I know nothing about the previous quest, therefore I'll vote for the (rebel?!?) Alliance. Kind of think they'll be the more desperate faction compared to something called a United Empire, which fits well with the opening post.

Listen, neither of the paths is going to end like that unless we're really stupid... and if we're really stupid we'll die no matter which path we choose. So this logic is a bit odd?
Definitely fair, but, shitposting aside, I'm super undecided about what to vote for myself.
Largely because the chance to see more of familiar characters seems a bit like a double edged sword with how some votes tend to shake out.
Makes me kinda tempted to just go with the independence goal and hope we never see anyone who got a good ending again.

I'm going with this on the hope that the way the fight plays out is that our protagonist ends up getting rescued by Jovian rebels and we end up with a sort of fish out of water story. A lone Imperial officer stuck with a group of people who merely tolerate her existence because she's one of the less bad Imperials.
And on that, I think I'd prefer a Saturn-native to someone from the inner system or one of the defecting POWs for that sort of story.
