Don't worry. Maki will not be harmed in this fight.

Oh good.

On the other hand, it also kind of feels like the 'Darkness' option, as the stereotypical 'ruthless' action. Being careless with lives and power also seems like the exact sort of thing EE thinks poorly of Light and Darkness for.

On the other hand, the Speed option seems... sadistic, and seems like the sort of thing that angel from Black Butler would do. Light is not good here. I suspect the basic difference between Light and Darkness (You know, besides, aesthetics.) is that one reserves it's sadism for it's direct enemies and is more discriminating in it's targets, which translates into less team-killing, but that's more of a side effect.

Ah, Dark Mirror was acquired right in time. We will allow Mira to fake being Astral Knight and not alienate her friends until it is time.

[X] With blistering speed. Rain down a storm of blows upon your foe. Bring to them death by a thousand cuts. Show them a slow and painful death.

I mean, it's not hard to argue the Dark and Light sides of all three options.

Overwhelming power is very dark lord, but also for Light side overwhelming 'friendship beams' are also very common.

Precision can be the emotionless, pitiless hamstringing and cutting down of Darkness, or the single precision strike that the Light uses to cut down a big bad.

Speed could be the relentless, terrifying blur that the evil is, the victim unable to follow, or the relentless pummeling down of the big bad by a smaller, determined Light warrior.

This choice is for flavor and style, man. Try not to inject too much paranoia about how it 'feels' or 'comes across' as.

This. Don't read too much into the options. For the Ebon Lord, they can use whatever they damn well feel like as long as long as the end goal is the defeat of the forces of light and darkness.

Right now, you guys are voting for preferential style of doing things, combat wise.

Well, my vote doesn't change then. We're always going to be outnumbered, so flinging power around carelessly isn't going to work out. Speed is great for evasion and getting hits in in return, but a thousand cuts takes too long against enemy Hero Units.

Don't get me wrong, if we want to mow down mooks or get into slugging matches with enemy Hulks, Speed and Power are great, but high-skill is usually my preference.

And I could 100 percent argue that high skill, while real cool if the character has the ability to stay cool and take the time to make those strikes, but if there isn't enough time or the finding of weak points take too long then we could lose.

What I'm trying to say is, if it's your preference, it's cool. But if there were mechanical benefits or drawbacks to each style, our gracious QM would have mentioned it.

There are no true mechanical benefits to each style. As mentioned before, we're choosing what fighting style Ebon Lord usually use first before trying other stuff.

Though if really want more of an idea of what each style entails, I suppose I can enlighten you guys.

Overwhelming power is all about using pure power to smash through any defense you might face in order to crush your enemies. Since you have incredible toughness in order to handle such power, you can also just tank attacks and bulldoze your way through a battlefield. This is pretty much you being a sword wielding hulk.

Ruthless precision is also about using finesse and technique to fend off the enemy's attacks while aiming to strike at their weak point for critical damage! You can and will parry everything, even the ground itself! While not guaranteed, each blow you make is meant to be a deathblow. If you can a combo attack going, your target is pretty much screwed. This is you being soulbourne character with top notch parry skill and attack timing and precision.

Blistering speed is about evading everything your opponent throws at you and the moment there is a lull, you're gonna be rushing in and dealing several dozen strikes everywhere in an instant before retreating. You going to be whittling down their defenses and sapping their strengths at high speeds. And eventually, you'll deal the finishing blow when you've peeled away everything hiding their weak point. With everything taking place in a short period of time.

A's design I think looks rather fitting for a power vote.
