If you mean evidence for being considerably faster, refer to the two passages I quoted in my last post. The first trip on Birdramon was "quick", whereas the same distance took the group 45min of walking.

If you want evidence that Garudamon can carry the entire group, here's a video excerpt from episode 29.
Where's Izzy, Mimi, and all of their digimon partners minus(obviously) Sora's?

Anyways, moving past that, I do have three major concerns with flying with Garudamon.

1. Everyone(except maybe us) will constantly be rolling to cling on for dear life and not fall off.
2. The SP drain and no solid statement on the regen makes it unknown if it's viable everyday and could make it dangerous if we need Garudamon in a fight when our SP is extremely drained from flying all day.
3. What happens when we get attacked in the air? After all, the more people and Digimon on Garudamon the higher the odds of someone getting hit by an attack. Or increased odds of someone falling, either from Garudamon's sudden maneuvering to dodge attack(s) or getting hit and jerking around.

As much as the other current vote makes me think of "give them the universal greeting, then offer them an energon goodie," I think the fact that they're already in a combat situation means that they won't listen unless we make them listen.

[X] ...Would it stop if it was bowled over by a giant orange bird?
-[X] Try talking it down- and fast.
--[X] Explain how we just want to know what's going on.

You can see Garudamon pick up Izzy at 2:24, while Izzy, Tai, Sora, Matt, and Joe are seen at 2:28.
The episode features Mimi and the partner digimon as well, so we can assume they just were off-frame or hidden by Garudamon's claws. Their Rookie forms are smaller than humans, after all.

1. Everyone(except maybe us) will constantly be rolling to cling on for dear life and not fall off.
If they were riding on her back, sure. However, the video shows how the claws formed a bowl shape where passengers are decently protected. And if we want to make sure, a single 'finger' is the right width to anchor rope as an improvised seat belt.
2. The SP drain and no solid statement on the regen makes it unknown if it's viable everyday
Even if we can only fly a few hours per day if we want to keep a decent DigiSoul reserve, that's still a few hours at high speed after which we can walk while Biyomon and Sora recover.
3. What happens when we get attacked in the air?
Seat belts, and the fact that Garudamon's claws would protect us. That should give us enough time to land.

That's not how seatbelts work.

I wonder if you remember Birdramon and Kabuterimon agreeing to never do long periods of flying again.

So, you want to try to make a landing as the Digimon Line with the worst starting Reselience stat is getting pelted with attacks?

So... I have recently learned that, after playing Magical Starsign, it's impossible not to picture Mokka when thinking of Guardromon. That could get annoying...

The best way to start a conversation- ballistic bird missile.(Note: May not lead to a successful conversation. Use at your own risk.)

All the Important Questions
Okay, right. Hostile Digimon... at least you have a decent idea for how to deal with those without involving MegaKabuterimon. As long as it's a Champion, anyway, and you think Golemon is, so it should work out.

Maybe. "Birdramon, how fast can you ram into a giant Digimon made of stone?"

"...I'm not sure I like this idea." Your partner sounds nervous, and, okay, thinking back over your suggestion, you can't blame her. You maybe didn't word that in the most reassuring way.

"You're allowed to use fire if you want," You add. "Just... maybe get it away from us?"

"When we get home, I want ice cream." You can do that. It'll be painful, but... well, she's already taken off without giving you the chance to say no. You guess you'll be getting her ice cream later, if this works.

Birdramon is, in fact, covered in fire when she slams into Golemon, and it does knock the other Digimon off balance. Sort of.

...Look, it's made of solid rock. Maybe not something fire can solve as well as it can everything else, you'll have to remember that later.

On the other hand, that does buy time for Ikkakumon to... fire a horn into the battlefield, which explodes under Golemon's feet. Digimon are still weird. So you think you can still claim you had something to do with the belligerent Champion hitting the ground, just... not the whole thing.

MegaKabuterimon then goes in to drag the two unconscious Digimon out of the battlefield, which is probably a good thing. You went through all this trouble to knock out two combatants, no reason to do something as wasteful as let them get stepped on.

...Honestly, given how vicious the fighting is over there, you may have just saved these two Digimon's lives. You still can't see things farther away pretty well, but you do know what tends to happen when there are constant explosions going off.

"I think we should wake up the Guardromon first," Izzy suggests. "If only because, if things go badly, we can just turn him off again." You still can't understand why a living being would have a power button. Why would a living being have a working power button?

"That sounds like a good idea," Mimi agrees. "But... who's going to do the talking?" That's a good point. Particularly when you're not entirely sure what needs asking in the first place.

