Okay but he's also spent some of his narrative utility recently what with his interactions with Amani and discussion of the J program, and another ace is one of the things that can kill an ace.

Jay is so screwed... Unless he's the Char here.... We need to get him a better mech.

Actually, about the hypothetical really real what are you talking about Petals toy line

Mechas are cool and everything, but what about diversifying to the ships? You know, with built-in hangers so that you can stuff the mechas inside, but there are also, like, detachable cannons for bigger sales modularity that you can swap out and retrofit the cruisers and the carriers on the fly.

Our warcrime score is lagging behind, we need to get some civilians on those platforms!
Also the aces are pretty much all that matters. If ours win we might be collateral, if their wins we will definitely be recreating one of those medieval routs with infantry fleeing from cavalry.
Lets beef up the platforms so that they can kill Kitty and Azara!
