I'm kind of hoping that two vans out of service in the midst of all the crazy that's happening will make them decide to stalk someone else. Because at a certain point hitting back becomes either an option or the only option left besides rolling over. And I don't think either Rhiannon or Farrah is likely to be able to do that without risking the sort of permanent harm that will turn these folks from antagonists into enemies (as in I suspect right now they're going after Rhiannon because they've spotted her and she's accessible, but kill or maim one of them and they'll be hunting Rhiannon specifically whether or not she's the easiest one to find). But they have ray guns and only one of us is tanky (maybe not if the ray guns are plasma or sound-based, which I suspect would get around our strength rather quickly), so taking apart the van would prevent an immediate escape or whatever, but if they knock us out then they can call for another one, I'd assume.
How many vans can they afford to lose/have to fix before they decide hunting Rhiannon's more trouble than it's worth?
If they hadn't been shoot first, shoot some more, only ask questions when dangled high up in the air; well might be more inclined to think they could be reasoned with.
And hopefully they're still intangible to sticks and possibly more, so running should be eased.