[ ] Handle it yourself.
-[ ] Focus on why the fighting is happening.
-[ ] Get whatever information you can on Tai and Matt.
-[ ] ...Seriously, what's with the power button?

[ ] Have Mimi handle it.

[ ] Have Izzy handle it.

[ ] No better teacher than experience, right? Give the job to Joe.

[ ] Let Kari do it. It'll make her feel useful.

Izzy is a definite NO. I don't see any reason to put Joe on the spot here. Sora's CHA is 19, and I'm not sure how that compares to Mimi or Kari. I think I'll just vote for Sora for now while possibly changing it later if the discussion reveals a good reason to vote for one of the others.

[X] Handle it yourself.
-[X] Focus on why the fighting is happening.

The important thing right now is to stop the fight. We can ask any survivors about Matt and Tai.

...Really? Nobody trusts anyone else to do anything? Not even the one with a natural inclination for Charisma? ...Okay, then.

I'm just waiting for the day that Sora's Diplomacy fails badly enough to let Tai and Izzy talk again.

He Doesn't Get Out Much
Waking up the Guardromon is as simple as pressing the power button. You still don't know why a Digimon has a power button, but that's something which can be ignored for the time being. The lights of the robot's eyes are the first sign that it has worked, though it takes a few seconds.

"WHO ARE YOU?" He asks, and you wince. That voice... You don't think you've ever heard anything so grating, and you've heard Tai attempt to sing! "THERE IS NO RECORD OF YOUR TYPE OF DIGIMON IN MY DATABANKS."
(Sora's Diplomacy total: 48)
"We're not Digimon," You explain, wondering if this is normal for mechanical Digimon. It's not like you've ever met any to know for sure, it very well could be. "We're humans. You know, DigiDestined?" He has heard of that, right?

"IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN SEVEN HUNDRED YEARS SINCE THE LAST CONFIRMED SIGHTING OF A DIGIDESTINED. I MUST REQUEST PROOF OF YOUR CLAIMS." Okay, fair enough.

"We have our Digivices right here." That should be good enough, right? You quickly fish the blue device out of your pocket and show it to the Champion.

"...UNDERSTOOD. NOW, MAY I ASK WHAT THE MEANING OF THIS CONVERSATION IS?"

"We want to know why this fight is happening," You explain. "We were separated from two of our teammates, and are trying to find them again, but this huge fight got in the way. Do you know how this started?"

"I BELIEVE THIS BEGAN WHEN THE RAILROAD WORKER'S UNION WENT ON STRIKE."

Believe? He doesn't even know for sure? That's probably not a good sign. "They did? Why is that?"

"I DO NOT KNOW. I DO NOT WORK ON THE RAILROAD."

"...But you still got involved in the fight." You don't know why you're even surprised- you know a few people who would do the exact same thing, if given a chance. This is probably a sign that you need saner friends.

...Oh, well. Sanity's overrated, anyway.

"I DO NOT NEED TO KNOW WHY FIGHTS OCCUR TO INVOLVE MYSELF IN THEM." That seems... sort of like this Digimon maybe doesn't make the best life choices. Which sort of explains why he was in the middle of a fight involving large numbers of explosions in the first place. "PARTICULARLY WHEN OTHER DIGIMON DO NOT LIKE MACHINES."

...Somehow, you don't think that randomly getting involved in every fight that comes his way would do this Digimon any favors with that. If that's what's going on. You're pretty sure it is.

At the very least, this line of interrogation isn't going all that well.

[ ] Keep questioning the Guardromon.
-[ ] What makes him think other Digimon don't like machines?
-[ ] Ask about the reason for the power button.
-[ ] Explain to him that maybe it's important to know why a fight's happening before joining in.

[ ] Move to the Golemon.
-[ ] Does this one know why the fight's happening?
-[ ] Any news on Tai and Matt? Any at all?

...Really? Nobody trusts anyone else to do anything? Not even the one with a natural inclination for Charisma? ...Okay, then.
I wasn't sure what Mimi and Kari's Charisma scores were compared to Sora's. I guess Mimi is the one with a natural inclination for Charisma?

[X] Move to the Golemon.
-[X] Does this one know why the fight's happening?

I'm still hoping to figure out what's going on. I considered asking Guardromon why he thinks other Digimon don't like machines, but railroad workers shouldn't be biased against machines when machines are the reason they have work. Unless they think they're having to work too much?

Curious to know why, let ask as much questions before waking the other

[X] Move to the Golemon.
-[X] Does this one know why the fight's happening?

Asking about the power button seems like it could backfire - it can be interpreted as an implied threat, and even if it's not, it's still impolite to ask him about his weakness.
