When you think about it, probably the most important thing to do is ensure that everyone's partner Digimon are capable of not making a scene. You realize that, in Motimon's case, it may be just a bit too late for that, but he can at least try and remain inconspicuous in his forms lower than Champion.
You also realize that his partner may make it a bit difficult, but that part's Daigo's job. He can handle it.
And it's not like you're going to start with Izzy, anyway. If anyone else is planning something for your return to the Digital World, he's probably who they'd ask... assuming that Haruka hasn't stolen him to help with the keychain thing. She just might have done that.
Either way, the most important one to check on quickly is Tai, because the last time he and Kari were responsible for an Agumon, things went sort of badly. To the point where a bridge ended up broken, you lost track of one of your fellow DigiDestined for four years, and everyone you knew had to move. All things considered, you'd really rather not have a repeat of that.
And so, you stand at the doorstep to the Kamiya apartment, wondering if you should have brought Biyomon before deciding that coming alone was a good idea. Less chaos, that way. Maybe if you visit the others, they'd only have one other Digimon to cause trouble...
"Sora? What are you doing here?"
"Hi, Mrs. Kamiya. I was going to check on Tai and Kari, make sure they're okay, after..." Well, hopefully, they'd have told her by now, but nobody ever said Tai was that great at common sense, and Kari still tends to follow her brother more often than not.
That's not a bad thing, it means that Gatomon can help keep the others out of trouble, but it makes it a lot harder to figure out which of your world-saving duties you're allowed to talk about.
"After the Digital World?" Okay, good, they remembered that part. You'd been sort of worried about that.
"Y-yeah... Also, I needed to make sure Agumon and Gatomon were doing okay... they've never been here before, after all." And given that there's a chance that they might end up staying here permanently, depending on how things go in DigiWorld... it's kind of important.
"Wouldn't this be something for those teenagers I was told about?"
"Maybe, but they're kind of preoccupied with the fact that their friend has been turned into a keychain right now."
"...Kari never told me that part." In fairness, your parents had problems believing the keychain thing, too, and they've dealt with Digimon for the past four years. And it probably is best to stick to the stuff you can prove.
"I don't really believe it, either," You admit. "But that's apparently what happened. I mean, we've even got the keychains, Haruka's probably working on them right now..." You don't actually think you've ever seen her completely back down from a chance to do science. That's sort of concerning.
...Well. She probably knows what she's doing. What's important, right now, is seeing Tai and Kari.
"Tai?" You ask, apprehensively. "What is that?"
"It's my map of the Digital World, in case we're separated from Izzy again."
"...And here I'd thought that you'd gotten into abstract art," Gatomon states. "There's nowhere in DigiWorld that's just a bunch of circles looped together."
"I'd like to see you do better."
"Gladly." The cat takes the marker and starts to draw. You aren't sure how much geography she actually knows, but you can probably assume that she knows the general shape of things... or, at least, how they were when she first ended up stuck in that castle. You don't actually know how long she was in there, and you don't feel like it would be polite to ask.
Nearby, Agumon is eating a watermelon. As in, someone sliced it in half and he's buried his face inside of it. You aren't sure why you expected anything else, really...
[ ] Keep talking about the 'map'.
[ ] Ask about the watermelon.
[ ] ...They seem to be doing fine. Moving on...
