[X] The death of the Warboss, the shattering of an Almost-Rogue Idol
[X] You'd have done the same once. Tell her you understand, but treat her to a lecture on the risks and dangers of miscasts.
[X] The residents are weakened, taking the Citadel is now a possibility.

It's worth another scout to see how much the situation has changed before Kragg and the artillery get to work on the citadel.

I'd forgotten that Thorek Ironbrow was an inhabitant of Karak Azul. Something that's notable about him is that he apparently has notable numbers of apprentices to terrify, so if he comes it might not just be him, but most of his chapter of the guild of runesmiths.

Something else to note about Thorek is that he is described as a strong advocate of reclaiming lost holds, so this is something he's strongly motivated to support. In the canon timeline he came to help Belegar when the Throng of Karak Azul didn't. He also apparently has a history of adventuring, and is experienced at locating sealed or hidden treasuries to recover runelore or runic items from.

Also, watching Thorek and Kragg the Grim be in one place is likely to be hilarious.
It should, should it happen, be something quite interesting to see.

When you finally wake, the immediate post-battle concerns will have been dealt with and there'll be a Meeting of War. How much will you report?

[ ] The death of the Warboss.
[ ] The death of the Warboss and the shattering of an Almost-Rogue Idol.
[ ] The death of the Warboss, the shattering of an Almost-Rogue Idol, and the weakening of Mork.
[ ] The death of the Warboss, the shattering of an Almost-Rogue Idol, and the weakening of Mork and strengthening of Ranald.
Strengthening Ranald is definitely something we don't want getting out. Especially since the council of people we'd be telling would be including people who don't approve of Ranald. As our Patriarch once said "A job performed well needs to be its own reward, for we so rarely see any other."

As for telling about weakening Mork I think we can do it as long as say the right things.
'The Ork Prophet was trying to perform a ritual heretical to one of its gods. I interfered in a way that caused the ritual to rebound on the other god, harming it substantially enough to draw its ire' is pretty fool-proof, considering that everybody just watched that god get so mad that he, a god, was personally murdering his own army for every man and dwarf to see.
This is a good example of way to spin things right.

Finally only telling about shattering the Idol is playing it safe. We don't need to prove ourselves and more importantly we're less likely to be blamed for all the orcs suddenly going wild and attacking.

Panoramia seems to have disobeyed your order and joined the battle. How will you react?

[ ] No harm, no foul. Say nothing.
[ ] You'd have done the same once. Tell her you understand, but treat her to a lecture on the risks and dangers of miscasts.
[ ] She disobeyed a superior Wizard and her commanding officer. Lecture her harshly but inflict no punishment.
[ ] This is a matter between Wizards, and while you're not of the Jade Order and cannot directly punish her, etiquette dictates that you report this matter to them.
[ ] She disobeyed her commanding officer. Eject her from the Expedition.
[ ] Other (write in)
This has already been covered well but to repeat what others have said we don't want to damage our relationship and she may have good excuses which would make yelling at her worse than useless. Besides she succeeded so she must have judged herself correctly.

With Karag Nar taken and the Citadel's forces greatly weakened, the Expedition might be considered concluded. Do you concur?

[ ] The job is done. Ale and riches for everybody.
[ ] The Citadel should be destroyed before we can consider our position secure.
[ ] The residents are weakened, taking the Citadel is now a possibility.
[ ] Taking Kvinn-Wyr would mean we have every Karag flanking the Eastern Valley.
[ ] Other (write in)
Yep time to take the Citadel. We should also take the associated underways that are beneath us as well before we consider the expedition complete.

Taking Kvinn-Wyr with our current forces though would be absurd, it's not an enemy army it's a bunch of dangerous wildlife. We should bring in professionals with flame cannons, drakeguns, cinderblast bombs and trollhammer torpedoes. And if any Slayer is dumb enough to pointlessly feed himself to the trolls living there then I hope that Grimnir doesn't redeem them for their disgrace because certainly in my eyes their death won't have been honorable.

Edit: I'm not sure that telling about Mork will be done in a circumspect enough way to be safe.

On the other hand, voting for two far-and-away leading options looks similar to not expressing an opinion while cancelling your own vote out. :)

[X] The death of the Warboss, the shattering of an Almost-Rogue Idol some other weird shit happened, but you're not even sure how to start explaining it.

Well...there is indeed the possibility of us being called out by Kragg, especially if he confirms his suspicions of us being involved via discerning the literal hole in our soul...

The Colleges only knew the very basics of what an Anvil of Doom was capable of, and now you get to see it for yourself, as conducted by the oldest and most powerful of Runelords.
Mmm, I wonder if a first-hand detailed account with magesight and magical understanding of the metaphysics involved in the usage of an Anvil of Doom by one such as Kragg would be worth something to the Colleges.

Question for @BoneyM. If we tell everyone about Ranald's involvement will we preface it with leaning over a mug of ale, looking both ways as if to make sure nobody is listening and telling the gathered persons that 'you didn't hear it from me but...' or will it be a more academic report of the situation. Honest question.

The context isn't right for that sort of showmanship, sadly.

Is Shadow!Kittybird more in the Fiendishly Complex wheelhouse?

You could try to change the appearance of the Shadowhorse but it'd be purely aesthetic.

@BoneyM, did Kragg break something in his Anvil? His first roll was with +30, but very low and all subsequent were just +25.

Minor miscast, nothing permanent.

Also, what with Karak Azul snippet? Will it be part of some future update?

Yeah, mid-battle is the wrong place for it.

@BoneyM I assume that if enough of the other commanders agree, that the "take the Citadel" option is one that is going to be explored, not leaped into? Do what scouting we can and such, with caveats to turn back while we still can if it seems unfeasible or non-viable?

Yeah, it's next objective, not immediate action.
