Fallen Empires -- An Old Republic Era adventure (Star Wars)

Fear has obvious badness to it, but I kind of think Hope has its own issues.

Trying to impose your will on the Force, even for positive ends, doesn't generally work too well. Trusting that it will guide you if you let it works better.

This is certainly the view of the Force presented by Jedi orthodoxy.

Particularly in a time period where there are still some hundreds or thousands of Sith in the Galaxy, though, even with the Empire defeated, it's pretty hard to say that the problem with channelling the Dark Side is that it doesn't work, though.

So, to quickly clarify, since I might have been unclear here:

I am not suggesting that [ ] Hope represents using the Dark Side in of itself, or even agreeing that it represents an imposition of Skylah's will on the Force (more trusting in the Force to guide her in a different way compared to [ ] Serenity), so much as I was just using that as the most obvious counterexample.

It "works" in that it makes something happen... I think those Sith's lives were all ultimately made worse by it in a spiritual sense even if they achieved some temporal ends.

But hey, I hold pretty strongly to the view that Jedi orthodoxy is pretty much correct in universe in its broad tenets, even if they fucked up on specifics. Other voters will have different views, but that's mine. Accordingly, I think Fear is bad but Hope is also bad and will be worse for Skylah in a spiritual sense.

[X] Fear
This seems to be a real bad ideas kind of character, and I think I'll vote for the choice that fits that. Don't mean that I want to go dark side with this character, just think it might be interesting if that's what comes naturally for her.
