Planes of Earth, Water and Air as locations of strategic interest.
-[X] Keep detailed notes on the locations that Daemon is found at and utilize House of Mirrors to carefully look into any of them. --[X] Full counter-divination precautions:
---[X] The divination shall proceed in a lead-lined or (if possible) Mind-blanked room.
---[X] After the results are relayed to Viserys via a Mindblanked messenger - have memories of the divination results scrubbed from the scryers' minds using Memory Moss.
-[X] After approximately a month of keeping track of Daemon, prepare to eliminate it in the next location of appearance.
--[X] Based on the previously divined information, clean out any other visited locations via Inquisition/Companion involvement.
Rina handed the bone talisman to the fury with only a slight tremble to her voice as she explained its purpose and the contingencies designed to triangulate the presence of the tainted daemon and prevent it from realizing its peril. Two years ago she would have known of lead lined rooms and portents less strange on her lips than that of equations and navigation. The charm felt heavy in her hands, carved with quick crude runes that seemed to have been worked with flint knives in some darkened cave. In truth they had been inscribed with blue ice and dragon glass, each stroke upon the other laid, the first to find, the second to hide.
"Good hunting," she bid the black armored devils and hoped they would have the answer before the month was done. The thought of the legions, men and women armed with naught but hardened steel and mortal courage, on such a mission sent a chill down her spine that mere cold could no longer conjure.
"I judge that it will be so," the one that held herself most proudly proclaimed. "Finding the spawn of Abaddon is a task my sisters and I are not unfamiliar with." The words might perhaps have been an encouragement addressed to the sorceress' worry.
"Be safe," Rina added as she would to any flying off against the servants of the Void, much less one so mighty.
The black winged furies vanished without a another word. Well, at least they hadn't objected, the mage thought. Progress, as the princess liked to say only half in jest.
Two years ago she would not have been pondering the friendship of devils either.

In a chamber not so far removed from the quick and by necessity secret change of hand between winter-touched mage and fallen angel another mage was looking to compiling a much different account to the King, thoughts of Sarnor and its cursed folk far from her mind already as she sunk into the familiar chair. The training of arcane craftsmen, magewrights as they were being called these days, after Wisdom Lya's helpers, was going quite well, though like many whose talents for magic did not quite extend to the complexities of craft or the swift flow of battle they were oft dismissed by their fellow initiates as 'dabblers' and 'low mages'.
It was folly of course, most people in the realm would probably have their introduction to magic be from the local herb healer or alchemist working as an apothecary. Yet one could not keep a distinctions like that from spreading, especially now that Volantis was fully in the fold. Expecting a Volantene noble not to be proud about any talent, much less the magic they saw as the mark of their ancient heritage... well, the flying elephant was more likely, much more likely as a matter of fact given the flesh smiths' craft. Likely the realities of working as mages in the Empire would were down to some of those prejudices about 'low work'.

OOC: And here we are, Scholarum report included. I did have one small issue though @TalonofAnathrax, the monthly report tables did not include magewrights. I included them manually in the update, with the numbers from the 'total number of magelings' row, but I did not want to mess with anything by adding rows in the doc itself.

Here's an edited version of the chapter, @DragonParadox.
Scholarium numbers are looking very good. A quick comparison to last month's totals don't show a lot of higher level students being promoted, but the overall number of students has increased significantly.
I'll be able to do a better comparison when I'm back on my computer this evening instead of my Kindle.
That means there is a 2nd level Sorcerer who is 19% through the process of reaching 3rd level. It might seem odd, but it works out well when there are now thousands of students across multiple Scholarium branches.
Greetings comrades!
I must say that the adventure in Sothoryos (with the city of snakes and the forge of flesh) was great.
I continue to track (precisely track, not read) the latest updates so as not to miss important vote for me. And here's the question I had. How do I find the Allister level in the table in the last chapter?
