[X] Train with the Gauntlets
- [X] Unyielding Mountain Technique
- [X] Unyielding Mountain Technique

Best to impress our peers in the MA Club, first impressions and all of that. We can round out our education with lil bro as our tutor.

"Looks like we're here," you adjust the three bags tied to your back and the two suitcases in your hands. You look over your shoulder at Yamato, who's carrying one suitcase and his laptop under his arms. You jerk your head at the door, "Want to do the honors?"
Clearly shows which one of us lifts, bro. :p
The entrance leads straight into a living room with a flat screen, two plush looking chairs sitting right across from it, and a small round table between them in the middle of the room. Multiple empty shelves stand to the left and right of the TV, their wood polished to a sheen.

Down the hall to your left you catch a glimpse of a bed with the whitest, cleanest sheets you've ever seen on it through an open door.

The hall your right shows two doors. The open one leads into a kitchen complete with an electric stove and microwave while closed one has the word "Bathroom" emblazoned above it.

And, of course, there's the wonderful pine scent that hits your nose the moment you take off your shoes. You take in a deep breath of it and let it out with a satisfied sigh.
*sniff* Aaah, smells like high class.
You hear Yamato close his suitcase just as he answers, "That of the 200 students that go to this school, the vast majority are, or will be, apart of 'Society's Elites'. In contrast, we are here on Scholarships that pay for us to stay on campus. We are apart of 'The Masses'. The student body being kind to either of us is extremely unlikely."
In other words, drama, relationships and making them eat their words.
Your brother starts walking out of the room as you zip up your pants, watching him leave with a concerned frown. A shake of your head follows as you unbutton the top two buttons on your uniform so you can breathe better.
*gasp* Rebellion!
Before he can reply you jump back and hold your arms out, "Look at us, bro. We're high schoolers. These will be the most important years of our lives! Here is where it all starts! Forming friendships that last a lifetime! Taking pride in your school and learning to love everything you do! Discovering your passion and following it through to the end! School crushes that will blossom into the unstoppable force of passion that is Love!"

You strike a pose while planting your foot on the table and pointing towards the ceiling, "And the best way to experience it all, is to be directly in its path! Sure there are risk, but they pale in comparison to the unfathomable rewards that await us when we overcome them! No matter what gets in our way, we will prevail! For we are the Nagai Brothers! And nothing can stand in the path we blaze to our future! Are you with me?!"
HELL YES!
With a chuckle you stand up and start heading to the kitchen, "Well, if you need any help, you know where I'll be.You know I'm here for you."
Missing a space.

Training our MA is good, but we should also start raining our Empathy skills early, since we need those to help us navigate the high class social life, be emotional support for our bro and to make friends. We are the people person.

As for nickname, I wanted something simple and Yato has the syllables that us and our bro share. One happy family.

Edit.
Updated version of the plan below.

As far as we know at this point, there's no penalty for training with someone. There's no point in not training Feelings with our Guantlets unless you think that AP will be better spent by whatever decision the Guantlets makes

The Unyielding Mountain technique explicitly states it works best when the three resistance skills are in balance. Might as well start.

You're absolutely correct. LoS hasn't actually said what is the training result if we have the skill as a Bonus, but our training partner as Normal, but it will probably at least help the Gauntlets.

@LinkOnScepter
How is it?

@Ameraaaaaa @Sena Kumo
I changed the plan to above one.

Figured I should post this up as a reminder about Martial Arts.

Oh, and to explain before there are questions:

Having points in Martial Arts alone is not enough to learn/use a specific Martial Art...with any kind of finesse or skill anyway.

Unless it's Brawling or Street Fighting, which essentially boil down to "Hit Them Hard Until They Fall Over", if you try to use a Martial Art Style without putting points into a corresponding Skill, then you'll suffer a penalty and be capped at 25 points into the Style and won't be able to access the higher parts of the Style.

For instances, if a Style uses a Sword but you have no points in Swords, then you won't be able to access the higher level moves and suffer a penalty whenever you try to use it in combat.

Now, you CAN still use a Martial Art Style without points in a corresponding Skill. It just won't be as effective and you'll kind of be flailing around without knowing what you're doing.

As it stands right now, you guys would be able to hit 35 in UMT before being capped as your body wouldn't be able to withstand the rest of the training.

How is it?

Knew I forgot something. Normal + Bonus gives a +5 to the Normal Skill and a +3 to the Bonus Skill.

If you have a Skill at Normal, but your Partner has that same Skill at a Bonus, you get a +2 Bonus to the points gained.

So with our current training bonuses, when training with the Gauntlets, we can train it once (Since our current UMT skill is 10) before having to raise our Resistance.

Also, how does the capping actually work in this case, since the UMT corresponding skill is Resistance, which is three skills?

What's the training limiter for our style? That's not pointed out as far as I can tell. I stand corrected. It's actually given the answer of "Resistance" which is 3 skills. It's implied to do best when all three are balanced, so I assume at some point it's limited by whatever is our lowest value in resistance.

Is it a cap like AGG where we just can't get benefits, or is it a cap where we can't train further and thus waste the AP?

Also, you've given us the points for our tagged skills, but you didn't mark them as tagged on the character sheet last I checked.

I'll make sure to put up the tagged skills.

To explain the UMT Cap; It's connected to Resistance rather than a specific Skill to represent the entire Martial Art.

You guys can focus completely on Resistance: Physical, and still Master the Martial Art...but you won't be able to make full use of it.

Supernatural Martial Arts take full advantage of every part of a Skill.

To put it another way, there's a reason your Gauntlets has more points in all parts of Resistance. He knows more about and of the Style than you do, and thus can use it in multiple ways besides physical.

Skills with (+) gain 15 a week.
Skulls with (-) gain 5 a week,
Skills with neither gain 10 a week.
When Training with Someone Else:
Shared Skill Bonuses get a +10 to points gained.
Your Debuff of a Skill will get canceled out if your Training Partner has the Skill as a Bonus.
If both Skills are Normal, you both get a +1 Point Gain Bonus.
If you have a Skill at Normal, but your Partner has that same Skill at a Bonus, you get a +2 Bonus to the points gained.
If you have a Bonus to a Skill, but your Training Partner has a Debuff to that same Skill, then you don't get any extra points, but they do.
Late to the voting. Hmm...while I would prefer us studying, I guess that can wait until Yamato has more free time, or at least next turn.

Question @LinkOnScepter. Just to make sure, would be be able to use Unyielding Mountain Style during mundane combat or competitions?

Or should we level up street fighting...would their be any benefit to training up this street fighting? Since it is tagged. Skill Perks probably...

EDIT
Kind of unsure how Normal + Bonus works, since this seems to fit two different ideas.
If you have a Skill at Normal, but your Partner has that same Skill at a Bonus, you get a +2 Bonus to the points gained.
Knew I forgot something. Normal + Bonus gives a +5 to the Normal Skill and a +3 to the Bonus Skill.
Though if the latter is what happens if we have the bonus, and not our partner...edited the feelings calc.

1. Unyielding Mountain Technique: Hayato (Bonus) + Yato (Bonus) = +10
  • Hayato: 10 + 15 + 10 = 35 (Limit Reached) - (Resistance Skills Are Physical: 0, Mental: 0, and Spiritual: 15)
  • Yato: 50 + 25 = 75. - (Not Sure If Limit Applies To Monsters) - (Resistance Skills Are Physical: 50, Mental: 40, and Spiritual: 50.)
2. Feelings: Hayato (Bonus) + Yato (Normal).
  • Hayato: 0 + 15 + 3 = 18.
  • Yato: 0 + 10 + 5 = 15.
