This may initially appear true, but consider: in the last quest we were titled a bridge bunny but the most interesting things we did involved diplomacy, intrigue, romance, and family drama while putting bridge bunnying firmly in the background- in fact, we damaged our ship so often that we had an entire major plot arc with the ship uninvolved! And then the quest ended with us leaving our career in the navy entirely, overcoming the quest title and moving on to more important things. It was great.

So with that precedent we can definitely have a realistic expectation of doing fun and decidedly non-piloty things if appropriate choices are made. And then by the quest end we can have become something more interesting than a mecha pilot and ditch that dead-end career.

Both options seem great, and Daystar is one of my favorite character archetypes, but I think I like the idea of the scrappy democratic rebels just a little more.

I'll be pumped as hell whichever wins though, super excited to be here for the sequel from the beginning!
